    Soldiers of Napoleon rules has a Wagram scenario campaign where you play sections of the battle over the day. The rules unit profiles are not very different from Black Powder, so the scenarios are easily translated.

      It's a good battle. If you've seen the videos about how to put on a big game, you can fight portions of the battle without relatively small numbers

    Looks very nice! Splendid troops, and smoke!

      Thanks man. I think the smoke really adds to a game. It also helps remembering who has used their First Fire!

    Nice battle report, well done!
    At 07:30 you say he gets a -1 for being shaken at the break test.
    Shouldn't it be onle -1 for disordered and -1 per excess casualty?
    A -1 for being shaken i haven't heard of yet.

    How many bataillons form a brigade? Cool video

    • @NapoleonicWargaming
      @NapoleonicWargaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the army/period. For later French a brigade is usually 2 regiments each of 3 battalions (so 6 in total)

    Hi there how many dices needed to roll for artillery hits. Please tell me each of its ranges and how many dices. Thanks.

    • @NapoleonicWargaming
      @NapoleonicWargaming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      At long range (over half) it's 1 per battery, and they duffer -1 to hit. At medium range (up to half) it's 2. At cannister range (3") you roll 3 dice.

    • @njgahol
      @njgahol 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually 4 5 or 6. If it's long range a -1 penalty would result so 5 or 6 instead of a roll of 4. Right?

    • @njgahol

      Also how do you make the turns from 1 player until the 2nd player gets the turn. I also have the Battle starter Waterloo 28mm

    It looks like your figures are 1:72 which is the same size I've chose to start building armies. What size and number of troops per base have you found the most useful? I'd love to get it right the first time and not have to rebase everything after some playing experience. Fun battle, thanks for recording it. Send in the Old Guard on the left! Then Bessiere unleashes the guard cavalry for the rout.

      They're 28mm, although I do occasionally use 1:72 which are really matching 28mm in their quality these days (esp Zvezda). I base mine 20mm square for each mini, usually 6 to a 60mm by 40mm base (3 wide 2 deep). This spaces out the minis and allows them to be seen a bit better. Most of my opponents so 15mm x 20mm, again 6 to a 45mm by 40mm base. This gives a visual impact of a mass of troops. Ultimately it doesn't really matter especially for Black Powder, but if I was using 1:72 I'd use 45mm x 40mm. Hope that helps!

      @@NapoleonicWargaming Thank you! Yes it really does help as it's all a bit overwhelming trying to guess which figures to buy, how to base them, how to paint them authentically (another big question - is there a single online source or do you have to buy expensive books?). I'm concentrating on building a French and Austrian armies and have nearly every unit type and have about half a Russian and Prussian armies so far. I have a big basement room capable of putting in a table of 20x6' if i want. would be easier if I had friends colluding with me. Overwhelming yet thoroughly enjoyable.
