Been using wired EarPods with 3.5mm jack for conference calls and also as backup headphones for a long time now. Best mic quality for the price imo and sound signature is just fine too. Does the job for me.
I've used the 3.5mm Earpods as my on-the-go wired earbuds for my laptop. I like silicone eartips generally but the hard tips are a bit more comfortable over a longer time.
try iems with over ear cable, as there is weight distribution the are way more better sounding and comfortable
Honestly the shape isnt great for my ears unless i really like barely put them in but they still sound great from there so thats probably what ur supposed to do
Put on donut foams
How's the sound quality of the two(ear & air)...i mean how much is the difference?
Cool, but what was the mic you used for recording this video?
Please do a comparison between
Earpods vs CX80s vs Sony MDR XB55AP
brother, please tell me will the microphone work on windows?
When connected does Siri read your notifications like on AirPods Pro?
Did you turn lossless on?
I bought this for my Note 10+ after looking for some wired earbuds for some time. I bought android related products that were wireless and had issues with them just staying in my ear. Regardless of the ear tips. I bought an off-brand product from Walmart. Wasnt too thrilled about it.
Plugged the Apple usbc earbuds in and worked immediately. No extra third party app needed etc. I paid $25 for these. Highly recommend. Sound quality is very good.
Wow. Coming from a droid user…. Shows how good these things are. Honestly, I feel they rival my AirPod Pros (MagSafe without USB c) in terms of actual slund quality. They’re obviously not the Ap pros but damn these things are crazy.
@@GasGotti After a few hours of use, I felt comfort wasnt the best however. But thats cause there isnt any tip to it.
I use the AKG ones from my Note 10 plus with the 15 pro max
@@TravisB_I honestly prefer tipless earbuds, anything with tips just digs deep into my ear, uncomfy as hell
Any idea the sound quality difference between this and the Google Pixel USB-C Earbuds?
Bro can it be used in realme gt neo 2 please tell me.
I think they are great options specially if you don’t wait to pay over 200 dollars for a pair AirPods
i’m thinking about switching from my airpods pro’s to these haha
Does it work on OnePlus phones ?
Hello!
Is this the Same quality if you have them with usb C or lightning? Or there is something in the USB C for Loseless format? Thanks
Earpod usb-c come with DAC(Digital Audio Converter) 16 bits/44,1kHz - 24 bits
Does it support samsung s series phones ?
Just put some sleeves over the airpod shells..I gotta ton of iems, kz/ cca/ whizzer, etc..Wanted to give the gulfheads a try, came with silicone sleeves , ups the bass, tenfold, I like this style better cause it doesn't stay in your head so to text..yeah..you can buy sleeves for any gulfhead/ drivers/ airpods / others design.sound has to breath to sound natural, and the gulfheads ,mx 500 shell types, do just that, where iems you insert , keep it inside your head, .nice review
I'm glad apple finally made a usb-c version of earpods since every single other brand uses those rubber buds that never fit my ear comfortably. Doesn't matter the shape or size they always fall out.
yes, the earpods are the only good earbuds that actually fit my ears comfortably
I agree, the gain is a little high on the mic. Your voice came through a little saturated. I did however just ordered them for myself. Thanks for your useful review.
Would you be so kind to try it on an android smartphone?
I would like to know if thanks to the usb-c connection the volume buttons and mic will work unlike the 3,5 jack connector.
Many thanks in advance.
Trying it on the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. Works perfectly fine and the volume controls are working as well.
I have the apple dongle dac to connect my wired headphones to my samsung phone but i have found out as have others that on android the dac limits volume level that just isn't loud enough. How are these wired earbuds volume wise on android ?

Hi, do you know if these EarPods (USB-C) are good for fps games, like Valorant or CS:GO? If it is noticeable, can you know exactly where the sound is coming from? Just like with headsets
you can watch aceu, apex legend pro player. he is using earpods usb c

These are great for teams meetings on the laptop
Are their any differences between usbc lighting and 3.5mm EarPods sound quality?
@@alexburnashev57533.5mm will always sound better
From my personal experience, the 3.5mm has fuller bass compared to the lightning one. The lightning one is more balanced tho, I assume the usb c is as good or not better.
Make comparison with edifier p 180 plus Type C
Great review.
Is the lossless audio only on the USB-C version or does the lightning and 3.5 mm headphone jack versions have it to
Just the usbc and lightning get it so far as i know.
All technically support lossless, since they are wired, there is nothing to lose
Any idea if I can connect it to my lenovo Thinkpad usb c port for audio?
Yup! They should act just like any ol' pair of USB-C earbuds/headphones. Happy listening!
@@SoundGuysBetween it and the Google Pixel USB-C Earbuds, which do you think has the better sound quality?
My earpods 3.5 and lightning are now 8 and 7 years old and still hold up well against the daily abuse. I bought lots of eartips from amazon tho cause the right one never seem to get on well with my right ear
im planning to buy one for my pc just for gaming, is there a difference between aux and lightning and usb c ?
If it's there any difference, then which one is better?
I can’t speak to audio quality compared among those three because I am not an audiophile and they all sound fine to me, but for Windows/Linux PC use the 3.5mm will sound good but the inline controls won’t work, the lightning won’t plug in at all, and the USB-C will sound good and have working inline controls (assuming you have a USB-C port)
Yeah they are good, but is it possible to connect with a windows laptop 💻 with type-C port. Is it gonna work.
yes
Listening to this video with the earpods too, good quality
And these used to be free in the box back in the days 😩

Good part is that they support lossless audio but not high resolution lossless audio.
" it is equipped with a DAC that supports 48kHz. Apple Music's lossless audio is “lossless: maximum resolution 24bit/48kHz” and “high-resolution lossless: maximum resolution 24bit/192kHz”, so EarPods (USB-C) are lossless".

On bluetooth technology, audio comes down when microphone is used.
Cam U guy help me with this?
I'm a professional music producer, already have the AirPods Pro 2 but yesterday I've lost one AirPod so even if I will buy a new pair once again, I'm thinking to buy these wire EarPods but my main question is if they're sound quality good enough? I've tried other Bluetooth brand today but they all sound quiet and muddy, would you guys recommend me to buy them as an option when I go running or something?
I think you'll find the AirPods Pro 2 more convenient for running. While the EarPods deliver decent sound quality, they don't have any ANC, nor can you get a proper seal, and the cable may be annoying for some while exercising. In terms of sound quality, you'll hear more bass/low-end with the AirPods Pro 2 compared to the EarPods, thanks to the Pro's use of ear tips.
Overall, I'd go with the AirPods Pro 2 if you can. However, the EarPods aren't bad at all-just may have a few inconveniences in comparison. Hope this helps. Happy listening!
is this works if plug directly to usb c port on macbook air m 1?
yes
Are there any differences between these and the lightening EarPods?
As far as quality
@@CarsTechWood They seemed to sound better than the lightning EarPods - at least to my ears. But that's mostly been for conference calls - don't listen to music with EarPods too much these days.
@@OweEyeSea interesting. I would love to know if they changed anything besides the connector
@@CarsTechWood Physically they seem mostly the same unless you compare them carefully side by side. The earbuds themselves feel slightly heavier - not when wearing them but holding them in my hand. The cord is slightly thicker as well. Again, you don't notice either of these unless you're directly comparing them. But it seems something has changed.
It would be interesting if someone would do a tear down to compare, but it probably wouldn't get enough views to make it worth their time.
@@CarsTechWood Take comparisons with a grain of salt unless they're both new from packaging or cleaned by someone who knew what they were doing. Many people will old apple earpods (wired or even bluetooth) never cleaned them, so all the air ports are gunked up and blocked, impacting the sound. "New" ones will sound better if the old ones were never cleaned.
I’ve ordered the USB C Earpods by mistake and I am using an iPhone 13. Are there any adapters that supports audio? Cause I’ve bought a few and they’re only good for data transfers and charging
I recommend just buying a lighting EarPod or getting a 3.5 mm headphone (EarPod or maybe an old wired Bose Soundsport, or whatever you want there are many of these) and buy Apple’s 3.5mm to lightning adapter
@@AdaDenaliDo you think the google pixel usb-c earbuds wired is better than this on sound quality?
@@henrymuogor6335 I haven’t tried wired pixel earbuds, didn’t know there were wired pixel earbuds. But maybe I should check em out
For twenty bucks, these are solid earbuds. My desktop computer is the only thing I own that doesn't have a USB-C port, but I have much nicer over ear headphones I use on that. My work computer, phone, and laptop all have USB-C ports, though, so it's pretty seamless for taking calls or having a set of earbuds I don't need any adapters for.
It doesn't hurt that they also sound pretty good.
Which one should i get the airpods type c or the akg type c earphones???
AirPods
I got these specifically because there was barely any sound isolation, I want them for home incase people are calling me just for casual youtube and music and stuff. I already have a pair of pretty great sounding IEM's for when I really want some great sound with good isolation.
Does anyone know if these would work with other iPhones with a lightning dongle?
That’s what I’m wondering
Does a USB-C to lightning adapter even exist?
@@AdaDenaliyeah, they do, but they aren’t common.
you can buy lightning once, they also come with lightning port
What’s the song at 3:12?
I like earpods precisely because of how tame the bass is compared to other brands. I listen to mostly metal/rock, so headphones with too much bass just muddle the sound and takes away the clarity of guitar riffs for me. Earpods have perfect balance for that, I can hear vocals and guitars crystal clear, and it's not like the bass is inaudible, far from it actually, it's just...exactly enough. In fact I just bought these with the USB-c connector to use on my windows notebook, and I think it's noticeably more bass heavy than the one I have with lightning connector. Now, I don't know if that's because of how my notebook processess sounds, or if the hardware is actually more bass heavy then the other one I have. (because of lightning, I only use my old one with my iPhone)
Glad you're enjoying your EarPods. Happy listening! :D
so which one is better, the lightning or usbc?
@@dunianep For my personal taste, the old signature (less bass). But the new one is not that offensive either, still good.
I've always been a huge fan of apple earbuds. They're my favorite casual earbuds to use. I really dislike in ears, because they're uncomfortable for me and never fit right. A game changer for Earpods is putting foam covers on them. Any standard foam cover like on other earbuds will fit, and I love how it improves the sound and comfort. I never see anyone at all talk about doing it.
Thanks bro, I like it too.
Which foam covers did you use please
Can you name the foam covers you used?
I always put donut foams, Earpods will stay in your ears without adjusting, no more discomfort. +bass and sound improves.

Hello there, I trust everything is going smoothly for you. I have a puzzling situation to discuss. I recently bought Apple Type C headphones, and they function perfectly with my iPhone 15 and Android device Mi 11X. However, I'm facing an issue with compatibility on Mi 11X Pro, despite both phones being from the same brand and having the same USB output. Could you help me understand the reason behind this? Additionally, I'm contemplating purchasing a Nothing Phone 2, so I would appreciate it if you could check the compatibility with these headphones on the Nothing phone as well, if possible.
They are not working On my Xiaomi Phone can anyone help
wired earphones have so much better quality than my air pods

That’s Dubstep, not Drum & Bass.
Great video though.
i use these for dnb and i cant lie theyre not that bad, you need to press them into your ears a lot to get the subbass and low
Put donut foams on them
Mic sounds really good, but I use EarPods for my laptop that is actually like desktop pc, plug and play, dont need 100 steps to connect via bluetooth, to charge it, to forget it were are they and I love that I dont have noice cancelation (i have Airpods PRO and my gf PRO 2) because i like to listen podcast on one ear and have conversation on other or play console on my tv. Also because it's stays with laptop on desk it isn't prone to cable snaping and loosing one or both speakers wich is a plus. Nowadays when you look for wired headphones you have cheap bs for 1$ or some audiophile bs for 1M$, so this is the nice middle ground, from me 10/10!
Every time I put on these earpods the person on the other end can always hear the mice in my room pissing on cotton. These are simply good very good.
I still have the apple earpods the 3.5mm version that came with the ipod touch when I used to have the ipod touch and I have the moon drop quarks with the built in mic non dsp version with the 3.5mm version. The moon drop quarks sounds way better than the apple earpods since the moon drop quarks sounds more neutral than the apple earpods while the apple earpods sounds muddy in comparison. I have the moon drop quarks as my backup due to its microphonics. I switch between my open back sennheiser hd 600 the marble version and my fiio fa1 iems. I even replaced the user removable user replaceable stock cables for my fiio fa1 and sennheiser hd 600 with cables that have a built in mic for talking on phone or when I'm playing multiplayer games online from my android devices.
apple have improved them a lot since the 3.5mm version
Do they sound better than the earpods that came with the iPhone 7?
About the same imo
It actually has a decent microphone out of all the wired earbuds that i have.
They sound a lot better than the AirPods Pro 2 mics.
How do they behave on Android devices? many people say that the sound is much quieter than on Apple devices?

People use it for Mixinng ! 😉
The answer is fairly straighforward a good quality wired earbud / headphone has a higher sound quality. Bluetooth latency and digital to analouge conversion decreases overall sound quality. The quality of the inbuilt dac and of course the bitrate and sample rate of the audio you are playing back are also big factors If all you have experienced are wireless buds / headphones then really you have got use to the inferior sound quality. The reason both apple and samsung have removed the headphone jack from their devices is not to save money and make smaller devices it is that they both own companies that predominantly produce bluetooth earbuds / headphones and are simplying trying to force everybody to go wireless so they can cash in ! The existance of usb headphones is because they know that wired is a superior audio experience. I am no audiophile but i grew up with the good old headphone jack and i can from experience say that bluetooth technology as it stands now is still the inferior way to transmit high quality audio.
Wired apple earbuds always get the job done . Price is Cheap and music quality is very decent in my opinion.. base and all

Yes, sometimes you need a backup to wireless Bluetooth earbuds. In my opinion, these will always be necessary to have even just as a backup. Personally I’m allergic to the silicone tips on the Pro so I need this type but until Apple releases a new charging case for the AirPods 3rd generation with the new USB-C charging port then I’ll just carry these around with me rather than carrying 2 different obnoxious cables now. I’m annoyed with Apple! 😡🤬 Apple not only released a new version of AirPods Pro 2nd generation with the new USB-C charging port but they also released just the charging case with the USB-C charging port but they didn’t do the same for the AirPods 3rd generation.
