@the_space_koala As of this morning, you are the only utube reviewer that has actually held one. I did preorder, but you will probably get it before me. I am looking forward to your review. It will be interesting to see what impact the built-in "AI" feature will bring.
Nice coverage. Cannot wait for this Zwo rotator to finally come out. Very intrigued as well by these Artec Newtonians which I had discovered a few months back. They seem very well made.
I'm also excited for the rotator though most likely I won't be getting one as I don't have enough backfocus left with most of my setups. The Artec is on another level (compared to other Newts I've tried like Skywatcher or the Sharpstar) - that said I didn't have experience with premium astrographs before.
@@the_space_koala Yeah that's the problem with this. Any newt owners running a OAG + filter wheel cannot use it, unless they're using a TeleVue Paracorr to focus out a bit, or an odd ball coma corrector with more than 60mm back focus.
I have the Paracorr on my Artec so I think technically it would fit there, but not on some of my other tubes, I am keeping everything at exactly 55mm so I can keep my camera compatible with multiple tubes without thinking about it every time
@@the_space_koala That's exactly my situation too. I have multiple newtonian setups and keeping everything at 55mm is just waaaaay more simple. I like having my rigs ready to go, not have to precisely align everything every time 🤪
Hello, köszönöm szépen ezt a hasznos videót,nagyon király műszerek vannak ott, engem érdekelne egy követő mobiltelefonnak mert én ezzel készítek asztrotájképeket, sok szép sikeres munkát jó egészségben!☺️
I had no idea about those Italian made Newtonians, but now looking at the prices, there is highly unlikely I will get one! They look like the Ferraris of the Newts though! I'm sure people with more money will be looking into them. Thanks! 😊
I’m new too your channel and thinking seriously of starting this hobby. I live in Costa Rica and recently purchased a home in the mountains that has a spectacular view of the southern sky. Thank you so much for your reviews. What would you ( or any of your subscribers) recommend for a beginner with a budget of around $500.00.
For deep sky at $500 your options are either one of the smart scopes (like SeeStar) or a star tracker and a DSLR. If you want to learn and grow in the hobby over time I would pick the latter. There are many subjects you can photograph with a telephoto lens only and this keeps the price contained and your equipment also portable.
Thanks for the report! I was hoping primaluce lab would be there, too bad they weren't. Instead some vendors I had not seen before, which was interesting.
Interesting video. Out of curiosity, can you talk with the stand holders in English as this is Italy after all 🙂. And will have my new scope shipped this week from Hungary ;-)
I speak Italian so this was not an issue, however I believe most of the stands would have someone who understands English too. Which scope did you get? :)
@@the_space_koala The Sky-Watcher Esprit 120 along with the SK Guidescope 50ED. That scope will join the family of a Redcat 51 WIFD, a William Optics GT71II and a 10 year old Celestron SC 203/2032 😀
@@the_space_koala GAS is a serious condition 😛 The Celestron was not used yet as that was a gift recently received from my uncle and have enough other toys to play with for now. Keep up the interesting content you make as they sure are different from most astro channels out there.
@@the_space_koala It's just nice to hear that they've been consistent this year about when it'll be available. Hopefully the December timeframe sticks!
@@hael8680 Exactly, the goal post has been shifting for years. However, for the last couple of astronomy gear shows they've said it would be released this December which is good news. :-)
wow that is discipline right there, i usually go to ATT in Essen and it almost always costs me more then i had allowed myself to spend 😅. I’d like to see a video on the Artec telescope, a friend has been looking into those, not a lot of info on their website.
My favorite astro channel on YT right now, informative and well produced.
wow thank you so much for saying that!
@@the_space_koala Very nice channel - I hope to watch it more. It would help a bit if you could speak a bit slower during your narrations. Thanks.
It is nice to see different equipment from other parts of the world. Many thanks.

I was here with my stand Astronomus...very beautiful event.
See you there next year 😁
@the_space_koala ❤️👋🧑🎄✨
Thank you, that was a very nice over view. Clear skies
Clear skies to you as well!
AstroShow is telescope HEAVEN !
Outstanding overview. I had no idea there were so many telescope companies out there.
it's the tip of the iceberg, Craig :D
Can't wait for the Seestar S30 review!!
I'm excited too, I wish they would just send it out already!

looking forward to that CAA

It's surprising they don't come, they also didn't show up last year!
I'll take the S30.
Did the rotator weigh as much or more than the electronic filter wheel?
I think it was just a little heavier than my 7x2" EFW, def heavier than the smaller ones
Great video, my wife is so jealous of your locations, bravo
thank you I'm happy you liked it, you'll have to take your wife to Switzerland!
What for type of iOptron mount is that around 7.00 minute?
it looks like a mount from the HAE series -not sure which size!
@@the_space_koala Thank you for your reaction, did you vote today?

no because we know for sure that T CrB is coming :P
Finally a rotator. Been waiting for zwo to announce this before Christmas 😍😍😍. Is there a price tag yet?
not officially, they just kind of whispered "less than 500 eur, but not confirmed"
@ that’s good considering most are around the 700€ mark
We need something like that in Germany!
I'd be surpised if there was no such thing? With all the really large telescope stores! They're missing out!
In Germany you have the ATT in Essen, mostly organized around begin May.
ATT in my opinion isn't compareable to Astro Show
here in mid December and STILL no CAA!!!!
true... but come back to my channel in about 5 days :)

Awful sound quality 🤷♂️
I was almost screaming.... there was an awful lot of noise in that place! I hope the speech is still understandable
Its sounds like they used an ambient noise reduction in post processing hence the robotic sounding voice.
the artec are so overpriced
they are definitely pricey compared to entry-level Newtonians, but they're well-priced compared to instruments of similar quality
The most important question is, what did you buy ? 😇
a bottle of coke zero while I was there :P And I got just a small losmandy adapter for my Artec - that's what the bag was for :)
