I have thought about that too. I've watched it unfold over the past few years and honestly think it has a lot to do with all the crazy misinformation passed around on social media, It is truly making people dumber. I've seen some very intelligent people start to believe in some of the craziest conspiracy theories. I personally couldn't stand seeing it anymore and got rid of fb. Not to mention 15% of the population has clinical mental issues. What agitates me the most about it all, is these crazy dingbats have a hand in deciding what affects all of us. Idiocracy seems to be contagious as covid and is infecting a large portion of one particular political party.
