love how you constantly beat 3 stacks with garrison. That garrison commander should be promoted to n-star general with all XP he got. He can be from the family that controls that province for flavour
@@TotalWarfare Um... I know its done to death by others .. but could you do a Rome faction later? I know you are planning one with Kush, but I really hope you find time to do a series with Rome.
I can only imagine after the battle debrief for those not very smart cavalrymen... "We were just so eager to fight, commander! At least we didn't jump into the sea in the full armour, commander! We will do better next time, commander!" They will never live that down xD
Play DeI, at least try it. The vanilla turns out quite dull after a certain point...for me as soon as i mastered cavalry usage the game turned out into a "whoever has better cavalry wins". In DeI stat checking spam is not possible so easily. And even if you spam that does not mean you win by default. You are just a tough nut to crack for AI. The overall composition plays a major role, every bit counts. In vanilla i was spamming...rarely to never i utilized cheap units only in factions that were in need of versitility such as Sparta. No type of single unit can save you an entire battle unless you are actually lucky. The only exploit across modded or vanilla game is naval warfare. Ram and win. Never skirmish or board, its pointless. You might not level up this way fast but you get your victories across. Just get your best ships to increase autoresolve chances for instances that you might not be interested in fighting out yourself. I have won a naval battle with 1500-2000 against 7500-8000. (2000 of them actually naval ships) Granted they mostly had transports but still. I could had easily lost if they managed to board all of my ships in that tight area that i was maneuvering. Fortunately it did not happened, of course i had big casualties but not catastrophic ones. It was a "close victory" from what it seemed as literally impossible. Literally fought a naval battle against a reinforced fleet with like 2 armies of transports. Escort and entourage engaged me when i was just patrolling. And yes...naval battles in Rome 2 are cracked but i have mastered its quirks and wacky mechanics. Bugging in and out mid fight and still going through with intended actions. (Simply ram) Many avoid naval battles and do not like them for being so buggy. But it is a field i am very good at. The only warfare i have not completely mastered is the Horse Archer ones. And i mean those who lack great armour as a free out of jail pass card. I just can not micromanage so much, going back and forth non stop until the enemy is literally tired out. By that time i am tired myself. 😂 I am okay with light cavalry, but skirmish light cavalry no. I hate it both playing as or against it. Albeit i know how to counter them i never got to master running around and shooting enemy with light skirmishers so efficiently that even when run out of ammunation you are in good shape to engage finally and manage to get on top in the end. I hate that type of style. But proms to anyone who does play it and knows its ins and outs. Thats the hardest style i know of.

Agree, this guy is a hero! I miss that feature from older games where common soldiers would be promoted to generals after a battle

I'll do Rome eventually but not anytime soon as I have a few other things in the pipeline

Haha! Of course the fault is mine since I was giving the orders :)
Total Warfare has a bigger battle getting his units to move where he tells them than the actual enemy :)
haha! Yeah it felt that way :)
