Grind goat format is friends with Carl. And waiting on the interview, but GGF had a family emergency so it got pushed out. As always, love the content Sam. But I'd like to hear Carl's side of it since ACP made a video on this match as well.

Lol, In what world do you put back on top of your deck the card you just discarded with feather phoenix. It makes no sense.
But then again you could say : "It's not a missclick it's an error of innatention, and error of innatention are missplay"
But then again, how can you know for sure it's not the lag. How many times did I draw more cards than I should because of lag.

I enjoy watching ACP intelligent guy but you can tell he comes off as arrogant and very defensive. It’s hilarious he rushed to start the match just to play this bullshit deck out deck to score easy ass 500, lmao he thought! Either way watching this go down from the GOAT FB group is hilarious with the memes that came from it.

I don't blame carl for not allowing the take back. When someone uses a scummy deck to try to cheese their way to $500 you have the right to not allow take backs

Idk Carl and only just found Allan so don’t know him well either. He does seem like he could be someone who’s really confident in his plays and that can come off as arrogant but from what I’ve seen of him he doesn’t seem like that bad a guy. I feel like a missclick its just wrong to put jar back to top but who knows.

Def was a misclick as Card Destruction was right under it, but ACP knows DB lags and shouldn't have click so fast plus also knowing his OP would shark him.
Sucks, but it is what it is.

Gonna preface this by saying that I do think ACP is a narcissistic asshole.
With that said, I think Carl not letting him take back that play was also a cowardly move. Like, no matter how trash you think ACP might be, there's no way he'd have intentionally discarded Cyber Jar from his hand for no reason to immediately put it back on top of his deck. It's obvious from watching the duel what the actual play he was going for was. If it was a real strategic misplay that he was trying to cheese himself out of that would be a different story, but this kinda shit does seem par for the course for Dueling Book.
You could say he should have been more careful to make sure he clicked the right card before continuing, or stopped to let everything load through the lag, but idk. In my opinion if I'm trying to compete with someone in a strategic game, I'd rather win against their actual tactics, not off of a technicality. On the other hand, $500 is $500 and I guess it's valid to weasel out a win whatever way you can in that scenario. Can't blame the guy when you look at it that way haha.

ACP is just very blunt, but he's not a bad guy at all. I'm the same way too lol
That being said, ACP should've just been extra careful knowing his opponent would shark him. But it definitely was a misclick. It's the trash talk that made Carl not want to let ACP take the move back. Petty, as it really was nothing.
But it's also possible ACP just underestimated how much Carl dislikes him as he's mentioned the feud is one sided.

Yeah the $500 is for who has the better deck / makes the smarter plays. It's not a "Whoever missclicks less wins $500" match. Nobody brags about their ability to missclick less than their opponent. They brag about being a smarter player or building better decks. So if you try to win by rule sharking your opponent when they missclick, that just shows you have no confidence in your deck building or strategy, and that you just want to "win" by any means necessary.

idk man, i dont care about the beef, but this is as clear as blue skies that it was a misclick from ACP. Say they played irl, this would never have happened.
The just trying to help thing is debateable, not a fan either.

ACP is such an arrogant player and yet he play so bad. Not only that he picks empty jar for a 500$ challenge (which shows fear in my opinion) but the guy doesn't know at all how to pilot it. Why wouldn't you use trunade on the 2 s/t cards of carl before setting then using taiyou on jar? And why wouldn't you use feather before flipping the jar with taiyou? Poor plays from a poor quality player leading to a well deserved loss.

idk know these people but I'm kinda with acp on this. Not only were the cards next to each other but why would one discard then top deck the discard with feather? That play to me screams misclick. I bet he clicked the card than the other went to grave right then and took its spot. that kind of lag is so common on db it happens to my friends and I all the time. the opponent also had zero responses regardless. not even any to bluff. Like I understand money was on the line and acp brought this degen deck but still this just seems like a clear misclick

I was a neutral party and I hoped for a good match between these two. Unfortunately that didn't even come close to happening, especially with the misclick sharking because that's not enforcing fair gameplay. I have no clue what beef these two have and some of the Format Library moderators shouldn't even be moderators because of how unprofessionally they handled the aftermath of this match. All in all, very poor match.
