    A lot of reviewers don’t seem to realise you can programme this Delonghi, it’s in the operating instructions of all places.

      It’s like a car radio station preset, you just press a drink button and hold until it blinks fast and tap again when the level you want comes out.

    Two quick clarifications:
    1) Magnifica Evo - the My Latte recipe is for customization, but not how you would expect. If selecting this recipe, ALL of the milk in the carafe will get frothed, until the last drop. So if you know exactly how much milk you want in your drink, you can use this recipe. A very easy recipe!
    2) Magnifica Evo actually has 13 grind settings, as the dots between the numbers are grind size options.
    Keep up the great work, team ECS!

    I believe the Phillips cup with 3 lines is differences in brew size, so the reason she got less cappucino from Phillips than Evo should have been because she chose the middle size (I believe they are 4, 6, or 8 oz). Good information though, thank you. I bought a Phillips and it was defective, so I am rethinking what to do when I take it back.

    Just discovered something that blew my mind about my magnifica evo, I transitioned from a machine I used ESE pods in, and I have a pretty big surplus of illy flavors I didn’t want to go to waste - turns out an ese pod has exactly and I mean precisely the same amount of ground coffee in the scoop that comes with the magnifica evo. You just tear the ESE pods open and dump the grounds in the bypass. I’m using them mostly for decaf

    Thank you for the great review (again). I've decided to buy Delonghi over Phllips because it's... Italian :D. BUT, I just can't decide about the model. I'm looking for superautomatic on a budget. So, Magnifica EVO looks like the solution... but... now I can find a model of Dynamica (350.50) that is cheaper that Maginifica EVO (???). Also, I've heard that 350.50 is discontiunued and new model is 350.55 with the higher price for 200€, but can't find any difference between them. Also, Magnifica you're showing on your reviews is not the same as the one in my country (we have no "over ice" function). Prices of the machines inside the same "family" (magnifica, dynamica, primadonna).... are sometimes double in difference, but it's not clear why.
    So, I would like to ask you twothings:
    1. Can you please specify the exact model you're reviewing. Not by name, but by the model number (ex. 291.60B) because it looks like thet's the only way to be sure what are we talking about
    2. Can you please make a brief "bottom up" review of Delonghi families so we can understand why some models are double the price of the other, allthough having similar specs.

      I would go for the Prima donna soul much better, I have the 290.60 its ok but better than philips and saeco especially for the temperature.I also have a magnifica s that does wonders but the soul is the best of best.

    How warm / hot do these type of machines make the milk? I've always been put off with coffee I have to drink fast because they are just warm. Thanks

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The milk will typically be around 130*F, some people find it not hot enough, but we definitely think that it is plenty hot!

    It is normal to have a better foam in the cappuccino made by DeLonghi, while the quantity in the one made by Philips was half that of the one made by DeLonghi.
    Less milk, less foam, logically.
    When you still want to make comparisons, use the perfectly equal things: the same milk, the same coffee, the same cups, the same quantity and intensity settings for both machines, same all.

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      While that may be true for flavour, we are looking at the quality and density of the foam, as opposed to how much foam there is :)
      The Philips produces an airy foam, while the DeLonghi is more similar to a micro foam :)

    • @aeonjoey3d
      @aeonjoey3d 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A friend has a 4300, and I just got the evo, the evo’s foam is awesome, you can mix and it stays on top and mix more and it’ll dissipate, the Philips is like a stale cloud on top that tastes weird the longer it lingers on top = gross
