    Thanks for this info Naztronomy, I compiled the dev version today and its working really well so far. My seestar stacked images of the side of my shed into 2 of my 3 hour M31 sessions. I really expected it to reject some but it didnt. And obviously a huge thanks to the siril team, such a powerful free tool.

    This pretty amazing stuff, that someone like myself who isn’t an expert in this area, either on the software utilization side or even the astrophotography side can have a SeeStar (or multiple ones) and can almost automate all the data collection and all the data processing. I can’t wait to try this out on my new Mac Mini 4 Pro once I get everything transferred over from my Mac Mini 1 base model.

      I totally agree! I wish I had something like this when I first started out but I'm happy to be able to help others get started in their journey now.

    Thank you- you are the best! I got Sirtil and got an add on that says it is for Seestar specifically. I have 1.34 or something like that.

      Are you talking about a the Siril Seestar Processing script? That should work with non-mosaic seestar images.

    Do you have a video walking us on how to build this dev version

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don't 😔 I thought about it but it's a bit of a process to build the dev version, but you can download a pre-built one from Siril's gitlab here: gitlab.com/free-astro/siril/-/pipelines
      The download options are on the right side. The only thing is that you have to work backwards to figure out what features each of those commits have because they have a lot of work in parallel and not every pipeline has all the features. And last thing to note is that Siril will not provide any support for anything in those versions. So if you have issues, you're basically on your own.
      Good luck!

    Have you had any issues with the 'Apply existing registration' after image solving the sequence? I've tried a few different mosaics and can't get it to complete the registration without siril crashing.

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's probably a memory issue. You'll need to register fewer frames. This should be fixed in the actual production version of the app.

    Isn't the focal length 250mm, not 150mm?

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The S30 is 150mm. The S50 is 250mm. I'm using images from the S30 in the video.

    Is there any free software to stack my seestar mosaic image without loosing half of my mosaic image? Or do i have to wait for the next siril version? Greetings from Germany!

      @Naztronomy  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello!
      So far, Siril and Pixinsight are the only two apps I've found that can do something like this. Pixinsight isn't free. Sadly, I think we have to wait for the next Siril version to be available.

    Hey Naz. Do we know when they will release the stable version 1.4?

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No official date as far as I know. Their development pipeline shows that they are expecting to finish by the end of this month but that can change if they find bugs or need to make additional changes.

    Where I can get siril 1.3.4 ? Latest version I found is 1.2.5 . And I don’t have tools option in my siril.

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It hasn't been released yet, I'm using an unreleased development version. When it comes out, it's expected to be version 1.4.
      Sadly, this workflow isn't yet possible in today's version of Siril. When it comes out, I'll rename the video from "How You'll be Able to" to just "How to."

    You should use local catalogs to get faster!

    • @Naztronomy
      @Naztronomy  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the tip! Platesolving already seems fast so making it even faster would be awesome :)
      Do you know if blind solving using a siril script will use the local catalogs? Or does it still use the local astrometry installation? Reading the documentation, if I use the 'platesolve -blindpos' command, it'll only use local astrometry.
