In "82 I was in 5th grade . We went to visit my grandparents in Blackwell, OK. My grandpa took us to visit Clifford (when his shop was in Blackwell). I remember that hull of a cab, sitting on the concrete floor. Probably one of the many influences I could accredit (or blame lol) for my love of trucks/trucking.
Two years ago, had a load into okc and stopped by to chat. I asked him about the bull nose I had seen as a kid. You could hear the disappointment in his voice when he said, "No..its gone".
Glad to see it's back home where it belongs.
A big wave of the hand to the Wilkins family from the Hoods.

Awesome Mr Asian Mai show. I could listen to this fine gentlemen for hours back when trucking was full of commradary and drivers actually stopped and talked to one another in the truck stop aet together and helped each other on the side of the road. Would talk on the CB and actually give good feed back now a days everyone's on their own worst part is there's no respect and most guys have NO clue what they are doing.

I used to spend a lot of time in the early 80's at the King 8 hauling Ca. to Vegas. Damn those were the good old days. It was a truck stop, motel and casino back then. They used to have a band play live in the tiny casino and I met Ray Charles there at the bar one night and he ended up doing a few songs with the band.

@Moda Care I stayed at the Kings 8 whenever I was in Vegas in the late 70s early 80s. They had a guy in the parking lot that would polish your aluminum wheels and tanks for a very reasonable price. I actually won a lot of money at their crap table over the years. Trucking was still good back then.

What a wounderful story , lovely family the grand father was a young fellow a few years ago, he loves his Kenworth , its a real beauti , im so glad for him that he got his beloved truck back,, if its kept in side it will last a long time , the weather is dry out there and the large garage storage will keep this truck so well for years to come , thank you for the video , i think the Cummins 250 was under the hood , im not sure but my bet its a Cummins under the hood , i saw one only in Colorado Kenworth in 1985 , they were in for clutch disc , thats all , it was a lovely working truck at the time
