Plus, my jaw dropped at the sound from that twin-neck. I have never heard anything like that come naturally from a guitar. My God, that's awesome.
Years ago I had a twin neck bass/guitar and I got a similar sort of sound by playing the bass neck with the guitar pickups on.
Do they all do this? Is this a fluke with this one?
I can't get enough of Bernie's stories and guitars.

Lee does some of the best interviews around. Less interrogation and more conversation, and you really get to know the folks he's talking to. AFA Bernie, I could listen to that man play for days...RIP to one of the greats.

What an absolute golden bloke. Just hearing how humble and easy going the guy is makes me want to go out and buy all his albums. You can tell he's still such a guitar enthusiast.

It's crazy how some of these life long players stay humble. My uncle plays every woodwind instrument perfectly. Plays piano and a little guitar. He never brings it up. I damn near have to pry it out of him LOL.
Saw Bernie playing a gig in St. Albans a few months back where he played that twin neck, such a good tone from and such a good player

Good old Bernie, a national treasure. Love the dark fretboard on that 61 custom tele. That's something that the modern relics never quite match either.

Bernie is like the essence of the English guitarist. You could put him in any movie about any decade in english rock and he would feel right.

Always a huge pleasure to hear Bernie talk and play like this. Loved the sound of the double neck and while the Firebird is thin sounding in the right song and mix would add the second or third guitar parts nicely...

G. Quinn I bet Joe farts more musically than anything you or I can manage on a guitar. He's a legend and well worth visiting for his collection alone.
Last time the Captain interviewed him Joe looked so bored and frustrated like he didn't want to be there at all.

Stinkfist2000 To be fair.. Joe did that as a favour to them. He was going around doing something there already. He was clearly doing a favour for a favour for a favour for someone who knows Capt. And he still did a hell of a good demo of that little Marshall. I think Capt would shit himself to go around Joe's house and now that I've watched the Reverb one... it's clear that they didn't even BEGIN to scratch the surface. His collection is a historical miracle.
I find Joe interesting in interviews, he knows his stuff and can certainly play, but yes his music does little for me. Nothing against his skill, just not that into slow blues (dont shoot me purists)

This Gentleman seems to have honey on his fingers while he plays. Magic ! Like almost all geniouses, he’s also a nice humble person ! Apart from that, he has an unique knowledge and life experience...Lee and Bernie should do these sessions at least twice a year ! Priceless ! 🙌👏👏👏👏👏

Such a joy to sit in on this musical conversation. Captain Lee, this is the best I've heard you play. Bernie... I first heard you on Whitesnake's Come and Get It... and, then looked for every Whitesnake album in the back catalog I could find here in the states. Ain't Gonna Cry No More was a favorite, and so amazing to hear the sympathetic tones from the double neck, kinda like a sitar. Though, I've never tried to emulate your playing, I know you've had such a tremendous influence on my own musical journey. Thank you for the heart you so adeptly express through the strings.

How has this video eluded me for so long??? I've watched the two other BM videos you did SO many times now it's become a borderline obsession, he's a huge influence of mine and such a nice bloke. He is greatly missed by so so many.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Bernie seems to be one of the nicest persons you could ever meet and Lee looks like there's no other place on earth he'd rather be when he's hanging with Bernie. Great video and wonderful guitars!

I couldn't agree more, Capt. sounding great. I did have a bit of a grin there in the middle, you could almost see the thought bubble over the Capt.'s head saying, "that's Bernie f-ing Marsden sat there, playing rhythm for me!" and he started to rush a little :-) No harm, no foul. I'd have wet myself long before that...

I’m kind of new to Anderson’s videos so I’ve watched a lot of videos in a short time. I have noticed how good a guitarist Lee has become since the start. Good show captain. It is refreshing to see such progress. Keep it up. Thanks for all the fun.
i cant understand why bernie with his resume isnt in the hall of fame yet, what else does he have to do? arguably one of the best blues player alive. extremely underrated
