This is what happens to players with OVERUSE! You may get a couple of great seasons out of them but they cannot put the whole team on their shoulders!
Ridiculous. You pay them to use them, not to not use them.
Not to sound insensitive, but that is the game. The players are tools and are utilized to the fullest and then replaced as needed. They are paid handsomely for their job but it’s not a teams obligation to save or preserve their assets as age will take its toll, you get what you can and replace when needed.
Think of it as a saw blade. You’re not going to not make the cuts you need to “preserve” the blade, you get the job done and replace the blade when it wears out. All jobs are like this, the employees are assets and will get utilized to the fullest and replaced when needed.
Football careers are only a couple seasons typically lol
i have the same thing in both legs and i play pickleball... sometimes it just happens
People forget CMC was always injury prone. With the Panthers he couldnt stay on the field. But we saw how good he was and then he became a 49er and was able to last but its there and after this last injury it will always be there
Is this English?
Yeah that’s why I never draft him in fantasy. He can’t be counted on. As great as he is he just doesn’t play enough. I think last season was probably his best season where he played a lot of games.
CMC needs a 7 day water fast to reset his body. It will heal if he does that.
All players are injury prone. It's full contact football. The human body doesn't respond well to the amount of physical damage these young men put themselves through.
@@lbperlb not as much as CMC
I think some fans are forgetting that RBs have the shortest shelf life. Christian may have had a productive season last year but at 28 years old the decline can happen at any time even without injuries.
4 years on average
@@Franciscasierinot for RBs... 2.5 yrs
There are only 8 RBs in the entire NFL over age 30. Fullbacks and practice squad included.
A victim of too much stress on the body from such a young age
Agreed 100%, unfortunately they overused him to death 😢

Madden curse
@@NotOldYetGamingit’s real
The curse is real
He was injury prone before
I had achilles tendinitis after I ran my first (and only) marathon. It’s one of those injuries that are a real pain to deal with cause you can make it worse quicker than it can heal up. CMC is a freak much like AP so I could see him coming back this year, but if you have him in fantasy I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for him
Nothing like AP. AP had 7 solid years where he played the bulk of the games each season. 103 by the time he was 28. CMC by comparison has alrwady had 2 seasons that ended prematurely due to catastrophic injuries... and now an injury indicative of general breakdown. Oh and only 91 games thru age 28
Dad Shanahan is short. Dad McCaffrey is tall. Son Shanahan is tall. Son McCaffrey is short. Idk why I noticed this.

😂 and now I have! Lol
Prob bc they slept with eachother a wives so prob opposite kids are their real kids.
I’m just joking but that would been funny if it was true
It’s the Madden Curse bro smh I knew it as soon as they announced he was on it
U are correct 💯 that makes me think it's rigged lol maybe it is an evil curse
I been thinking about that for a little bit now
I don't believe in that it has not stopped mahomes
@@roemellobell it's going to come back to him just like it did to Brady

Have you ever watched Henry work out? He’s a beast. #Titanup
@jonathanstewart4800 u mean Raven up lol
@@CodeName_JJ oh you just don’t know the rollercoaster of emotions I went through. On the one hand, he is and will always be the KING, but on the other hand my hatred for the Ravens went back to the AFC Central days. I’ll admit that it has subsided and shifted to the rest of the AFC South now but for a while I really hated the fact he went there. I wish him, and by extension the Ravens, nothing but success now. DH deserves a ring.
@jonathanstewart4800 I felt bad that almost all of my Bronco vets are gone.. we basically got all Rookies now.. but it was necessary... we have been evading a rebuild for years.. at least SP knew it had to be done, swallowed his pride and got it done
@@CodeName_JJ As a Titan fan, believe me, I feel your pain lol
Push kids too far when they are young and itr will shorten their adult career. Seen time and again
You are right, they shouldn’t rush him back. While CMC immediate playing information may not be in jeopardy yet, the ongoing issues with Achilles tendonitis combined with his injury history are risks that could endanger the longevity of his career.
Madden curse at it finest 😢🙏🙏😭😭😤
Nope your wrong. Called being injury prone
My dad got him in 3 leagues and my brother has him in 2 leagues, but I have Jordan Mason in 1. They were salary cap drafts and I wasn’t going to spend that much on CMC and I’m glad I didnt
Dude... Should think about writing a blog about this .. nobody would read it

Once you have tendinitis it’s over. I developed elbow tendinitis and had to stop lifting heavy weights. No matter how much rest, it always come back once lifting heavy again
My calisthenics journey was done after tendinitis. My elbow was in so much pain I couldn't do one pull-up. It even caused depression.
@@Taylormademan900
Yeah, for a while there, I couldn’t do even one push-up.
No offense at all, but you dont have millions of dollars for the best peptides and stem cell therapy money can buy…
I had it even worse, then I discovered Dr. Sarno. Never came back. Bottom line: it’s your body’s reaction stress.
@@jessiewhite7783yeah Kobe spent all that money in Germany how did that work?
A lot of wear and tear during those Carolina days. The issue is athletes when their told the truth concerning their injury. They want to seek second opinions. Either CM was told he needs to sit for the remainder of the year or he needs surgery. The 49ers just need to shut him down.
Know your medical information: Any tendonitis is about 12 weeks for pain to improve. Takes 6 weeks to heal soft tissue and 3 months for scar remodeling.
He was injury prone in Carolina too
A lot of people forgot about his injury history with Carolina. He started having issues after putting up 1000 yards rushing and 1000 yards receiving in the same season. Look at other backs the season after they have 1500+ yards from scrimmage and you'll see they miss a lot of games the next season.
Achilles tendinitis sucks. I've been dealing with it for about a year now..
Every NFL player's career is in danger every time they take the field... it's the reason they get paid so much... The body takes abuse
They're on the field physically playing for about 10 minutes. And these players arent on the field the whole game so we'll say 5 mins a game they play maybe. Why should they get paid millions to play 5 minutes a game?
They’re paid so much because the nfl is a billion dollar entertainment industry also
@@donworryboudat you clearly don't watch the game...or you would have realized how stupid that statement is... Back ups play more than 5 mins...
@@seanhybrid2396 you obviously don't know what you're talking about. The ball is in play for an average of 11 minutes in a game. Go do some research kid.
@@donworryboudat when is the last time you watch an NFL game?
I’m in my mid 40s. I started playing flag football as a kid and played through Junior High. I had tendinitis in both of my ankles pretty much the entire time. I can remember the pain until this day. It can be no joke.
Further evidence that football players are big softies
Very thoughtful and detailed. Thank you.
Payton Manning also went to Germany for neck surgery. Extended his career. American Doctors are not allowed to do what the German Doctors did for him. Last I heard from him in an interview he has no feeling in his right hand finger tips.
This reminds me of Robert Griffin III, who despite being hurt, was allowed to start a playoff game, even though he was hurt, got hurt worse, and it effectively ended his career. Give McCaffery the time he needs to heal, and hope he can come back healthier next year. But also be ready to draft at least one RB next year.
Damn! I have been dealing with bilateral achilles Tendinopathy, I can tell you straight up this is because the body is not recovered and is taking too much stress that it is not ready for. Thankfully as a pretty competent PT I have now progressed myself back to jumping and sprinting comfortably, still not 100% but it took months (3-4) to get to this point. CMC can definitely recover but it definitely is a process that requires very specific time sensitive milestones and recovery to get back to functional levels. Prayers up and wishing him a full recovery.
The 49ers downfall should be a historical document
Bilateral superbowl losses
Could say the same for the Cowboys 😂😂😂
It’s not even nine months since the Super Bowl that is a bit too much
Down year? Yes. Downfall? No. Downfall is when there’s a systemic issue. Purdy is the only player that is unreplaceable and would cause the Niners to have a lost season. The Niners will need lots of luck to make it back to the conference title game. The NFL has figured out how to stop the Shanahan offense.
What are you talking about? Purdy is once again playing like a top 5 QB and they are poised to win the division and obviously make a run in the playoffs. CMC is the reason they lost the Superbowl. They don't need him to win football games. Stop listening to pundits.
The madden 25 cover curse lives on. Cmc was just late into the shine. F NC that injury is day by day and it truly is a shot in the dark you really don't know how your doing at all. Scary. Best wishes cmc. Go 9erss
must be a slow news day
Yet the 49ers said he was a game time decision in week 1 😂
If it’s tendinitis, they need to be careful. Just rest him, make sure he’s 100%, give him proper treatment. Jordan mason is ballin right now, so it’s not like they’re in dire need of cmc rn. If I’m the miners GM, I’d shut him down for the rest of the season, to ensure proper protocol is followed.
I rode the Gurley & Goff stack to my 3rd Fantasy Football Championship in 2017
Was it for money or imaginary glory? I haven't bet money on anything yet, my luck level isn't where I want it to be.
What's good Mike
McCaffrey's frame was never gonna hold up. That was always the risk in acquiring him.
The fact he was injury prone and people are upset they drafted him first in their draft is wild
The madden curse is real
Arthritis and tendonitis are de habilitating its a pain issue. But its not constant it only happens during certain movements. And can be excruciating thus making your body adjust which in turn alters your performance
I’ve had this exact issue and I didn’t think there was ever going to be light at the end of the tunnel. When I started to feel some recovery it was short lived and the pain ramped back up, I could do physical exercises and with warmed up Achilles tendons the pain went way down but the next morning, holy shit, it was rough taking a step. I went all the way to U of M specialist and put me through a super strict rehab that lasted 7-8 months and then poof it was gone. U of M specialist had ideas but no exact reasoning and it could come back or never come back at all, and yes months and months of rest was one of the main reasons I made a full recovery.
I’ve had achilles tendinitis and rest is the only thing that works and on top of that, it will 100% come back eventually if overuse occurs, which is almost unavoidable if you train and compete as intensely as NFL players do
CMC will be back, but this will most definitely mean that his days in the league are numbered. It’s that kind of injury
I draft McCaffery 1st overall. Only week ive lost so far is week one due to him not being announced out till an hour prior. I picked Jordan Mason up in both my Leagues and I'm super happy I did lol
Anyone who drafted without handcuffing his backup would've been a stupid move
am i an asshole for trading mason to my best friend for bijan? schefter just said CMC possibly back week 7
@@tannerw5011 Honestl I dont see him back till like 9-10 MAYBE. They've been hiding information pertaining to his injury.
Dont blink it wastes to much energy. Dont breathe either.
I've seen many players, especially rb's, that just fall off a cliff after having MVP type seasons. Shaun Alexander and Marshall Faulk are 2 players that were done not long after winning MVP's.
As a 49ers fan, ive come to accept that last year was probably CMCs last good year in the nfl and am fully prepared to have Jordan Mason as the RB1 from here on out
The Madden Curse Returns!!!!!💥💥💥
He’ll be fine - his dad sounds pretty levelheaded and I’m sure there is a group of medical handlers to consult. He’s got the best care of money can buy. Hope for a speedy recovery.
Yeah, it's totally normal to give your kids IV's on the regular to prevent cramping. Lots of parents do that. No biggie.
C Mac has nothing to prove
He's one of the great all purpose backs .He should enjoy his millions with family and protect his health
Good luck C Mac
We love ya !
CMC is pissed that the 49ers didn’t draft Luke!!! He’s done with SF
Running backs don't last long. They take a beating and can be replaced cheaper in the draft.
Even worse is, with tendinitis, you can feel decent one day and struggle to walk on the next.
If it rains, it’s back, if it’s cold, it’s back.
The mind can push the body, but the body will demand payment later.
My lady was one that chose McCaffery first, against my advice.
That Madden cover curse is real.
Then you should have picked mahomes because it doesn't work on him
Love your video Mike and keep up the great work you are awesome
The madden curse is back baby!!!
Your best post ever. Nice work.
CMC was missing games in Carolina. It’s nothing new he’s been injury prone
Bro, i love your vids. I know your a LA lover, so you might hate on us but, your title almost made me go crazy. I dont watch sports news during the week untill basketball season, so this got my trippin lol.
My picks this weekend cin buf and 9ers. The last horse I bet on is still running ffs
The Underdog CMC 0.5 yards game one offer was shady. Lots of creators were plugging that "free bet". Glad I don't gamble.
My dad played against CMC and even has a picture with him in high school
so what
Bro love the content 👌💯
There’s the CMC video
German scientist and doctors ......
Everyone was hating on Carolina for trading him …
When you injury comes under yearly … it’s time to cut ..
They got nothing for him. Dude had an MVP year last year. That alone is worth more than a second rounder.
@@renaldoawes2210was about to say the same thing. It's not like Carolina sold high.
@@renaldoawes2210 when you are constantly injured you are worth peanuts

This video is an exaggeration as always. Mccaffrey is already back running
Tendonitis is no joke. Minor cases take 3 to 6 weeks. Major cases take 3 to 6 months, if not longer. Untreated can cause chronic, degenerated, painful, and weakened tendons, which can take years to recover from. Relative rest with slow, arduous, and seemingly tedious progressive strengthening is usually the only treatment. Best of luck to him.
Don’t know if he’ll be ok or not. But the entire Germany thing. If you study health care around the world. Ours is shit compared to every other non 3rd world country. It’s sad we have to have people leave the country for the best possible medicine, not because our doctors aren’t smart enough. But because our government doesn’t want Americans to be the healthiest they can be. Gotta love that medical industrial complex where they need that money. Good stuff. Gotta love the new age America we live in
Keep in mind… medicine is subsidized by the govt anyway and yet the govt still loves to pull some “oh no, we need the dollars” BS. This government is DOGSHIT! F*ck this country man.
Come to the West Coast! If not for Indian doctors and Filipino nurses, I'd be dead now!
I picked up Jordan Mason after week 1. Waiver claim baby.
So, you could probably just start watching this at about 9:28. Well done Mike, kept the build-up to less than 10 mins this time.
I wish him all the best! In football or/and out. Seems like a fine man and I know he is a great competitor! Rest, rest, and more rest....heal up and that passion will still desire to bust a move~
Tendinitis doesn’t take long to heal though…I’ve had it twice..
The madden curse got its next victim
The madden curse is back
The fkin madden curse got to bro
A good o-line can make a good running back look great. Don't need to rush CMC back. Besides, his re-intro will keep defenses guessing which RB they need to scheme for late in the season or playoffs.

The madden curse lives 😱😱😱😱
That’s crazy
Its the madden curse
My Team. Trust me we are on pins and needles...
Damn that Olivia Culpo pic is hard to look at. What happened she was legendary during her pageant days
Wasting away with a thousand yards receiving & thousand yards rushing in the say yr
I picked CMC, but also grabbed Mason! Phew.
Hopefully they can ease him back into playing by week 9 or so. They can use Mason and Cmc like the Detroit Lions do for Montgomery and Gibbs
Did the Madden curse strike again???
the madden curse is fucking real bro
PRP is what I was going to say. It’s approved here it’s just not covered by insurance. It’s maybe 300-500, nothing for CMC. No need to go to Germany, Mayo does it.
As a Cowboy fan, why have we never been able to stop the run? Seeing the Todd Gurley game hurt me. 😅
The moment that EA put him on the cover he should have called called his agent and said no that curse is real!!!
49er fan here (tried & true since '82). All I got to say is F*CK THOSE FANTASY FOOTBALLERS! If we can win behind Purdy's arm and Mason's legs, then let C-Mac rest.
I actually have Christian and his back up. Just like I drafted AR5 with Flacco, glad I did too..💯
Yeah, if he come back before he's ready.
Reminds me of todd gurley
I drafted him in one league... but I also drafted Kamara, Archane, Harris (Pitts).... Im 3-1... I always overload on RBs just in case.
CMC had a very good career already, wouldn’t be surprised if his body is starting to break down. Sucks how amazing RBs career don’t last
Took CMC first in my draft. did get Jordan off of waivers. nobody else wanted him. crazy because he's been real good for me.
Gotta have a stripper party to yo intro when you hit a mil

Bummer! Hopefully, he comes back good as new. He's an amazing athlete!
cover curse is back and no one is talking about it
I received my bachelor’s of science in athletic training and sports medicine. Achilles tendinitis is a chronic and nagging injury. But it should not be a 6 month recovery time, especially with the type of treatment he can receive. Having it in both legs though will increase recovery time
The thing about being a CMC owner is that since the pre season there would be good news followed a couple hours later by bad news, you never knew what to do so yea not many of us got mason
Well, Mike. I hope you have a better memory than I do I saw a video. Can't remember what team it was playing this year in the n. F. L.
Fourth down. And they're going to kick a field goal which they missed. But lucky for them, some moron on the defensive side line. Celebrated early to the miss field goal and went on to the field, which course they were penalized, giving the offense a first down. What game was that and who was the player that screwed up? I appreciate if you could answer my question. It has been driving me crazy all week.
