    Thank you so much for building the MOC. I really appreciate the detailed review of it. And for the part of choosing the ponds and plants vs putting pavements, I went headstrong in keeping the ponds and plants. This set is just special that I couldn’t bear losing those details 😊 thank you again

    It's pretty nuts to see a Friends set get virtually universal praise. The red Prince of Persia shoulder pads for the Corpse Flower is supreme NPU. Then there's the INSANE MOC double down that everyone was thinking about and Brick Artisan made something truly stellar!

    I think it’s a bit weird how to indoors tree is replicated on the outside. Like in my view the tree is inside because it can’t handle the outside climate therefore it makes no sense for it to be outside. Would be an easy fix to change it up, tough. Other than that it’s excellent.

    This looks amazing. Given how comparatively unpopular Friends sets usually are, this might be a tremendous opportunity to effectively get a poor man's Creator level set on the cheap, assuming you can find these sets on clearance or something at Walmart or wherever when the time comes. Right now of course isn't that time given the set's on backorder and selling for well above retail for the moment.

    I think the proper way to use this in a modular city is to have it connected to a park in front of it, and you can change your roads to tun perpendicular to the park, or stop into a small parking lot. That way the sidewalks of whatever buildings you put near it won't just lead directly into and out of the building, they'd lead to the pathways of the park and go around it. This is me assuming that the front is the short side since thats the side with sidewalk access.

    my proffesional advice: bussy walls with ton of LEGO is great and fresh idea, especially you moving around them, so we can see them while you talk - supre cool. But, for the city, you need another room with one color walls. You need lights that are focused on the city, and you need at least 4 tables - leave them empty, you will build and add on them, but peopl eneed to feel the scale of it. You also need space enough so you can put thew whole city in the frame, and you can spend some time talking about plans "here I am going to build this and that". The bussy walls with LEGO are amazingly good background for the talk, introductions etc, but for both building and city, you need as little distractions as you can.
    Btw, I work with LEGO brics, have around 5 tons of them, 40.000 minifigs etc, but almost zero online presence - I would love to have a chat and learn from you regarding your TH-cam experience, especially timetables, and experience, if you have 30-50 free minutes at some point :) I feel I have a potential I am not using at all, regarding social networks but I am puting it "for next year" for decade now :)

    If you extend the ponds onto a second plate you could bring them together into a larger water feature. You could include a bridge as part of the walkway to the entrance of the building and really make the landscaping part of the larger surroundings rather than unique to just this building

    Love the idea of a complete building but this version looks a little too cramped for me. If I get a second set I will try to make it so the waterfall (and dome) will be the focal point in the middle falling into a bigger pond with the dome flocked on either side by the greenhouses.

      There's already 4 or 5 different MOCs on rebrickable for 2x builds, with some going taller, some going wider (48 x 32 baseplate soze) so there's a lot of variety to choose from.

    I am sorry but "having full access" is not "really nice" at all, paying for half a building is horrible. Why would anyone want half a building? If you want people to have access then put a wall on a hinge so it opens up, then you please EVERYONE. The normal reasonable people who like ALL the building are happy and the evil weirdos who are idiots and want half a building are also happy.

  • @benjaminryder770
    @benjaminryder770 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Looks great! That being said I’d rather combine them so there’s two long wings and one short wing with the waterfall in the middle. That wouldn’t work here since: a) it’d be too long to fit on a single baseplate and b) the back of the model would still be mainly open. Since my modular city build has a courtyard the size of three baseplates I’m thinking of straddling it over two baseplates and surrounding it with garden elements.
    Not since the 1960’s Batcave has there been a LEGO set that screamed incompleteness.

    If I could do it, I would buy THREE of those and also grab a couple extra similar sets at the same time along with a bunch of good tree parts, green plate and slope and work out some kind of a diorama of a park setting with a hillside, trees, flowered park, walking trails, the botanical building in the middle of that. I think a gazebo somewhere at the top of a hill nearby would be a nice touch.

    It would be great if you could do a video about organizing your many sets, etc. For instance, how do you find anything when your Legos are all over the many spaces you have? Do you unbuild sets and store them away? How do you organize the bricks, minifigs, etc.? I'm setting up a Lego area (not as big as your space) but it's daunting to figure out how to display sets, organize bricks, etc. Boxes are not thrown out. I like to deconstruct boxes flat for future reference. I like to organize instructions by set #. Can you let us know how you keep track of, store, etc?
