... and Jazz Cat!
Hisaaki Kanzaki and Yoshihiro Naruse (as well as Casiopea) formed Kanzaki On The Road, a group that became a leading force behind Japan's fusion boom. In 1988, Kanzaki teamed up with Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons to release the album "KANZAKI". A few years ago, Michael White (from the George Benson and David Sanborn band) recorded Kanzaki's composition "So Far Away". Around that time, Kanzaki gained widespread acclaim as a composer when his album title tune hit ninth place on the US jazz charts (radio and records).

Never knew of this one.
Me neither. And loving it
OMG!!!! I am a huge fan of The Rippingtons, T-Square. Casiopea, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea (RIP)!!!! But I never knew this GEM even EXISTED!!!! This is very very very rare album!! Thank you So MUCH!!!!
I'm a huge Rippingtons fan. This is just absolutely amazing, thank you for uploading this! (Loving the album cover too. It's exciting seeing Jazz Cat in a different style)
I can hear “Kilimanjaro” era Rippingtons in this! It’s cool to hear them in this project!
Absolutely! It's that undistinguishable sound we all know and love from them Ripps... Kilimanjaro, Curves Ahead, and Welcome to the st James Club. What a lovely transition to the early 90s vibe!
Oh yes! As I listen more and more to this, I get glimpses of flavors from different albums. This is really a special project!
Cool album. I wish more live Rippingtons music was available. One of my very favorite bands.
wow, such a rare treat!
I’ve been a huge Ripps fan since the beginning, and this gem just made my day! Lovin this so much! Thank you for uploading this 🥰
Cały album świetny. Ale Overlaps wbija w papucie!
Kanzaki's other two albums(not the lemon one) are among my top. I was going to buy this and upload it, but you beat me to it. Thank you so much, man.
We need a vaporwave mix of rippingtons with Thomas Sowell's top amazing quotes like "The textbooks are getting more and more watered down and the original text is not being used anymore like the federalist".
Title names of these albums, please; I'd like to look into them, too. I am a major Rippingtons fan.
@@catwhispurrer137 One is Long Romantic Road and the other, is Little Road Gang. Very good Saxaphone work. Great thing is that they are not a bunch of cover songs, unlike this one.
interesting album
Thanks for this rare album even as I family didn’t know of this wonderful music thanks 🙏
and you got Backing Tracks!!!! Cant wait to jam over those tonight!!! Thank you
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
