I'd highly recommend watching a basics tutorial on ISO, shutter speed, and aperture. ND filters are like sunglasses. Like you said, when it's bright out, you use them to darken the video (which is useless at night). The reason why you want it to be dark is because it allows you to maintain the golden ratio of shutter speed being 2x your frame rate (ex. 1/48sec at 24fps) without blowing out your footage. I don't know what your GoPro settings are and I've never used a GoPro before, but it's the same with DSLR cameras, and I believe you said your settings are set to auto in a previous video. Ideally, you'd want to be familiar with shutterspeed and ISO for the best quality videos. ISO measures the cameras sensitivity to light. The lower the number, like ISO100, gives you the best camera quality and a high ISO like 10,000 gives you grainy footage (some cameras can go up to 100,000). You might ask, why can't you just shoot at ISO100 all the time? Unfortunetly, in order to shoot at night time/dark situations, you have to sacrifice video quality for the ability to see at night. I don't know if you can change the "aperture" on GoPros or not, but it's counter intuitive. Smaller numbers like f/1.8 or f/2.4 let more light in and a high number like f/12.0 lets less light in. Imagine a smaller "f/" (this is called f-stop) number being you looking through binoculars, and a high f/stop is you looking through a straw. The thing about cameras is that it's about balance, because changing one setting changes others, so you have to compromise in finding the optimal settings to give you the best quality for the current situation. I'm crap at explaining, but this is pretty much a information dump. A video on YT would help you understand way better with visuals. I'm assuming your previous drive video got blown out because you had your ISO set to AUTO, and it increased your ISO to 6000 or something to brighten up your interior, which caused the windscreen to brighten up and blow out. Edit: Your engine's fine as long as you keep an eye on your oil. Modern automatic cars have a RPM limiter that stops you from doing damage to your car by over-revving it. You feeling the power loss is your car hitting the rev limiter, is probably your car cutting off fuel to prevent over-revving. It's almost impossible to over rev a DCT with all of the computers and safety built in (stick shift manual is a different story lol). You'll be fine hitting it every once in a while, but don't be like those Hondas and bang limiter all day because that's not good for any car. also congrats on the suburban. big body tow pig has entered the chat
depends on where u are and what is ur budget I would say if it is diesel u can get an old one with M57 but if it is petrol small budget Get any bmw with the M54 M50 E46 330CI if u have more money and want it to be fuel economic anything with the B48 (4 cylinders) if u want more fun B58
Kick doesn't sound terrible but I'd hate to see people associate you with all the douchebags on there. I feel like the play would be a separate streams channel on TH-cam? Just my take since I like it all in once place...
