That was a great, quick unboxing/review, I can hear the enjoyment in your voice. Sweet little starter rig. It may end up a gift this year. Thanx mate! Be well and stay safe.
Good to see they went brushless on these, i have the brushed version of the Hospeed Hurricane last year, still have it...its a shame they didn't upgrade the shocks and change those tyres, they are a bit too hard a compound and make it peel out easy! Good look at it Phil 👍
I bought the HS 18311 because of your HS 18311 vs the traxxas Teton video. I really enjoyed that little truck. It is durable enough for its price. Jumped it many times and it really survived. I cracked the front left C hub and fixed it with epoxy and still kickin haha. I upgraded it with metal dog bones at metal diffs. Now i think im convinced again by your video to buy again and this brushless power. I hope they upgraded the diffs with metal and harder material.
Bought the brushed version for my nephew, he was scared of the speed at first, then I made him a ramp and he loves it. Surprisingly durable too, he’s run it into the curb and trees at full speed and nothing has broken yet. The front bumper cracked on one side but a bit of shoe goo and it’s been holding on ever since

If you check the 'brushed version' link in the description, they are only £30 at the moment... 1 Week delivery! Maybe try the cheaper option first. It's only a little bit slower
Seen a vid of a brushless upgrade and the guy said it was just too much, he said he wished it was left as stock. So that little project you helped me with has at least answered one thought I had. Will be able to redirect funds into looking at stronger parts, some blank shells.

That car needs improvements on handling before making it any faster, from my experience the the punch is minimal, that being said I still prefer lipo to li-on I feel the runtime and power distribution throughout the runs are more consistent
What’s holding it back is the tries, maybe put some better ones and redo the speed run. If you’re not satisfied with the speed run maybe put a racerstar esc in it and put a better lipo in it. Cheers😁
Thanks for the reviews. I bought one of these on the strength of your video. I want to upgrade the shocks though. Any suggestions on where to get oil damper shocks for this (preferably in the UK)? Pretty cool! But not sure if i would pay double the price for a few mph . Seems as though theyve released a new one with a different bodyshell , wheels , a 3 wire servo and a new transmitter i saw on a chinese shopping app
I got the brushed one. But last week it started to make some ticking noise. I guess the gears are done. Checked on Banggood the gears are 1/3 of the price. Might be better off getting a new one.

It actually sounds like this one comes with a decent gear mesh right out of the box. It could definately do with better tyres when running on tarmac though.

With GPS you have to keep a straight line for a longer distance to actually get a somewhat precise measuring of speed.
It's hard to do that with such a small car
