    1. Because JK explained that she wanted to make it that wizards/witches could be cured/treated for injuries/ailments caused by magic, but standard muggle injuries/ailments are more difficult to treat with magic. She wanted the distinction between the two.
    2. The “dentist” part of the clock was never mentioned in the books - this was a discrepancy in the films.
    3. I think some kids know about the sorting hat - but other families choose to keep it a surprise 🤷‍♀️ in the books Fred and George had wound Ron up by saying they face a painful test or something along those lines.
    4. Pretty sure the three headed dog would have done a pretty good job as opposed to the rickety old wooden door that could have just been blown up.
    5. How do you know they did get the train lol?
    6. Again, a discrepancy in the films - not the books.
    7. They’re literally wizards and witches 😂 bit different to a normal school.
    8. It’s happened, World Cup - victor Kringle caught the snitch but Ireland won.
    9. Ron had been staying with them - something I don’t think was mentioned in the films.
    10. It did scar Ron, it stayed with him for a while and he mentioned it from time to time, especially in the book, he was freaked out. Fred and George probably didn’t really know who pettigrew was considering they would have been very very young when he supposedly died. Maybe just thought he was a student they didn’t know 🤷‍♀️ doubt they spent much time staring at Ron in bed on the map 👀. Oh and you’ve gotta think there would have been 100s upon 100s of names on that map and they were only using it for the secret passages so might not have even noticed his name.
    11. I’m guessing “accio” would have been taught in charms maybe? We don’t really see much of charms class.
    12. The slytherin rivalry goes back to the founders - and in deathly hallows (the book) a lot of them do come back and stand on the side of good.
    13. DATDA was a cursed subject ever since old Voldy applied for the job and didn’t get it.
    14. Time turners had to be ministry approved.
    15. It’s not really relevant?
    16. Can’t send a parcel or the daily prophet through a mirror 👀.
    17. Any name given by the cup has to compete, It’s a binding magical contract similar to an unbreakable vow, and if you break and unbreakable vow - you die🤷‍♀️.
    18. Multiple job options in the ministry, shop keeper, wand maker, teacher, author, alchemist, astronomer, multiple jobs at gringotts, broom maker, executioner, journalist, owl trainer, quidditch, multiple jobs at st mangos, the list goes on…
    19. Molly was the perfect person to kill bellatrix- she did so much damage to her family and friends and it was personal, for an unforgivable curse to work you need to mean it, and molly meant it.
    20. Modern muggle technology doesn’t really work properly at hogwarts, and besides we as muggles have many useless pointless gadgets, maybe a rememberall is just one the many gimmicky items the wizarding world possesses 🤷‍♀️.
In short - read the books kids. 📖

It doesn't say she used an unforgivable. In the movie she uses a combination of spells most likely Petrificus Totalus and Reducto or Diffindo or possibly Bombarda. The book just says her spell hit Bellatrix in the heart but doesn't describe the color nor name the spell.

Self-inking quills exist, as do self writing quills (Rita Skeeter's Quick Quotes Quill).
As for Molly being the one to take out Bellatrix, I thought is was such a strong character arc for her. She was seen as a mollycoddler, but she was always fierce and formidable. She had just lost her son, and Bellatrix was threatening her only daughter. There is nothing more dangerous than a mother defending her young. Molly was out for blood.

Any other teacher has a reason behind it-- I have a headcanon Remus was hired for more information about Sirius. Mad-Eye was hired for protection from Karkaroff, Umbridge was sent by the ministry, Snape was for Dumbledore's plan that he would die and Amycus Carrow was hired by Voldy so that... yeah.

The issue with Slytherin being a "bad house" and why didn't someone try to change that is a bit flawed.
Slytherin is not unpopular with the other houses nearly as much as with Gryffindor. The other houses get along fine with them. They rooted against Slytherin during the quiddich matches because they were tired of seeing them win all the time. Our POV is from Gryffindor and Slytherin, and in particular, Harry and Malfoy.

    • @CommanderCodey
      @CommanderCodey 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yeah it was dumb how they did that. All the books were in the POV of Harry so the rivalry with slytherin was only in the gryffindor pov.

I mean it’s annoying that Draco Malfoy was bad, if he was from a bad family, I personally would have sent the parents straight to jail and kept the boy in the school. Draco is one of my favourite characters because he’s a boy that has parents that are death- eaters and live in a big mansion but without love and kindness, just being angry and sad, emotional. Draco’s only friends are Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, that are slow, stupid and evil bullies. Draco became bad because all that pain and hate.

Hogwarts is not dangerous considering the outside wizarding world. It might seem so if you look at what happens in the school and take it out of context, but have a look at what's going on in the outside world at the same time. Especially after Voldemort returns in the Goblet of Fire. Hogwarts, however dangerous it might look, is still way safer than anywhere else.

    • @Colhogan06
      @Colhogan06 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I think what you said has some pretty good merit to it! It could be that anything not caused by natural reasons, like being born with it, can be fixed by magic. Then there are probably things they still cannot fix. They may have magic, but they would still need to know how to use that magic in order to repair it correctly. Hence why Harry got a rubber arm after the quiddetch match where professor Lockhart claimed he knew how to fix it, but obviously he really didn't.

About Triwizard Rules, I heard in another video that one whose name emerges from goblet of fire, he or she has to participate otherwise they'll die..... It's somewhat like unbreakable vow....
As for after Hogwarts point there are few other careers such as magic zoologist, diagon alley shopkeeper, newspaper reporter, etc.
The whole series is based on mother's love.... So the scene molly kills Bellatrix portrays that it's so strong as to kill the most dangerous death Eater.... And in another video I gotta know that she never actually used the killing curse on Bellatrix... It was some other one otherwise why did she burst into pieces? She should have died like an ordinary person without any scratch and body unharmed.... (exception of Harry and voldemort)

In the book catching the snitch doesn't win the game, it ends the game and gives 150 points to the seeker's team. Apparently the game goes on until someone catches the snitch, which could mean that if the team of the seeker who caught the snitch was behind by more than 150 points, that team would still lose. That's a place where the movies really drop the ball.

The train counts as an extension of the school.
Also, most of the students ride the train in order to catch up with their friends in person before they reach the school. They don't have to ride the train. Their parents can drop them off, they can take the Knight Bus, they can get permission to travel by Floo Powder, etc. The only students who are required to travel by the train are those who are muggle-born, and first years; at least if I read the books correctly.

When I come to think of it; not many people have glasses in the Harry Potter movies. It's Harry and Dumbledore for the most, and Dumbledore isn't even using glasses all the time. The answer is that Harry Potter is supposed to look like that, and he is too young to even start thinking of it. I am sure that with all his money, and possibly knowledge of the muggle world, he could potencially go fix his eye sight with laser. If this was back in the 70-80s it would be much scarier though. For me it was 2 minutes on each eye, with some apparatus, and the laser itself. Even if it was scary af, it was done very quick, and with no pain.

With the sorting hat they cant tell anyone about it because of an enchantment which means that it's impossible to tell anyone who doesn't know about the sorting hat about it. Once people know they can talk freely. The reason harry can tell James about it at the end of deathly hallow part 2 is because the hat was destroyed in the battle if Hogwarts at the same time breaking the enchantment

One thing we have to remember. We cannot take our human experiences, and Laws, and then compare them to the "Wizarding", world and expect it to be the same. So most of this can just be explained by the fact, that it is a different culture than our own. Look at all all of the stuff that goes on in different countries in our own world, that we think are strange or barbaric, but perfectly normal in that country. As far as the Weasly clock goes, you have to remember that Mr Weasley works in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Department. A form of this clock may have been seen at work so they decided to make one. This could also have been a gift from a muggle friend. I'm sure he may have a couple. The fact that you never see or hear Hermione talk about her muggle friends/life can be two things. Either one, she does and it's just not depicted in the movies (it does boil down to writing), or two she doesn't because they do not want her telling too much about the muggle world. This may be done to ensure secrecy of the Wizard world. The fact that Owl's deliver mail, use quils, have rememberalls, or anything else we didn't feel was logical, that stuff again falls under culture. We don't have to understand. Why did Ron get ratty robes at the Yule Ball? We may think they could have just created a wonderful Robe magically. Even if something seem simple to us, it's possible or more, that that's just one of the things they just are not allowed to do or even able to do. So in reality it probably makes more sense than we realize.

  • @fun636

If you read the books and the Quidditch matches, they are much more intense and exciting than in the movies. You get to know the weather, how people are feeling, and just much more information. So, when you read the books and you hear about the scores, it's more than just catching the snitch to win. Some of the matches are actually really pretty close, even with the snitch in play. One of the reasons it's so important to read the books!

In the Deathly Hallows pt 1 Hermione says that The sword of Godric Gryffindor appeared for Harry in the "Chamber of secrets" but if Hermione was actually a student at Hogwarts she wouldn't say "chamber of secrets" unless they had names for each year. The Quidditch thing is a bit confusing at first, but gets explained better in the books. Been a while since I read them, so I'll try to remember the best I can...
The opposing Quidditch team can have 510 points and still lose to the other at 360 points after the Snitch had been caught. The Quidditch season determines, not by the amount of wins you have at the end of the season, but by the amount of points you've accumulated by then.

Harry's bad eye sight is not because of a biological reason.....its due to the killing curse he survived. This is proved when in the last book harry meets dumbledore in limbo after "Dying" and he observes that his scar (caused by a curse), dumbledore's black hand (caused by a curse) and his eye sight are all fixed.....clearly u don't carry ur magical injuries to the afterlife and can't fix them in life.....

They don't make sense because the film makers are only interested in making a film for a certain amount of budget and under 3 hours. They also had to inject more action and violence to them to keep the audience interested. They left out any details that would explain some of the odd things, such as Voldermorts curse on the Defence Against The Dark Arts posts, since he applied for the job and was refused. There was another problem, when the films were being made some of the other books had not been written. So the adaptations left out things that later became important to know. Had they waited for all the books to be written then they might have made a better job of it. My own belief is that the entire thing could be redone as a TV serial. Giving it more time to fill in the missing bits. Lastly some of the problems were created as a result of cost measures. Especially the special effects around goblins. Having a real person helping Harry is a lot cheaper than a special effect. So they gave things a goblin did to Neville Longbottom.
