Your videos are so beautiful and healing. I am a HSP as well and can appreciate some of your struggles. I admire your achievements and skill in baking. Someday I hope to travel to Scotland, it is such a beautiful country. Your videos show it at its most magical! Thank you for sharing.
Hello Medeline and thank you for your kind comment. Yes, do come to Scotland, if you can, it will be worth every second! It is one of the most magical places and I am blessed to live here. My baking skills are from trial and error and from years of doing it - thanks for your compliment! Have a nice Sunday 🧚
What a beautiful video.....Your home is so warm and inviting. Your decorations are just so soothing and natural. I also change things for the changing seasons. It refreshes the home and the spirit. Yes, letting go I believe is one of the most difficult of choices and yet in letting go and forgiving is freeing. We are no longer burdened by carrying the hurts and slights of the past. We learn to lay down the 'bag of rocks' (the past hurts and disappointments) that have hindered the dance of life.
I just discovered your channel and subscribed. I spent the weekend cleaning out my past life. All the dishes for a life I used to have! Three of our 4 children live in other states. Coming off of breast cancer and radiation I am looking at the life I have with my husband of 52 years (today). I love the spaces I am making. Love your channel ❤❤❤
I am from Chicago. When I was 8 I was with my family and we went to Inverness. The memories of an 8 year old are different. I remember looking down into a stream in Scotland and seeing stones as clear as ever 15 feet down. We stayed at a B and B in Inverness. We were looking a little rough, it was the end of a six month sabbatical. The little lady who owned the B&B had a tray of cakes and let my brother and I eat as many cakes as we wanted. Even though I was eight years old I remember the beauty of Scotland, the wildness. I loved it as a child and hope to return someday. Thank you for sharing this video
Hello and thank you for your kind comment. I am glad you liked Scotland when visiting, it is such a beautiful country indeed. I hope you come back one day. Have a lovely Sunday 🧚♂
I’m like you, I like to decorate our house seasonally. That way I’m never let down after the chore of undecorating after a holiday, and I keep that warm safe feeling all year round.
Greetings from Wisconsin, USA! I too am going through a healing journey in 2024. I stumbled on your channel and it filled my soul with peace. God Bless you , be well.
Hello to Wisconsin! I am glad you found my channel and I hope that you will enjoy my content. Blessings to you and I best wishes for your healing journey. You will get there! 🧚♂
I only leave my home to walk my dog, or take the rubbish to the end of the lane. How did you manage to get out and about again? I have tried talking to professionals, but nothing seems to be helping me. The last time I went out and about was in January 2020. I can not even walk to the village shop, which is only a mile away. I get about half way, and have to turn around and come back home to my safe place. I seem to have lost all my confidence, and am so fearful of everything, yet I love being out with my rescue greyhound Madge in nature. Thank you for your beautifully photographed videos, they are so calming. I find I am living my life through folk like you, and pretend I am in the places you are, and know what a lovely feeling that would be. xxx
Good morning and thank you for your comment. I am very sorry to hear that your anxiety doesn't allow you to do things you would like to do. I had anxiety therapy as one part of my recovery and used their methods to go out and try to do things. Trying is all we can do and getting into such an uncomfortable zone was terrifying at first. Yet doing it gave me more confidence and once I got over that hurdle things went forwards. The only thing I would suggest is keep trying. Maybe walk up to a certain point and next time extend that point until you are at the shop? For myself I try to find the right balance between pushing myself for healing but also recognising that I have never liked crowded places before I fell ill. I hope I could help you a little. Know that there are plenty of people in our position and that you are thought of. Have a lovely Sunday xx
@@thescottishfairy5396 so true, couldn't have said it better....healing lies on the other side of fear. Once you have ruled out any serious health problems then going a little father every day and pushing through the uncomfortable feelings, just sit with them and they WILL pass. I too had agoraphobia for years but now know how to prevent ever getting that bad again.
I am sorry you are so isolated. It sounds like finding a goid therapist online might be helpful and that way you can work on yourself from home. I recommend Caroline Sherrard from Quiet Power Coaching. ❤😊 love and kindness to you Jilly.
I completely understand, intellectually, why it's important for our own peace, to forgive. Ourselves, as well as others. There are a couple people I've had to work at forgiving more than once. As I feel it and "do it" one day. Then a month or so later, I am over whelmed with the emotions that their behavior brought me. I will keep trying though!. ❣
Beautiful video. I'm so glad you are healing. In 2005 I lost twins and almost died from my fallopian tube rupturing. After two weeks in a coma, I came home and had night terrors and couldn't go outside for very long periods. It took a lot of healing in order to make every day feel sacred and beautiful. One small step at a time.
Thank you for your nice comment. It isn't always easy to forgive and let go but if we can, our life will be better. I am still in the process too and it isn't easy at all. Have a lovely week 🧚♂
Just found your channel. As I am overwhelmed with feelings and thoughts that resonate deeply from viewing this post, all I can say right now is, "Thank you so much for sharing your life and your home".
Hello Savannah and thanks so much for your lovely comment. I am delighted that you found my channel and like the content. I have been to Denmark once, another lovely country! Have a nice evening 🧚♂
I stumbled on this video and not only is the countryside stunningly beautiful, I can relate to your personal struggles with leaving the home. I’ve suffered from panic attacks with agoraphobia for over a decade and have also been on a healing journey the past several years. It takes time and although at times I want to rush the journey or recapture the essence of who I was before I realize I too have changed and must let go of the past. We aren’t meant to stay the same and there is so much I have learned about life, love and healing through this journey. So much love and light to you on your path.
Really lovely video! The Scottish countryside is absolutely breathtaking. I too am on a journey of letting go. A close family member has estranged himself from me after a disagreement. I forgave him but he hasn't gotten to the same place yet. All I can do is hope that in the future we can heal our relationship. Thank you for your positive message.
Hi again from New York, I love your soft soothing voice along with all the places you share. I too love the sea and wish I lived near a beach but it's hard in New York. I love how you share your heart with us and your healing journey, I'll be praying for you and I know that God always finishes the good works that He has so graciously started in us. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful videos. God bless you.
Thank you for your lovely words, they are much appreciated. I had never anticipated how many people like my content or share some of my experiences. I hope you have a lovely day in New York (I have never been) 🧚
New subscriber, such a beautiful vlog, and message. I suffer from anxiety and don’t like social engagements, I participate but in truth I’d rather stay home. So many things in the world these days is unsettling, but one must be strong and learn to Let Go. Easier said then done, right!❤
Thank you very much for your kind message. I am glad that my channel resonates with you and your personality. Agreed, letting go isn't always easy - it is hard work but worth it in the end I think. Best wishes to you 🧚♂

Letting go is hard, but it's a journey, and you are well on the way to progress on the path. Knowing you must travel it, that's the first step. Taking that first step, that becomes the journey. Blessings to you as you forgive those who've brought you harm. Thank you for taking us through your change of space; I love your style.
Thank you very much for your comment Beth, it is much appreciated. Forgiving isn't easy but vital to your own journey. Also thanking on your kind comment on my style! Have a lovely week 🧚♂

I think there are more and more people trying it which is great. Thank you for subscribing and have a lovely weekend - my new video will be out tomorrow. 🙂🧚♂
😇Thank you for sharing with us a slice of life in your journey. I've been walking a path that sometimes seems impossible at times. But those times are becoming less. And it's lighter when it leaves because it too wants me to be whole. Beautiful film.
I came upon your channel quite by accident and I'm so glad that I did. I, too, am going through a period of acceptance, forgiveness and letting go. I have been on this journey for just over a year now but it doesn't seem to be getting any easier. I will be looking for a therapist soon. I seldom leave my room (in my daughters house) except for groceries etc. My heart is in Scotland even though I've never been. I am planning a trip later this year. Tapadh leibh, mo charaid.
Thank you for your comment - it is much appreciated. I hope you find a good therapist to work with, it does help in the long run. Please do come and visit Scotland, it is beautiful and healing. Have a lovely day 🧚♂

Such a beautiful video! I'm new to your channel so hello from Canada! I would love to visit Scotland one day as my Great Great Grandmother was from Paisley. May I ask where you got your beautiful glass hearts from? I would love to hang some in memory of a loved one who has passed.

Parodic?
What is your accent it is beautiful but doesn’t sound full Scottish, more an European with a mild hint of Scottish ?
You are absolutely correct! I am a new Scot and I was influenced by being socialised in Germany as well as living in France and the USA.
