Your 2 Vitrains class 37s pulling every single 4 wheel wagon (like the ocean ones) in your collection with Bullman trailing, if there are too many wagons to pull you can leave out a few so you have the maximum functional amount.

Ok an actual idea (i probably missed something), a nice little doubleheader of an e4 and an n2. Both 0-6-2 tanks and are in nice liveries. I don't know why this one in particular, but it looks nice in my head.
Another idea is a tad complicated, at the start, some coaches of choice, then in front of it, have the oxford radial tank on a flatbed being pulled by the hornby radial tank; just some adams tanks helping each other out.
One last idea is a double header of the barclay golden valley electrotren 0-6-0 and the terrier, just some small engines doing their thing.
Almost forgot to mention the important crucial factor, great video, have a nice day :D

Sam what happened there is typical steel truck behavior. They are known to behave so poorly that they make troublesome trucks looking like perfect little angels. My suggestion is to give'em a day with the Scottish twins. Donald and Douglas will sort it out.

Great video Sam! I could make heaps of suggestions. We need to see the Oxford Railgun on the tracks again! Also can you put a few of your poor and unreliable runners together to see how many unreliable trains can make a reliable train...if such a thing exists. And while I don't expect it, how fast can you get a HST train to go without derailing...I think I have had too many fun times derailing trains on train sim games lol All the best, Clint

The Mehano diesel from the train set, the one with the 5 pole upgrade, with some bogie freight cars.
A Swiss train composed of the Lima AE6/6 and the Swiss coach used as a chicken house somewhere in the landscape.
The Spitfire crew hasn't had much visibility going backwards...

this one could either be completely insane or completely awesome: triple-head the LMS GARRAT, LMS 8F & BR STANDARD 9F on a military movement train; consisting of all the railguns in the collection, the oxford warwell with tank, the hattons warwells, some grey box vans two suburban coaches and the queen mary brake van.
Wow that's ambitious Nav - that could be awesome though! :D

Great video, as always. Always love watching the livestreams too, even if I don't catch them live.
Usually class 20s double heading would run nose to nose, so the cabs would be on the outer ends for the best visibility.
Do you have a pacer at all? If so, I'll request one during next series. I've got a feeling followers of your channel would love to see some, even if they are just the hornby model (3 different toolings I believe with different motor arrangements, I have 142065 in Northern Spirit). The Realtrack 143/144s are hard to find, although they are doing some modern spec 142s soon.

Douglas with the breakdown train.
Douglas pulling a crane, a warwell with Oliver riding it(cuz he had an accident) with some open wagons, include how many you want (but you must have the troublesome trucks) and toad in the back because toad and Oliver are best buddies.

Fun fact: the bachmann Thomas range is actually OO, believe or not. This is because almost all of their range uses the tooling from the bachmann branchline range. Toad is one of the best examples of this. And the reason they are marketed as Ho is because that is the common scale in the USA. Great video as always. I'd say be favorite was the d 11.

@@SamsTrains most of their open wagons use a mold that their branchline range uses, and lots of the engine chassis are reused and sometimes tweaked a little bit from other ranges. But your probably right about the amount. Not most of them, but a lot of them.
As you requested I am acknowledging that I got as far as the J36. Which is a good looking locomotive.
Cool video Sam,I’m glad you ran the Q1 my favourite SR LOCO it reminds me of when they were pressed into service to pull excursion trains in the summer. They were great to ride behind and had no problem keeping to passenger train schedules.😀😀😀👍

May i suggest, generally, getting a vent van (a very generic one with XP written on the side) and having an Airfix coupler at one end, and a 'Bachmann' one on the other? That way you have a protoypical (XP meant the van could be run in express passenger trains, up to 1960s) match wagon. I find its' just too dodgy connecting a wide couper to a narrow, etc.

My favourite is probably the class 20s - Even if you put them the wrong way around! They couple nose to nose, so there is a cab at each end. Makes it look like an elongated class 58 kind of

How do you keep your layout clean? I have an HO layout on the floor on the side of my living room and it’s like a dust magnet
You can buy wagons that have track scrubbers on the bottom, a full train of them can keep a track quite clean.
haha yeah it's a pain - I just vacuum it regularly, and it helps that it's up the loft, people aren't around it all the time!

Sry for adverstiding german trains but i think a nice feature on german steam locos like my favourite br 18 or in english german class 18 is a nice loco it remembers me a bit of the golden arrow is a nice loco. Roco made a modell of that it cost over 360 euros thats maybe in pounds over 400. I think they would fit good on your collection. I mean its your choice. And to the german freight wagons from roco i would use a br 89 for that (german class 89). So have a nice day!

If you want some nice Inter City coaches I can’t recommend the Oxford Rail MK3As enough, they are some of the most wonderful models at a brilliant price.

Those vi trains 37s were good but a couple of tones I had to return two of them parts missing /broken but the ones I have a superb and the 47 bit that has soo much detail to had I run it then put it away couldn’t be asked

Wasn't expecting to cause a derailment with my request but then again you chose the wagons 🤣 and tbh I have no idea if they ever ran together. But they're two of my favourite models that I own and I just have a hornby J94 in the red steelworks livery and a Janus in the dark blue ICI livery and wanted to see how well your colgate janus matched up with your j94s... have to say they did look quite smart

The J36 in LNER black is very reminiscent of the J15, it’s just a shame that the retailers don’t have them on a brilliant offer like the J15.

Try a Bachmann Oliver pulling just toad breakvans, and duck or henry double heading with their counterparts, the Pannier or the Black Five, kind of like the toby and j70 run

Out of the Hornby railroad A4, and a Bachmann A4, which is the better puller? I need a Mallard for my Dad’s garden railway haha!
I'd say they're quite similar, but the Bachmann A4s have very poor mechanisms which are prone to failure - go Hornby every time!
