@@agiliteka yeah it was usually used pre and early war when AT rifles still had some use and considering the weight and recoil of one it makes sense they'd put it in a bren gun carrier, plus its armoured to withstand the machine guns on a panzer 1 or squad based mg
it is a boys AT rifle, i should know as i'm sat in the drivers seat :p carriers did carry Boys AT rifles alongside Bren Lmgs and rifles for the crw, the idea was actually to use the carrier as transport you'd approach the target the AT crew would dismount and engage while the carrier withdrawals but it's not ideal for a swift getaway so the AT rifle was sat in the front it had 2 leather straps to secure it during transport and the bipod was to be stored under the wireless battery box in the back
@@NottsAndDerbyLHG39-45 that makes a lot of sense really I couldn't imagine having to be the poor bastard that has to carry around a rifle like that, being able to drive it most of the way must've been quite the relief.
Boys AT Rifle on a Universal Carrier is something I have never thought about and would like to know more on
Is that a boys AT rifle instead of a bren gun?
was gonna say, that muzzle brake looks awfully familiar. did the Bren Gun Carriers get used like this in WWII? Like an L3/33 CC
