Oh my word. Y'all are still believing all the crap about Disney stars not liking each other? Miley and Emily are just incredibly different people. They have very different personalities. It's not that they don't like each other or that Emily was bored. Emily is a very chill, laidback type and Miley is a very eccentric type. I follow Emily and she's always super chill. Pretty sure she's also introverted while Miley is extroverted. They're just different.
I find it so weird that they could grow up together and work on a set together for 8 years, go through all the craziness of being famous from it together and not be best friends. I know people grow apart but they've never seem to be close, yet on the show they had such complimentary personalities.
Maybe Emily felt overwhelmed and overshadowed by Miley's demonstrative personality. Even in this interview, Miley is overtalking her.

I love Miley, but that wasn’t it, she talked too much, didn’t ask anything about Emily, just randomly talking about old photos, Emily was trying to have a conversation and not seem like a bad listener, but I definitely didn't see any connection between them, it's a little bit sad, because they worked so long together, I thought they would have built a certain connection.

Lol I read this comment and observed the same thing. A former coworker of mines called me to catch up the other day. She was always a talker. Anyway she talked and talked and talked. I would say the occasional yeah, oh wow, yup, very true, you're right! If I had anymore to say than that she would cut me off. I used to get mad but I realized these type of ppl just want to hear themselves talk and don't really care what you have to say. She didn't even notice that I was quiet for most of the conversation and was almost falling asleep. She ended it with "well it was nice talking to you honey!" Yup sure was 😂.

Media just overexaggerate everything. The idea of them not liking each other is actually true since miley put that in her book when she was like 15. She said they hated each other when they first met but gradually becoming the best of friends. A lot of people making it as a fun fact didn't comprehend what it actually meant, leaving the latter part behind.
