The depth of the story was insane the cases were all incredibly complex and very fun the sound design was beautifully done and the game has aged like wine. The characters all have insane depth and great chemistry with each other and the perpetrators are all incredibly believable in a real life context. Plus the motions in their faces made every decision really hard to make because you don’t know who’s lying or who’s being truthful
@@booboo4963 because people dickride gta so much that they forget what a quality game is la noire set the standard for its era in terms of narrative quality and actual gameplay being incredibly fluid and having incredible amounts of polish I literally have only had one bug with the notepad on any given playthrough
Im so glad im not the only LA Noire fan. What made this work was that they took the gta gameplay and gave it huge depth with the addition of dynamic interrogations and crime scene detectivry. And then the characters even got depth. Everyone not just a goofy criminal. Everyone's got something to hide in Noire
That’s what I’m thinking I loved this game , I’m thinking abt getting it for my ps5 and re playing it now that I’m older to understand… I need help SOMONE TWLL ME IFNI SHOILD DO IT OR NOT I KEEP doubting myself I HAVE THE MONEY TO DO IT RNNNN GIVE ME ANSWWRWSS IS IT WORTH IT 😊
Back in 2018, this was the first game I played after not playing video games for over ten years. I became enamored with the world and story and felt like it was the perfect game to play after being out of the loop for so long. This is also my play-once-a-year game.
Rockstar better give us that sequel with more customization of clothing (no more shitty presets) days we have off, activities to do by ourself or our partner, and being a dirty cop, La Noire is one of my favorite games ever and i seriously hope Rockstar is cooking up another game, the rumor of the Medieval game would be dope af too, Rockstar need to give us something besides Gta and Red Dead after Gta 6 is out 3:52 this scene always made me laugh 🤣
I never got the chance to finish the game but I love the concept of interrogating suspects and I praise the devs for the facial animation tech that was uncanny and innovative for the time. Not that I would be against a sequel but maybe perhaps Rockstar thinks LA Noire was a one shot deal where everything they needed to do for the game has been done and there's no need for a sequel to be made from a business standpoint.
I still sit down to play my favorite missions/cases from time to time and have played through the story multiple times. It’s one of my 10 favorite games of all time, easy. And I’ve played a ton of games since the SNES days. So it means a lot to me. It’s funny that both my favorite Rockstar games weren’t successful enough to warrant a quick confirmation of a sequel, with this and Bully finishing with just one perfect entry each.
Still one of my favorite games!!! They really could have made tons of different noire games. Just think. Chicago noire, Las Vegas noire, even New York noire. So many options time lines and even characters. They really didn’t think this through by not giving us sequels
Wow I love the great timing of this video. I love L.A Noire so much and have been replaying it right now again ever since I played it around 10 years ago or more on the Xbox 360. I have the remastered ps4 copy that I’ve been playing on my ps5 and just got to the Vice desk. So many memories and nostalgia for me and I was surprised to know that I actually remembered and retained more than I thought about the game and its details which shows just how memorable the game truly is. I am saddened that Team Bondi went under and that Rockstar took out their logo that used to show upon starting the game, and I also truly hope that we get a sequel somehow and at some point in the future.
if you could make it user-input where crimes aren't fixed choices where sometimes is a Lie but also truth and is balanced like reality is then yeah. But in 70yr if we do advance, these type of games will probably take over school programs to train future students.
My favourite game the cases have so much replayability to them with regards to the hunt for that "Distinguished". I have also never been so immersed in a living breathing game world as in LA Noire, there were times I would just sit back outside the station sinking into the world and listening to "Honor Rising" gently play in the background. With the additional fan made 60hz pack this game has now become my all time favourite single player gaming experience. I would kill like the Black Dahlia to get a sequel.
One of my favourite games of all time, if they were to do a sequel I think it would be a good idea to get some of the developers from the first one involved.

The Team Bondi story could be its own movie. To make such a spectacular game and be such a complete a total bastard of an employer is incredible to me. Rockstar should take on a sequel it would be massive.
This game has so much potential. They could have done multiple dlcs with different devisions, extra cases, and so on. Honestly suprised they haven't added something like this into GTA Online tbh. They have done everything else 😂
Rockstar has to make a la noire/gta type game in that era again. With the upcoming next gen graphic generations it would be so exciting with all the weapons and mafia
People don’t seem to understand that if rockstar continues to profit from gta they won’t ever feel the pressure to make a quality game anymore because it’s not worth the money and time it’s going to take there is a reason gta 6 took a decade to be announced and why rdr 2 was dead on arrival in terms of online play we need to stop buying shark cards and pushing the garbage content that rockstar gets free money from like mrboss and sernandoe
One thing that made me dislike this game in a big way the first time I played it was Cole Phelps. It's not that he's badly written or acted, because he really isn't. I just really disliked him as a character. His personality just rubbed me up the wrong way and I spent most of the game thinking about how much I hate this guy. Like when you have to work with someone you just really don't get along with. The sort with very little personality of their own, who's always brown-nosing it with superiors, is a stickler for rules, has no sense of humour and takes every opportunity to lecture others about anything and everything. So most of my first experience of L.A Noire was spent trying to get Cole run over or make him fall off high places, and if that failed, to utterly destroy his reputation as a cop through total disregard for pedestrian life and city infrastructure. I should probably give it another go, although I can't see me and Cole burying the hatchet any time soon.
Certified masterpiece. Just wish you could have had stuff to do in the city besides the story mode. Literally nothing to do but drive in free roam which sucks. Prob the lamest open world ever, let us do cop shit or something lol.
Was givin a shot to AC mirage and the cutscenes are nothing short of dreadful. The characters seem to have a hard time moving their lips in proper sync and way!
I get bored of storylines and wondered why the main character disappeared 85% into the game. I didn't know or care about the replacement dude and was puzzled where the original guy went.
Lmao since when is it "one hell of a game"? Up untill 10 minutes ago seemingly everybody on the internet trashed it and called it a dissappointment, now its a great game all of a sudden? Hypocrits...
I have literally never seen or heard anything bad about la noire personally it’s one of my ten favorite games of all time up there with the dishonored’s and Alan wakes of the world
Couldn’t agree more. I think people just look back on a lot of games with rose colored glasses. They only remember the brief good parts which can be easily summed up in an 8 minute video. Everyone forgets how boring and mediocre 95% of the game was. This applies to a lot of games over the years, not just this one.
@@i_fuze_hostages6 No offense but this seems like a flat out lie. It seems impossible to never have heard any criticism of any game, let alone LA Noire. Even the most widely loved games have at least a few haters. Plus, the internet distributes every type of opinion about every game all over the world.
Every review I saw at the time of release was praising it and giving it a good review. Not perfect, but good, 7 to 9 out of 10 style reviews. I've obviously not read every review, but everyone seemed to love this game at launch. I'm sure some people hated it, like most games have their critics, but none of the reviews I saw. Maybe whingy Reddit forums?
@booboo4963 depends how much you search the Internet, I guess. If you just look at IGN or Gamespots review, or ACG, or whoever, and it gets a good score, then that's your only viewpoint. To your knowledge, you've never seen a bad review. If you don't dig deep on TH-cam or reddit or social media for games, it's easy to never see negative comments. For instance, I've legitimately never heard anything bad about the new Robocop game.

The writing in this game is immaculate
I think a sequel should be an 80s era neo noir in like a vice city type environment but obviously as a cop.
