Thanks for your video I wonder which Nike grip socks you recommend. Tried to search from Amazon but can’t find it. It would be great if you could share details of the Nike grip socks 🙏🏻
Hey mate, I wanted to get grip socks since the brand new regular nike crew socks are too slippery therefore resulting in blisters. With that being said, I am looking for grip socks that are similarly thin to the Nike light weight crew socks (dri-fit) would you say the gaintheedge offers the same material and feel which is thin?
I'd try and get the Nike Grip if that's the feeling that you're looking for. The gain the edge would be a similar thickness though. Although I personally don't think the Nike Crew or the Gain the Edge are a very thin sock, fairly average.
If you check out my tier ranking list for grip socks I talk about the liteguard in that video. You can search it or its available if you hit the i in the top right of the screen on this video.
Hi James, when I try looking for the Nike grip socks online I can only either find plain Nike crew socks (without grip), or the grip socks they have are out of stock. Where and when did you pick up your latest pair?
Got my last pair direct from Nike about 6 months ago, they tend to be available from other places as well as direct from Nike but you're right they do sell out quickly, might just have to Google for them and see if any other retailers have them.
I think the problem with gain the edge is that the toe area slowly start to loosen the thread on the big toe area . and it's not just me who's had this problem my friend has also had the same problem
I can look into them but honestly they've never really struck me as a sock that would be good for football as a standalone item., they don't seem to have a crew length in the grip, only the compression line, so for me the short socks are too short. But if I can find a pair cheap (they're also quite expensive) I'll review them.
@@Lompepasning1 it's absolutely possible to use them.of course and the shorter length might not be an issue for some, just always struck me as a running or hiking sock more than a football one. Like I say, if I can get a pair cheap enough ill review them for sure.
I see that you listed the nikegrip socks in the top tier ('foot fetish') but I really don't agree with that because they have been made of such a weak material. I just wear my regular size and they just keep on tearing. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. In the first weeks I already got holes in both socks.
One of the best around for me and most people I know in my boot groups, never had any durability problems with them at all. Different people will have different experiences with things though, socks and boots included. 👍
@@Nico7gn my nike grip socks also very quickly got a hole in each one in the front (at the big toe). They still work the same tho and I still think they're great. I think the material is just a bit too thin in the toe are above the grip part.
At one point I thought I was about half way to having all the grip socks on the market so I could do a video on them all, in the last year there has just been an explosion and despite buying more I've probably only got about 20%
@@slicepro5852 your position on the field absolutely doesn't matter, there is no such thing as a boot that's better for strikers or wingers or defenders, it's all about what you're comfortable in and what feeling you want from your boots.
Good quality materials. Good grip that doesn't interfere with your feel in the boot Good ventilation Moisture wicking Good comfort Anatomical shaping Accurate foot sizing Good Heel Shape High Enough on the Ankle / Calf Enough compression to keep the socks up and keep them comfortable. Affordable Price. That's a lot of the things I look for.
Been using these a while and love them tho I have not used any other grip socks to compare them against. They are so much better than the standard socks I have been using. No more blisters, can accelerate, decelerate and change direction much quicker now. If anything, the worst bit about this company is its super aggressive marketing.. with in hours of placing an order they are emailing you trying to get another order out of you.
Gain the edge customer service is soooo bad!!! 3x weeks after I canceled my order because they didn’t have stock, they sent me four blue socks (when I needed white & black )that I never ordered and they expect me to pay. Starting to think they’re a bunch of scammers or just completely incompetent.
I've never had any issues that I would call it a scam, but, based on your story, and a few more customer service complaints I've heard, then totally incompetent could be a fair description

Anatomical shaping
Accurate foot sizing

High Enough on the Ankle / Calf
Enough compression to keep the socks up and keep them comfortable.
