Hello Jenna, so nice to see more about you this week.
If you move somewhere local, call your friends, colleagues and family.
Spend some beers, water and food like sausages, meat balls, a potato salad and bread for example and
i believe you will get a lot of helping hands for moving. Ask if someone has a bigger car or rent one for one day.

I moved recently. What I observed was:
Has the company a tracking method for all the boxes? I.e. do they supply labels to tag each box? Have they a list where the boxes are checked in and out? Or loose items being tagged? How do they handle e.g. pictures? Throw them into a box with no wrapping or come before the move and wrap them?
I made the mistake to have the same company move part of my stuff and get rid of the other prt. Since I could not be at every place it was impossible to check whether an item I designated to throw away or keep was handled correctly. There were 7 guys at the same time!
So if you pack yourself: Make a list what is in which box. Label all boxes! Have a count so you can check whether the rough number is correct. Mark the destination on the boxes (they usually have tick marks on professional boxes). Check the arriving and leaving times. The number of people at a specific time.

After watching this video we gave it a shot and we asked for a quote from Smoover. I had the worst first impression, so sorry but had to share. They didn’t even go through our moving items, were impersonal and shared a one-size-fits-all offer completely out of budget (3x times what we had in mind…), not considering details of our request. When we shared that it was overpriced for the amount of items we had, instead of just dropping it since they couldn’t handle our request, they just answered: “good luck with that”. I found it very rude and posh of them… well not an option. Good luck handling customers properly.

I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience with them! But it’s good to share these stories. I haven’t heard any negative stories yet - do you have the name of the employee? It’s always good to get too! That way the company knows about this too. ♥️

@@arnodobler1096 Danke Dir!

@@lifeingermany_ Thank you very much for the update. As long as you stay within Germany (besides some vacational trips) everything is fine. Otherwise we would have to sue you for heartbreaking your German community. Just kidding 🤣
