Do you think it was the T-11 that snagged up? I don’t know but it seems like that would be kind of heavy line drag for the rocks through there. Great video, I was definitely on the edge of my seat
I think you’re right, when I was editing the video the fish was jumping pretty much next to me. Below me was a huge boulder in the water. I think the Skagit head was wrapped around the rock as well. If I was smart about it I would have ran down and went below the rock right away to get the line off the rock. Thanks for the kind words and good luck this winter season.
They always say these days, to not set the hook. When I feel the weight of the fish I firmly raise the rod. It is not a hard strike, but a lift, that helps set the hook.
Does it get any better than River Right Outdoors? The answer is no, no it doesn’t.
You are to kind. thank you for the support maybe we can fish sometime together 😉
Love the Deschutes and the Klickitat. Both amazing fisheries.
They sure are great rivers for fishing!
Great video RRO! Go back and get 'em. We're rooting for you!

the steelheader's heartbreak is real...bright side is that fly clearly works!

Thanks, glad you found me. I'll do a run down of the gear in one of the next videos 👍

I like to use a firm lift as well. It has helped me land some great fish over the years.
Also getting them on the dangle is tough. Nice video, thank you for sharing. Cheers..
@Damdochax thank you it definitely is sometimes
Great! When was this?
🙌🙌🙌
that's what you get for waiting that long to walk downstream
So very true Tyler , next time it happens, I’m running down stream 🙌🙌🙌
what river is that? gotta be lower deshoots. can you tell me what turn off it is though?
🙏🙏🙏
@@riverrightoutdoors. I start from the state park and ride my Mt Bike about 5 miles up and fish my way down.
That's a good stretch of river and a good bike ride
