8:06 Do your homework, Cuban never asked Drik to take a pay cut instead it was actually Drik refused to take more money because he wants to help Mavs to rebuild the team. After a few times of rejections of higher salary offers he finally agreed to take 2 years 40 mils in 2016. Then DJ ditched Mavs and stays Clippers, Cuban uses part of that money to increased Drik's contract to 50 mils.

LeBron and Bosh should be almost top of this list when they both accepted modest deals to form a super team with Wade at Miami.
LeBron made $14,500,0d 00 in his first season in Miami, while Wade made $14,000,000 and Bosh earned $14,500,000. They all had contracts that were in the top 25 money-wise, so I wouldn't call it a steal, *especially* with Bosh who made the same $ as LeBron James and more than D-Wade.
Don't get me wrong, they got LeBron and Wade pretty cheap, but Lebron's contract came with some benefits, f.e. 2 year player option on his contract and he basically got to run the whole team.
Good contracts? Hell yeah! Steals? Naaah...

He was a spot below elite. Great strength and athleticism, one of the first PF to play inside out, he had a great midrange game to go along with his post game. Excellent off the glass. Not much of a defender though. Would have been an awesome 2nd option on a great team, but he spent his career as the best guy on a really good team.

What? It is so weird that Andy is dead wrong on something. Lowry get the starter role basically after Yao Ming's last major injury, as a starter Lowry average 33 minutes playtime, that was not shaky at all, 30+minutes is pretty much the definition of consistant role.
It's more about Daryl Morey only values superstars, both Lowry and Dragic were at the peak of their market value at the time, but none of them are top 20 even 30 in the league. Go look at the next year's rockets roster, who is that 13number? That's why Lowry was traded, he is not Harden.
There is a big misconception that Morey rebuild the rockets ground up, hell no, after T-mac and Yao Ming, they only had one year *--the Lowry/Dragic year--playing without a top player and the next they got Harden, Morey doesn't develop anyone, he traded for them, those star players are the ones develop their teammates, Capela is mediocore without Harden, Aaron Brooks can't get a shot off when there isn't an all star centre shrinking the defense.
