I’m living in Vancouver, Canada. But I feel Australia to be much better than Canada for weather, lifestyle, career opportunities, development, crime rate, drugs & cost of living, Income. It’s very difficult to make both ends meet living in Canada. Also the fact that initially people have to live in basements in Canada that’s also depressing. Moreover, Australia is better for cricket lovers.

It is purely depends on person to person priority. But as a general i guess living life in Australia is bit good option.
My experience was in both countries:-
-I lived in Melbourne for a year ( Ivanhoe and Carnegie suburbs)
    - Never faced any racism/any crime or anything bad.
-Plus getting job in Australia was not hard . No matter where you live whether India, Australia,Canada or any other country. you yourself need to make efforts to get job.
Life in Australia was pleasant. Despite of hot summers you can roam around throughout the year.
    A small experience about Canada.
-Its true that getting PR in Canada is little bit easier as compare to Australia.
-But what I felt harsh winters of Canada makes it very tough to live there.
I have personally seen people who get depressed I do not know why may be due to their personal weakness or extreme cold weather and loneliness.
-Whether you believe or not but psychologically you mind/ mood gets depressed in absence of sunlight in long.
I am not saying every second person who lives in Canada get depressed but yes in some how it ( cold climate of Canada) effects.
I was in Brampton. which is kind of little Punjab/India. You see our community almost every where around you.
One harsh truth is Desi only spoil desi's.
Gore or White community are so kind and generous. I have personally witnessed this. But I experienced/ learned mostly Desi's try to spoil you.
Anyhow all in all... My vote goes for Australia....
Last thing which ever country you go..try to respect their culture and way of living. Mature and experienced persons got me.
Spread love....live and let others live peacefully.

Most of the time the temperature is between 10 to 15 degrees. And Jan and Feb is little hotter when Temperatures can go upto 30-32 degrees. PR is easy these days but if you have skills and experience then you get PR easily.

In Australia, after graduation, you will need to have 1-yr of post-qualification experience and your skill assessed by a governing body. You are pretty much stuck in the occupation that you studied. Your occupation needs to be in the Occupation List qualified for PR. Then you can deal with Dept of Home Affairs. Score for PR is very high; and there are not too many immigration places available each year. In 2023, it plans for 195,000 places.

Less economically diversified, far away from Europe, away from South and north Americas, economically heavily dependent on China, everything is expensive. Except for major cities like Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane there is not too many good places to live (you have to bring water to any remote location to populate that area). Population is exploding in major cities. In small towns everything closes by 5 PM. Generally narrow roads.

This is the most hilarious comment found on internet today ....
      1. The country with highest wage rate in the world. ($23.4 as per 2023)
      2. The country with highest HDI in the world .
      3. The economy of almost 2 trillion dollars with such less population.
      4. Verg high standard of living and one of the least crime rates as per the global peace index.
      5. One of the most diverse vegetation in planet from desert to savannah to rainforest to tropical lands. Some of the most beautiful places in the world to visit .
      6. Country with a vacation and outdoor activities culture.
      7. Trade with China gone for a near halt from 2021 .
      8. Gold Coast , Central Coast, New Castle , Toowoomba, a lot of satellite cities in development to reduce pressure from major cities.
      9. The Australian culture values the work life balance. Hence, the store closes faster, in exception to one day a week unlike Canada which is like 3rd world in recent year.
      10. Australia is paradise for outdoor activities .
      11. A good access to Asian countries and pacific Island countries as well.
There may be some cons and no place can be perfect . But Australia has minimal.

Immigrating to Canada is painful, you will be discriminated for not having "Canadian experience". Meaning if you have been working in an executive role for 5 years in your home country, you will need to start from the bottom in Canada. Low pay and high cost of living in Canada.

If you become naturalized Canadian citizen, and you studied and work in 1 of 63 qualified professions, you can work in USA as a temporary worker through TN-1 visa of USMCA agreement. TN-1 is a 3-yr non-immigration visa that can be applied in US-Canada border for $60 and can be renewed as many times as required. The path from TN-1 to green card is the same as H-1B to green card. The employment based green card queue is based on your country of birth, not based on your citizenship (Canada).

I have lived in Australia, New Zealand and now in Canada. The best country to live in is Australia. There is no comparison with canada in every respect. Some people say Australia is expensive. It is absolutely untrue. Toronto is way expensive than Sydney. You can get a single room for 600$ in Melbourne which is almost similar to Toronto. Can you imagine a single room in Toronto for 600$? I live in windsor and now rents are around $400 to $600 for single room. Now, wage is double in Australia, taxes are lower in Australia, no mandatory insurance, EI and CPP payments are not deducted from your salary in Australia. Overall, i am going to move back to Australia as I have just finished my masters here.

No such deductions are made from your salary in Australia. In Australia, there is only one deduction is made which is federal tax.
whereas in Canada, four deductions are made from your salary, federal and provincial tax, EI and CPP.
