      Same as repairing a boat and would just contact your closest boat repair shop. Not a hard fix, just needs to be someone who knows what they’re doing.

    1 - Must - have a bathroom door (Nautilus retractable might work well) 2- Must - the screens and shades need to reversed (shade pull up from the bottom, screens the top, i.e. Max tear drop campers) gives privacy and ventilation. 3 - Is there room for a level flip-up counter extension? 4- Can this be made into two twin beds?

    • @kenlarson518
      @kenlarson518 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Twin beds are a must for us as well. I like the idea of reversing the screen/shade too.

      @stuartstuart866 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We removed the bathroom door in our Casita travel trailer, it seemed to always be in the way. We use a curtain for privacy. Twin beds are nice as you get older and have the associated aches and pains.

      There is definitely a small market for these but some see the value in how they are built and the potential to easily last a life time. There is a lot of money in the construction and Cortes Campers is one of only 2 manufacturers that are double hulled. Not for everyone if you’re looking for a budget camper.

      Given the price there are better options out there with better layouts - 50k and it only sleeps 2? You narrowed your market WAY down just doing that! For 50k I’d go with an Oliver all day long.

    If an appliance needs to be replaced, and the manufacturer discontinues the model, or goes out of business, can a plug and play swap still be made without a mess of cutting and fiberglass surgery?

  • @jesserevilla992
    @jesserevilla992 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Great walk through. I wish all TT units would come with a Shower-miser recirculating water until hot. The Stove Exhaust fan should had been a true exhaust a simple cut-out after it comes out of the mold. And one water tight hatch inside the wet bath to hold a roll of toilet paper and shaver etc.

    • @jamiedildine1785
      @jamiedildine1785 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s exactly what I was thinking as well. How many showers will you get without saving what little water there is in your tank? Especially when you need that water to wash dishes and prepare food. Then, WHY wouldn’t you put a water-tight cover over the toilet paper in an area with spraying water?!

    It's a big-time shame that door doesn't match the rest of the camper. Sticks out like a sore thumb. That shower curtain and not a door on the bathroom is a huge fail. That makes me wonder what else they didn't think of oh I know not providing even a clothes rod for the closet how stupid is that. Don't get me wrong looks like an interesting trailer but it has a ways to go to be refined.

    • @kylekoeberlein
      @kylekoeberlein  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback Kevin. I understand your comment with the door and the best solution would be to wrap or paint the door to match. The metallic finish is built into the shell when they spray the materials into the mold. The door is purchased for a manufacturer. The closet rod is a easy add for us but some people may want to use that space different than others and part of the fun of owning something like this is making mods to make it your own. You will be impressed if you ever see one in person and was just at the plant a few weeks ago.

    I am seeing some wires loose on the bottom of the unit. Is there a reason why? It would seem as though there is a missing panel to encase that space.

    • @kylekoeberlein
      @kylekoeberlein  ปีที่แล้ว

      We do a detailed pre delivery inspection before a unit is delivered to a customer including testing all systems as well. A wire could of come loose during delivery from the factory and can be fixed.

      Probably the wires that go to the tank heaters that just need to be tied up out of the way. Grey and black tank are sandwiched between frame rails.

    I like this one. With elevated toilet I should be able to stand easily with my leg problems. The electric jacks help me also. Since I usually travel alone I could leave the bed made up all the time since there is a small table and seat for eating. This would be easy for me to haul with my van that has a 3500 tow limit. Can I get it with a longer outside grab rail by the door?

    I really like the full bathroom, 3 burner stovetop, and the oven though small is an added bonus but the sterile ALL white interior, lost me. There is no warmth to it at all. I understand that they’re know for manufacturing boats but this is a camper, not a boat. I must admit that I’m concerned about cracking.

      It can be challenging to manage both business discussions and TH-cam interactions simultaneously. It's important to maintain a high level of customer service without resorting to pressure tactics. Additionally, avoiding multiple platforms can help minimize interactions with trolls. Feel free to email at kkoeberlein@bluegrasstrucks.com if you want to start up a discussion or you can also call the main dealership line at (502) 570-5252 and ask for me.
