My old M113 armored personnel carrier had a two stroke diesel…huge cloud of white smoke and sounded like a bunch of hamsters fighting with nunchucks when cold started. Quick revving engine for a diesel
Dad had a '60s Cockshutt 1900 with a 4-53 Detroit (4 cylinder, 53 cubic inches each, GM - Jimmy) diesel. Brother still has the 1850 Cockshutt (Perkins diesel)
You have one of the best Old Look conversions

I love your description of how it sounded when it cranked up
That's awesome. The two stroke sounds almost like an diesel ⛽ 🤔

2 stroke diesel camper, now that's freaking neat

I think one of the drilling rigs I worked on in the early '80s had 6-71 Detroit Diesel on the draw works
Marcel, thanks for the bus tour! Do you know the length? I’m converting a 1956 28’ Old Look.
No, sorry
Posted 2 year ago. I'm assuming you sold it?
