    Thanks for pointing out the lack of corner protection on the Mosiso cases. I have one on my new MBP - black case on space black - so I hadn't noticed the bare areas. I'll be replacing it with a new case immediately.

    What do you think of the extra weight on the hinges? Over the years it could cause that when you open the lid, it doesn’t stay in place.

    • @seifbuys
      @seifbuys  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good point Marcos! I didn't think of that myself but can't say I've read or heard of anyone having such issues. The additional weight seems super negligible as these cases are really light (especially the top piece that goes on the lid), and especially considering how well crafted the hinges on these macbooks are. Also, it's not like the weight is being born on the hinge from a physics standpoint when the macbook is open and in use at the typical 90 degree angle .. it would only be felt when in a transitory state (opening or closing). That's my 2 cents on your point at least!

    From my experience with MacBook hard cases- those corner pieces that you like to see provide higher corner coverage are VERY prone to breaking, especially if you keep your case in a bag. That little piece of plastic is a real weak point, maybe why some brands keep it lower. A lot of these design choices come with tradeoffs and/or have been chosen due to user feedback.

      Hi Vinayak, while I can't say with absolute certainty, I don't believe any of these cases will loosen the macbooks hinge over time, no. I mean It's more likely that your macbook will get damaged without a case than the hinge loosening up with a case.

The PTU cases that are not clear are much more durable but they eventually crack also in the corners. I don’t think I used any of the ones you featured on the vid.
