Would be great to see a video that compares factions to Wasteland Warfare. Albeit both different it would be good to see side by side "how" and "why" this was needed :)
I'm really looking forward to Fallout Factions for a more high speed/low drag PvP game. FWW will remain my go-to for PvP, solo, and group narrative play due to the dynamics and variety of builds for the units. However, Fallout Factions with its quicker set up time and streamlined gameplay should be an awesome fit for when there is less time to game. Gotta have the game that James built.
I'm looking forward to Fallout Factions and the plastic sets. It will be nice to see a different take on a Fallout skirmish game. tThe only thing that would make it better Imo would be to add solo/coop, but I see what they're going for here and we do have tons of that in FWW. Maybe they will release those modes in future expansions. Thanks for the update!
Rumour has it more factions from Fallout (and FWW) will make their way into the new game! I know I’ll be using some BoS proxy models once Factions drops
Finally a pvp oriented fallout miniature game. Not a single player in any game store has shown any interest in FWW. The few i did get to play were immediately fisinterested after all the dice, skill checks, card board tokens and rulers and needing to continually buy cards instead of full rule books. They just saw most of the gimmicks as what they were, cash grabs sacrificing functionality for squeezing profit. Maybe the reader of this disagrees, but it was uniamius across 2 dozen people that i spoke to, even while i played devils advocate. I evem bought the original rpg book and ran some games (which went over better a sits more similar to DND). But EVERY player thought necromunda was the real deal of skirmish games and FWW was a poorly conceived mess of rules. I was still enamored by it, but i have to admit that their concerns were valid. The unclear rulebook didnt help. Whats odd to me is that they chose to tie in factions with FWW by going nuka world but people have zero interest in running raiders vs settlers. I hope they quickly bring the other factions into...well Factions because otherwise its going to be a hard sell. Thanks for the update! I wish modiphius and their fallout games got more press.
I too loved the idea of FWW but found the whole thing to be overly 'busy' (I find TES:CTA to be much less so, although still not as completely streamlined as I'd like), so 'Factions' really appeals to me, especially now that I've seen how the game actually plays. The 'Nuka World' focus does actually make a bit of sense because it ties directly into the current FWW wave and the three launch factions are pretty easy to wrap your head around in terms of an overall 'playstyle' for each group (more melee, more ranged or a blend of the two). There's also a pretty hefty overlap between the stat blocks of the two games so whether you wait for Modiphius to roll them out or start homebrewing your own, it's a pretty easy conversion from FWW to Factions
The gameplay looks great, just what I’ve been looking for. Nuka-World as a setting doesn’t bother me so mostly interested in future factions but The Pack have been growing on me! Those minis so varied and fun.
Just want to say thanks for all this content. Been looking at getting into Wasteland Warfare with my buddy since we've both been huge fans of the franchise since we played the OG Fallout on his dads PC around '01. I've sent him a couple of your bat reps so we could get an idea for the flow of the game. All we really have left to do is decide on the main factions we want to collect, then it's just a matter of getting the models and playing the game.
Maybe someday you guys can get a WGNR faction made. Based off the character played by you guys, including doorman guns! Maybe even the coyotes with the gonnies squad!
A Modiphius staff member has confirmed its shipping in early March. A UK retailer (who released the details and images early and I think sparked off this whole wave of news out of Modiphius) has the release date listed as March 19th. Looks like that could be accurate!
Leave to the third-parties to burst the bubble early (and thank Vault Tec they did!). I’m hopeful for a March release, if not a bit skeptical. But fingers crossed and pray to the shipping gods!
I’m into FWW for the solo component, but I’m curious about the Factions game, as James Hewitt is an excellent game designer. Nuka-World theme doesn’t do much for me, as I haven’t gotten around the exploring that area in FO4 (yet). It’s a little surprising they went with that theme instead of something more well-known like BoS vs. Super-Mutants. I’m still ticked off about the plagiarism issue with the newest 2D20 book, but that has basically nothing to do with this. It still sours me on thinking about purchasing anything from Modiphius today. 😤
Nuka World is a “niche” Fallout setting for sure, but I’ve heard whispers of the other factions making the jump (hopefully sooner than later)! And yes, the 2d20 cntrl-c debacle isn’t-not worrisome, but I’m waiting until the dust settles before passing (too much) judgement

Curious to when we might see some FWW factions moving across to... Well factions! I'd would suck if the fallout scene moved to factions and where stuck with heaps of unusable models
From what I’ve heard, there are plans to add more as the game develops. I can see many folks proxying BoS and other models as “raider” forces in the meantime
