The melamine sponges are amazing. I use them all the time. So handy for such a little thing.
It’s my understanding you’re supposed to wear them down as when you take them to a cobbler they sand them down anyway. Had no idea they have sneaker sole protectors!! Good i for Kat!

Agreed with the vibram resole! But bear in mind if the sole is thin, your cobbler might not be comfortable sanding it down and attaching the rubber soles. My cobbler was hesitant to resole a pair of Malone Souliers maureen heels for this reason, he is afraid of sanding too much and causing damage to the structure of the shoes. Nothing you can do about it but good to keep in mind before buying any pair!

Great video Kat. But, I don't know that I'd use the melamine sponges too much since it's kind of like Magic eraser and has fine abrasive properties which can strip the protective film over the leather. It's not super bad like a scouring pad but still has stripping properties over time. ❤️😊
True. I wouldn’t use the melamine sponges wet often , but as a dry sponge, it “picks” use the dirt like an eraser .

They are comfy! The leather is soft . However it is a bit heavy and you’ll need to get used to it

Ever since my first pair of jimmy choos (not wearing it anymore haha), my Gucci jordaan loafers and even all my Tory Burch(s)😆 are resoled. My Gucci’s were resoled with vibram for $80 at taka (ouch). My neighbourhood shoe repair also use vibram but only $35 a pair, 13 years of experience with Mister Minit 🤭.

Hi Kat. A couple of questions about your Hermès sneakers. Did you have any pain/discomfort or blisters from wearing the shoes when you first started wearing them? Also, how comfortable are they, especially if wearing them all day, like walking around the city? Thank you.
Hi! No blisters luckily . However these sneakers are on the heavier side , so I did get tired after wearing them for >4 hrs. I did get used to it after a while but my calves do get a good workout

Yes but I do find them to be a little slippery. It’s not as anti slip as vibram
I resoled new luxury shoes at Mister Minit at S$50. Not sure if it's reasonable or at market price 'cos somehow I feel the cobblers over charge when they see it's from luxury brand.🙄🤦🏻♀️

I think you are over charged! When I resoled my ferragamos, they were $35 for a pair. Then I go to S&L at IMM (Lot One store has closed down recently), $25 only. Vibram soles too
This is part of why I’m not a fan of the Orans from Hermès. Not worth it at all. Saint Laurent is a better choice in my opinion and I’ve definitely covered the sole immediately upon purchase.

@@KatL I received it today!!! DHL is incredible. The color is way more orange than I was expecting. I looked at tons of models and they all looked fabulous and a bright red coral. On me it looks day glow orange. My boyfriend likes it but I’m not so sure.
