BizMatik, I'm so happy that you reacted to one of the most beautiful Bee Gees songs ever. It's definitely always been at the top of my list since day one. Don't get me wrong because Barry's vocals are wonderful but most people agree that Robin owned this song with that amazing chorus. When you react to one of their songs I'm not focused on the video but on the expressions on your face as the song progresses. Just love you and your reactions to, in my humble opinion, the best group ever!
Many associate Robin's voice with soft ballads but this one showed his vocal prowess. It is truly a magnificent song with lyrics that reach the heart. To me Barry's soft voice illustrates sadness at a lost love while Robin's is a cry of anguish at someone gone forever.
C'mon, Man. Let's just do it! Let's listen to Bee Gees every day! Think how long it will take to get through their whole catalogue at one song a day. But if you do it, I'll be here. 🙂
Interesting you mentioned songbirds. Robin's nickname was "The Songbird". Curious that in "Rolling Stones" top 200 singers of all time, none of The Bee Gees, Celine Dion, Tom Jones, John Denver and others with magnificent voices were left out while people like Bob Dylan, Curt Cobain, Neil Young and Leonard Cohen were included. I know part of the designation was their effect on music but...HELLO.... the Bee Gees were right up there with the best composers and singers with over 1000 songs and many #1 hits yet didn't make the list.
Oh I love this song, one of the Bee Gees later ones and I love that Robin gets a decent singing part. You Win Again is also a later one and it's so good also. Nice reaction Biz, very nice ❤
Written after their father died… they said of a broken heart… almost 3 years to the day after Andy died. They sang it on one of the morning shows while standing under the Brooklyn Bridge with the Twin Towers in the background, giving the video new meaning after 9-11.
Great reaction. I agreed with you on that one BeeGees song Shine Shine. He was whispering singing so soft you couldnt hear the lyrics! Once I read the lyrics I liked the song more. Glad it did not keep you from reacting to more BeeGees. So many good songs to discover!😊 Please react to Nights on Broadway - Midnight Special video, Alone, Run to Me, And the Sun Will Shine, I Can't See Nobody, Morning of My Life, Tragedy, Love You Inside Out, Spirits Having Flown...... please choose the official videos. There are live performances where they sing a song 30 years after they first released the song. They often shorten the song because it wasn't their latest hits. So the younger performances are often best for the older songs. Fun reaction- I get chills too listening to them. Merry Christmas!
You should react to Bee Gees 1997. One Night Only concert Don't Throw it all away,Tribute to little Brother Andy Gibb,Bee Gees Celine Dion"IMMORTALITY",and "Closer than Close" with Maurice singing lead..
"For Whom the Bell Tolls" and "Islands in the Stream" Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton are songs written by the Bee Gees whose title that are from the Ernest Hemingway novel's. Peace out.
Ever hear where the lead vocal resembles THE STYLISTICS lead vocals ? I don't know if you listened to The Stylistics, but if haven't, I would request their track called: Hurry up this way again. Thanks Biz! 👍👍
Title/song possibly inspired by these verses from a Donne poem (1624) - No man is an island, Entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own Or of thine friend's were. Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.

That was the stunning voice of Robin 👍🏻🤩🏴
Written by Barry, Maurice and Robin, the Bee Gees have such a distinctive sound, their harmonies are second to no other band
So many many Songs. And every Song is a surprice. I love it ❤❤❤

Robin. Try Bodyguard. Another great example of a later Robin led song.
Check out the version of this live in NYC with the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty behind them.
And the "Twin Towers". Both sets of twins gone.
Yes!
My absolute favourite ❤

ALSO, The Statue of Liberty in that video, all of it makes me tear up as an American. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

I would prefer if Barry used his normal voice as opposed to the whisper. Regardless, a beautiful song in every way.
Please do a reaction of Maurice singing lead on “Man in the Middle”. 💜💕💜💕💜💕

bee gees love you inside out

Hemingway nicked it from John Donne.
React to Beegees the only love
Robin Gibb is in the top 5 of my list of best male singers of all time. He had a magnificent, powerful voice.
It tolls for thee.
It tolls for all of us eventually.
I hadn't heard this one! Such a pretty song....
Check out " STILL WATERS" 😂❤😅 By the Bee Gees! Beautiful song 😂
More Beee Gees🎉
