初めて聞いた時、度肝を抜かれた思い出がある。「遠い」「広い」ってイメージがドカン。一気に世界観広がり過ぎて引き込まれる…。

他の動画からの検索で坂本真綾の名前が無かったから勘違いかと思ってたけど、記憶違いじゃないと分かって安心した。
最後のピロテースとアシュラム、嵐は愛に気付くために…と歌詞とあってて好き💕
当時ディードが好きすぎたけど、よく考えたら登場人物全員好きだった。エモい。今の若い子たちにも小説の方読んでほしいなぁ
放送してたの中学の時で、ディードリットが好きすぎてよく見てた。
新山さんが亡くなった時、ディードリットの声優さんだって思ってすごく悲しかったのを覚えてる…。
たぶん30年くらい前、バレエのレッスン行く前にopしか観れなかったこの作品。

いまだに声優より歌手というイメージが強い
灰色の魔女の初版、誤字脱字滅茶苦茶やったけど、
手垢が付いて、ボロボロになっても、何度何度も読み返した。
それだけ、惹き込まれた。
これから始まる冒険の壮大さと神秘に胸躍る感じが曲を聴くだけで伝わる良曲

英雄譚でありながら、敵の側のストーリーも都度織り込まれるから、善悪表裏一体を考えさせてくれた作品。 リアルで見ていない世代にもきっと多くの影響を与えている。
ロードス島戦記は明確に善悪がなく、誰もが信念や正義、善悪を超えた大きな目的をもって行動する。
一人一人が各々の目指す未来に向かっていこうとする様子は、現実よりも現実的な「人間」を感じた。
でもな、元々は人同士のセッションだから成立してた純化した人のやり取りだというのは忘れたら駄目だぞ。
それは「現実的」ではなく「理想的」の間違いだろうね。現実はあくまで現実的なのだよ。
それは、かなり綿密に神という概念を作ったから。
そして神々が実在し、人に奇跡を行使する神聖魔法を授けたから。
それは、感情にも精霊が行使し神秘の魔法を行使するから。
これだけの神秘を作り上げ体系化したアニメはない。
感情が精霊？魔法？って概念他にないと思う。
（いい例として怒りの精霊でバーサーカーになる。とか。）
天空のエスカフローネとこの作品はファンタジーアニメとして外せない！

アニメの時系列の進め方がえぐかったけど、op曲、ed曲は神秘的で今でも印象に残ってる。原作はきっとこの曲が似合う話に違いないとなけなしのお小遣いで小説を買った覚えがある。
いきなり原作の3章からスタートして一通り終わったら、５章（パーンの物語最終章）に移行して締めくくりですからねぇ。
原作小説はパーンの物語であるロードス島戦記と、その前日譚であるロードス島伝説、戦記の後日譚である新ロードス島戦記までは追っかけた。
だが、ロードス島戦記 誓約の宝冠は続き（２巻以降）が出るまでは買い進める＆読む予定はないですけど。
ロードス島戦記からアシュラム一行を祖とする暗黒の民がクリスタニアに漂着、ロードス島戦記 誓約の宝冠あたりの時代から新白鳥の民となる漂着者が合流するところがグループSNEのシナリオの旨さ。
ソードワールドシリーズの中に出てくる呪われし島の話がロードス島で、さらに南にあるのが神話戦争で肉体を封印した中立神の聖地となったクリスタニア。
漂流伝説と封印伝説がクリスタニアシリーズの始まりの物語で、魔法戦士リウイはソードワールドシリーズと同じ舞台でロードス島戦記に近い時代だったはず。
パーンの魔剣製造者と英雄王ロードス島に渡航以前の話があるから。
やっぱりこの唄は好き、、
オルソンの存在でロードス島戦記は自分の伝説になりました。読了後の喪失感がすごかった。
オルソンは、本当に素敵なキャラクターですよね。僕はパソコンゲーム、OVA、小説の順でしたが、1:04からのオルソンのキメ顔にやられまし(笑)。声も速水奨さんなので、セリフは少ないですが、カッコよさ倍増です。
この曲は気に入りの一つ。
菅野よう子と坂本真綾がコンビ組んだ名曲で、他にはエスカフローネの主題歌の『約束はいらない』がある。
どっちもヨーロッパ民謡風な透明で清涼感溢れるメロディに魅かれるな。
動画の映像は、ＯＶＡ版とＴＶアニメ版の両方のを織り交ぜてるね。
この歌は後者のＯＰ主題歌だけど、やっぱ個人的には出渕裕の作画（ＯＶＡ版）の方が、クォリティ高くて好きかな。
初期の真綾の歌は、わざわざ取り上げるまでも無く、全部菅野よう子プロデュースやで
出渕裕さんは原作の挿絵であってOVA版は結城信輝さんの絵デスネ。
（全編に渡って本人がかなり修正を入れてるので、まさに作画と言って良い）

Haven't heard it in years, saw the title and immediately got the tune in my head. i adore this song and Record Of Lodoss War was also special in a way I cannot even describe.

Frankly one of the best D&D inspired adaptions out there, a true classic ;)
it was soo a great masterpiece of storytelling. .. wished there where nowadays such good and classic fantasy anime around.
Mushoku Tensei comes close to this, just my feelings. Ah Records of Lodoss War, thanks for existing really.

Record of Lodoss War as a whole, both the OVA original and Heroic Knight, are masterpieces. One of the greatest anime shows of all time. Love this song!!!
The animation and designs are unarguably top tier, however the plot is somewhat lacking.

@@charlesballiet7074 late 80's through last 00's. Those were the best decades for anime.
Unfortunately it costs too much to produce. Maybe with the new technologies of GAN neural networks that are becoming very good at interpolating between 2 images it might be possible to drastically reduce the cost of hand made animation in future.

@@droidrage7880 Good luck! I'm going off old memory, so I might be wrong. There used to be a version on here with the concert video, but it was taken down due to copyright. Sakamoto-san changes into a white bell-shaped gown before the song and makes some comments afterwards about her looking like a jellyfish. It got a good laugh from the audience.

I think during late eighties the rpg like dounging sp? And dragons were popular the Japanese author was a big fan he wrote a game or book base on that it got really good response in Japan so it was made into the anime i saw it long time ago but like you i don't remember the story too

当時、「小説をアニメ化すると、OVAは映像が綺麗でテレビ版は絵が汚くなる(崩壊とか劣化とかあんまり言わなかった）」と言われたのは、この作品と「銀英伝」のせいだと、当時エルフのチャーム(魅了）喰らった私は思います。まぁ、テレビ放送版は予算や製作期間が縮小・短縮されるのなんか、子供らには分かんなかったし・・・。今考えると、ドラゴンのデザイナーが一匹一匹違うとか思い切ったことしたわ。
