    I am so pleased that you have given your voice to this subject. I have always felt so isolated and that comes with HS people. I know that now but when I was younger I felt that there was something wrong with me. Now at the age of 60, I am so much more understanding of who I am and how I fit into this world. I would describe myself as a gentle soul who does not like to see others in pain, especially children and animals of any kind. I do what I can for others when the opportunity arises and I am a great believer in a positive mindset that can shape your reality. As a visual designer, I am able to often visualise where I want to be or something I want to make and I will embark on creating it. It is so satisfying when you have something in mind and then it is there in front of you. I love your channel, I feel no longer alone but instead with a growing community all thanks to your bravery to be honest about life. Thank you form the bottom of my heart. You always inspire me with your videos without fail! Sending Blessing for a great weekend!

      I can totally relate to your comments. I am a HSP and didn’t understand it for almost all my life. I am still struggling to be the person I need and want to be at 69 years old. I think I have always been a non conformist too and have always been criticised for it. I don’t necessarily want to have to conform to everything just because society demands it. I too am a kind and gentle soul but it has got me nowhere. It has been so wonderful to find Kirsten’s channel and be part of this lovely community. To know that I am not alone as a HSP has helped me enormously. Sending you best wishes.

      Thank you for your wonderful comment and sharing your story. I am sure many highly sensitive souls here can relate to your words. A positive mindset is essential for a life of content. It is like the story of the native American talking to his son about the bad and the good wolf inside of each person, fighting each other. When the son asks what wolf will win, the father answers "the one you feed".
      Going through life and all it's ups and downs, challenges and blessings is better with a positive mindset as some things are outside our power of change.
      I am very glad you are part of this community - thank you and have a wonderful Sunday 🧚

    A lot of people like to say that they are Old Souls: I sense that you truly are. Old Souls have been here many times, so they enjoy having time alone to process. Once they embrace the beauty of it all, as you have, they can enjoy the wisdom and Mastery they bring to this present life & Inspire others-as you do, elegant person. ❤😊

    I have struggled at times being a HSP. I finally just accept and embrace that people exhaust me, and I am actually better off living rural and spending most of my time with my rescues and very occasionally with humans.
    I need solitude. I used to try and force myself to be what I am not. It never worked. It's ok to be different 🌻🌻🌻thankyou Scottish Fairy for the reminder 🍂🍁

    Ive been lonely , sad and alone most of my life too. I can very much relate to you and the highly sensitiveness you experience. I am also an empath.
    I Never really had many friends or people who wanted to be a friend to me. And as you, it’s really clear in my journals too. I never realized actually how much so I was until looking back, and I’m 67. Still alone sad and lonely and depressed. But, I press on to find fractals of light in this world’s calamity as I continue to walk out my life. Art and creation , walking in nature, slipping away into other worldly books of hidden truth… are ways of some of that light. And for me , i keep my eyes looking upwards…

      I am sorry that you feel sad and lonely, that is not an easy place to be in. Us empaths and HS people find it hard in today's world to relate to the speed, sound and requirements of a modern life.
      I can very much relate to your longing for creation, being in nature or finding joy in reading. Isn't that what life is really about? Keep looking upwards and I am sure you will find kindred spirits in this community. Sending warm regards from Scotland 🧚

    I think the berries that you called brambles are what I call blackberries. When I lived in western Washington state the blackberries grew wild everywhere! I loved to pick them this time of year; I miss that a lot. Some people consider them a nuisance and try their best to eradicate them because they are very invasive and spread rapidly. Your crumble looked delicious! My mouth was watering as I watched you cut a piece. 😊💖

    • @thescottishfairy5396
      @thescottishfairy5396  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you are correct. Brambles is what we use in Scotland (in England they call them blackberries too) and we have many wild growing ones here. Some you can not reach though so the birds have a feast (good for them!)

    Great topic dear Kerstin. When I was young I never understood why I feel empty, why I can't enjoy the things that other enjoy. I felt as you did: out of place and still do. I always thought something is wrong with me. Back in the day I never heard of the term HSP, nobody talked about it. Now that I'm older I try to live on my terms and what I need for my wellbeing and mental health. I don't force myself to the things I used to do to please others or because society wants it. Some people still don't understand, but I accept it. I also try do be my best friend. Those sunflowers are gorgeous and I only recently found out that the sunflower seeds which I love, are inside the flower. I never asked myself before. Can you imagine? 😂 Thank you for another lovely video and for being so honest 🙏.

    • @thefairyqueen369
      @thefairyqueen369 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree with you. What comes with age is that you understand that it is ok to do things on your own terms and in your own way. You don't have to impress anyone else and you just have to teach yourself how to love yourself and see every day as an opportunity for growth for yourself. We are each responsible for our own journey and that is a task enough:)

      Hello dear Kerstin and thank you for sharing your thoughts on HSP. It is good to know that I am not alone as a HSP and I am doing some reading at the moment on the subject. In my own experience I have found that many people find it hard to understand why I am (in their words) so tetchy and why I let words and people upset me. They simply won’t try to understand and I have also felt lonely over the years. I too have had things said to me that are unkind and unnecessary and have made me feel worse. I think I am finally starting to make a breakthrough and putting myself first for my own well being and mental health. Your channel and content has helped so much and it’s so nice to find peace and calm in your vlogs. What a joy to see the sunflower field especially the bees collecting nectar. As you know I love bees, amazing insects. Autumn is almost here and I can’t wait. I love autumn 🍂 . Your crumble looks scrumptious and made with foraged fruit, nothing better. I still have bees in my garden, they are loving the late summer sun and I am loving watching them. Thank you and hope you have a lovely week 🌻🍂🐝🐝🐝🐝❤️

      Hello Anita and thank you for your kind comment (and the coffee!!). I very much relate to how you felt as your younger self. I did not know about HSP but was considered "too sensitive" (not in a good way). It is so good to know that us HSP perceive the world different and process all the things in a very different manner.
      You are a kind soul and you should be your own best friend - and don't listen to those who do not understand. You have a kind and understanding community here!
      I think many sunflowers you buy do not have seeds any longer (like the watermelons or grapes do not) so I am not surprised that you might not have realised that the seeds grow in the flower.
      Have a wonderful start to the week and thank you for your kind support and being part of this community 🧚

    I can really associate with how you’ve felt during your life Kristin. I’ve yet to learn the how to be kind to self and I’m nearly 61 years old. I too have only just begun to realise that I’m a highly sensitive person and that’s quite hard as I live in the South East of the Uk which is a busy bustling place. As I live alone, I’d love to find somewhere that is a bit more middle ground and quieter where the hustle and bustle of daily life from so many homes and people everywhere doesn’t take away the daily peacefulness I feel most comfortable with. Thanks so much for sharing.

    Oh dear Kirsten.....this beautiful video of you walking through the sunflower fields bright tears to my eyes......It is lovely beyond words. You in the sunflower field is again a wonderful analogy of strength....we see the sunflowers blowing in the wind but not breaking. Also it is known that the sunflower is exceptional in that its stems are the most strong of all flowers and the flower head is what is termed 'heliocentric' in that the flower head always grows and turns its head to the sun. (one can see this in the video that all the sunflowers are facing the sun) And that is such a metaphor for us and those who are highly sensitive...to always turn toward the sun and the beauty of life. Thank you for this beautiful video....I will watch it again and again.....

    I don't know if you're aware but I didn't see you mention it but sunflowers were grown and developed by Indigenous people in the Americas long before colonization. Tomatoes, potatoes, cacao (chocolate) and many other foods are foods that have been give to the world but are rarely if ever given credit. As an Indigenous person in North America, I am often told by settlers about how they brought the wheel and other technology but there are never any acknowledgements of the things that Indigenous people have developed and that were taken during colonization only to watch countries like Ukraine ironically claim it's their national symbol.
