David, your videos are more than just practical and technical, bringing in an artistic feel that has a hint of surreal dreaming of worldwide adventures. Still dreaming. Thank you.
Yes David, it ticks all the boxes, superb crew quarters to create a happy yacht, functional and well appointed wheel house, 2 competent tenders to go the last mile, good price, all wrapped up in a professional vlog, well done to you and the team
I love the practicality of this boat. So many yachts are so opulent and extravagant it can seem wasteful. This yacht is purposeful as well as beautiful. Thanks for another great video David.🙏
For me, explorer yachts are the way to go. Nothing like going to remote areas and seeing unspoiled beauty and there is no doubt that OCEANS SEVEN can take you there.
Hi David. A timeless beauty with a history of circumnavigation, a well spaced crew quarters and all the toys. A true Explorer in great condition. Awesome walkthrough tour thanks 😊
This is the nicest, ice-rated, explorer yacht in her class that I have seen so far, inside and out; I wouldn't hesitate for one moment to acquire her for a journey! But living in northwest Canada for most of my life, and working even further north in the past, I doubt I'd take a trip to the Arctic, or Antarctica; it would be Costa Rica or Hawaii!
Another great video David thank-you. I love explorer yachts, so thank-you for showing us this one. Its always great to see a walkthrough of a yacht rather than pictures on a brokers site. You get a real sense of what the yacht looks like and the true set-up. Oceans seven really is a fantastic yacht. Maybe one day when I win the lottery or have a book published that sells millions of copy's world wide, I can afford to live the dream on board such a fantastic yacht.
Best video production I have seen yet from your channel, very well done! Although it felt like the video ended too early. Lot to like on this beauty, I think my favorite might have been that bridge arrangement. Someone will be a happy new owner soon, I am sure.
Hello David, I must Congratulate You on the way you Show a Yacht. Not only do you show obvious beauty of the ship, you also show the intricate little thing that most people would miss. I truly believe that you are the reason that these Yachts sell as fast as they do. Have a Great Day and Stay Safe ‼️ 😊 P.S. Your my first call 📞 when I hit the Lottery ... lol
An out-of-reach dream. She is a nice explorer yacht. I would have a hard choice if I were able to afford a yacht like this because I like this one which I know is smaller but most likely a better yacht, but I also like the 150ft Cheoy Lee explorer yacht QING. I love the fact that QING has an entire deck for the owner stateroom which is more like a very nice owner's apartment with its own large aft private Terrace and it went through a major refit in 2020/2021. And they're both around the same price. And QING is also listed by your colleagues at Northrop & Johnson.
I shouldn't have said that I know Ocean's Seven is a better yacht because I don't know that for a fact, It's just my personal opinion that Kingship's are better built yachts.
@@calvinh.8882 Fair point. Qing is also brilliant. If the funds were available I would hire each for a weeks sea trial in rough seas, that would be a decider. Great video as are all of the videos. Love the simpicity and praciticality of the of the layout of the vessel. Would be nice to see how the boats you feature perform in adverse conditions.
It is exquisite. Personally my favourite explorer yacht so far has been Qing which you have featured prominently, looks to be still for sale, and is basically the same price, same number of crew (some presumably a similar operating costs and routine), but with a full owner's _deck_ and marmite-but-I-love-it interior design colours. On the other hand Seven Seas can take _more_ guests (12 vs 9). Qing really needs the "CCP red" hull & outer furnishings moved to a teal colour though...
I love her sister ship Dorothea IIi too. I saw both at FLIBS. I'm a sucker for Cheoy Lee's though. They have a 137' that I don't think has ever been built, but reminds me somewhat of Marcato is some regards to the exterior. Besides Bering, Mengi Yay, Numarine and CdM, Cheoy Lee has always been in my top 5 because of Qing and Dorothea III. Although to be somewhat honest, I could get a copy of The Beast and just take that. Has everything I need on it including a whole other yacht and a teppenyaki grill. Or just get a Lynx 40M. Fishing/scuba boat, submarine, 3 Sea-Doos, 4 ATV's, landing craft. Fraction of the price too and it's steel and aluminum.
This yacht won't be in inventory at N&J long. I've been watching David Seal's walk-throughs long enough now to pick up on when a boat has him genuinely excited and inspired to throw a little extra zing into the video edit. This was one of those boats. The drone shots. The music. The fact the video was more of a "Well, here it is folks; magnificent no?" than David trying to sell it to the viewer room by room. [Italian finger kiss] Absolutely lovely. Also the number of slightly awkward "umm"s and "uhh"s we hear from the man himself in this vid, which was 0 by my count, by itself is its own sort of endorsement. I honest haven't seen David Seal this comfortable, confident, and over the moon in a walk-through since... well... Blue Moon actually.
love the idea of having 9 crewmen following every order and making me delicious meals without saying much and being invisible while i spend time with friends and family.
Agreed, I don't care how much you have to spend, I would only "invest" lol, in an Explorer Yacht. I would care more about how my yacht makes me feel, rather than impressing others. Explorer Yacht's do than nicely. The real G's know what's what though. They sit on their fancy Mega Yacht's and envy your ability to truly roam the world freely...
Imagine if you will, I won a multi million dollar lottery, and decided to purchase a super yacht. For sure & certain it would be an Explorer Yacht, and just as certain the yacht would be my primary residence along with my furry family. Knowing myself better than anyone, I'd be more concerned with a happy crew than a happy guest, and certain modification would be required to make her a critter friendly live aboard. Gone would be any ladders replaced by either stairs or elevator, and the crew could choose any cabin they want... other than the master. Imagine if you will, a crew being treated as family instead of the traditional Owner/Crew dynamics? If you have, you've now entered the new Twilight Zone Class of Explorer Yachts.
Hey David… Always love your videos, can’t wait for each new one that comes out. My question, however, concerns Wider. You have created in me a Wider fanatic! And I suspect there are many of us. What has happened to the “Wider Report”? According to their website, in addition to the 150 and the 165, and the new 135 that you have reported on in the past, Wider now has planned the 170, the 200, the Cat92, and now an awesome looking new project in partnership with another design firm that looks really awesome. Just wondering if you will be taking a look soon at all of these in your special filmmaking way? I sure am hoping so!
Hi Gregory, The Wider Report was a victim of Covid I’m afraid. I really enjoyed doing it though. The shipyard has new management now, they’re sending out all kinds of mixed messages, and don’t answer their emails or phones. Makes it difficult to cover them on this channel.
Hi Morgan, Esquel was released as a potential design that the shipyard (OceAnco) could build. To my knowledge it has not been ordered so far. I bumped into one of the OceAnco execs a few weeks ago, they have an incredible amount of large yachts in construction at the moment!

@@Yachtsforsaleblog Please David, do not be backwards in coming forward if you need ANY assistance, like make you coffee or holding any prompt boards or even reminding you to remove your shoes before going inside the yacht.. :)
Back in the late '80s we built a 65m traditional yacht at HDW that just happened to have a 9000 mile range and a fold out dive-room platform for a World cruise. Katalina II, now Astarte II, was the inspiration for Leander G, 75m. The first Katalina, a 48m Amels now called Lady Georgiana, also did a Round the World. Nothing new.
Beautiful yacht but the narrator and production could make anything sound amazing. If this 1987 Sea Ray Sundacer 260 could speak, the stories it would tell.
Someone was commissioned to redecorate, with a very low budget. If you have the cash to buy this sort of yacht, you already have reached a point in life where you understand you may as well have the best. So the entire interior would need throwing overboard. Cheap clean and cheerful it maybe .. but it would say this about the new owner if left the way it is. So the re modelling in my view was a failure and a waste of cash.
I find it alarming that so many multi million dollar supposedly long range yachts which also are equipped with multiple "crew cabin" have galleys that are little bigger than a 1980s Winnebago's kitchen area. They have multiple crew cabins but lack the capability to feed everyone on board for weeks at a time.
Did you just say a “Six and a half METER jet ski and a Five and a half METER jet ski”? I hope you meant feet and not meters. Those would be some very long PWC’s. Lol
Kind of stupid to compare a 137', € 13,000,000 ship with one that's 414 feet (her asking price was €235,000,000) and can't get into HALF the places Oceans Seven can. Also kind of blows your "perfect explorer" out of the water, Slick.
