I love the sound of the slow paddling, with the paddles so gently entering the water. This video was beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, and 💤💤.

Thank you, Woodsman. We spent a week vacation in that part of PA in the beginning of August. Absolutely beautiful scenery. I feel like I’m up there again. All those lily pads…there must be frogs 🐸.

You are in my neck of the woods! It was a beautiful day today! Enjoy your camping and next time visit the local library and find some avid campers. There are nesting eagles at Tobyhanna SP. 🏕🏕

Both parks are nice! I go to Tobyhanna Lake & walk the trail there. In fact, you can go to Blakeslee on hwy 115 (not far from Gouldsboro). Tobyhanna Creek is there and there is a small swamp & nature trail there. It's nice there and you can explore a caved-in house on a hill. There used to be a small carnival there way back when. There's also a pavilion & picnic tables all around and you may get to see a black bear wandering about.

That green heron was great! Back when I lived in Coastal VA, in a 2nd floor apt, I looked out my bathroom window to see a juvenile green heron perched on a branch a couple of feet away. We just stood there and stared at each other in surprise for a couple of minutes before he flew off. It was surreal, like staring at a pterodactyl. They are much larger than they look at a distance. Also caught sight of a huge Indigo blue dragonfly off your bow. Really cool video! Thanks for taking us along for the paddle!

Looking forward to your next 2 - my dad used to take me camping when I was a kid at Promised Land and Tobyhanna, way back in the late 50s and early 60s.

Nice one, Cliff!! That lake looks like it's eventually going to become a swamp, still water makes it that way. I almost expected to see an alligator head popping up ahead of you because that lake reminds me of so many in Florida

I loved this video. We used to have a water garden in our yard and we grew lily pads. We got beautiful yellow and pink flowers. The frogs also loved the pond. The one bigger frog decided to make it his mission to harass our black lab Zeek. Anytime Zeek walked near the pond he would try to jump at him. That frog scared Zeek bad. Zeek would try to chase the frog but he never caught him. It was funny to watch. Thanks for the awesome video. Promise land state park was a favorite spot to camp at years ago. You know the hairy man has been spotted in the area. Stay safe Cliff.

It's really awesome - all the thoughtful information you give in the beginning of the trail and along the way. I appreciate the number of miles and hours of the trail and hike that you are thoughtful to share with us and the trail signs, and all the various sightings and stories you share and the care of where to park, etc... you do a thorough and careful video for us, every time. Thank you! I think your videos will go into the State archives one day and be shared in schools. ❤️🙂👍 This is an awesome thing you're doing over the years. Really awesome job too.

Great video as always, the lake looked so very calm and beautiful. FYI as far as I've ever heard it, Tobyhanna is usually pronounced so that the first "a" sounds like the "a" in "hand." but both pronunciations could be right for all I know.

Lovely! We’re closer to Beltzville Lake but we’d love to branch out in our kayaking. What’s the infrastructure like at Gouldsboro and/or Tobyhanna? Permits required or you just launch and paddle?
