Once you figure out what Chum want you'll get fish after fish after fish, your forearm will hate you and the rest of you will be having the best time. I remember when the ZAxis came out, the 7136 and 7096 are still quite possibly the best rods Sage has put to market.
Those chum are epic!
Love your site. It's great to see a river that has so many wild resident trout and is not crowded with anglers only interested in harvesting fish not just having fun. Great conversation you guys have while on the river keep it up.Love your fly tying sessions. Also a big fan of Gerry French and Aqua flies product.
And the hits keep coming. Awesome job!!
Thanks!!
One of your best videos yet!
Thanks Adrian that’s very kind!
Awesome! Love the content!
Thanks Trick! 🙏
Is this north of Seattle?
Thinking of getting into fly fishing again with a two hander this time. Looking at these Pieroway renegades. which is you fav between the 8 wt and 9wt? And what would you recommend mainly for winter steelhead with possibly the odd wild coho on small to med coastal rivers on vancouver island.
The 8wt all day. It’s my favorite and really is the do it all rod. Salmon, steelhead, big trout, you name it.
right on@@savageandsmith . Great idea for a Vlog as well. Dont think I have seen anyone else do a steelhead fishing vlog.
@@vanislandsurf thanks! glad you're here!
This the 746? See some familiar spots
I just picked up my self a 7wt compact spey and already dieing to swing
Badass!! Get out there! Haha
What state are you gentlemen in
We’re in Washington
what kind of reel is that at 4:04?
A speyco skagit style
Some nice looking water on a nice day and catching fish , hard to beat. Good thing you have a light raft to get around some of the log jams otherwise it would be more painful. My wife is a Z-axis girl , one of her favorites. Thanks for sharing.
They called that a steelhead 🤦♂️
Likely not a steelhead. That system does not have a native run of summer steelhead ever recorded. It is all hatchery summer runs. It is debated that there may have been a small native summer run population at one point (like many of the the puget sound rivers).
Exactly
