This is a life saver - I bought the Inlet Air Water Jet filter and saw all these new valves and I was flummoxed and thought there I needed a different pool - but this will sort it thanks
Thanks so much for this video, I got earlier this year a Coleman power steel 16x10 pool. Just got a Intex snad and salt water filter system. And of course they do not work together. Been looking into adaptors and all, but wanted to use all Intex inlets and outlets. I will give a update in a few weeks when my parts come in.
I was so careful, but mine leaks like a sieve around the newly cut holes. I’m going to try to patch over the holes completely and try again. Considering buying additional gaskets so I can have one on the inside and one on the outside. If the patches don’t work, I’m guessing the only option will be replacement.
I inherited a 12×24 pool with two outlet ports and only one inlet. In the off-season I'm gonna buy new valve's and get rid of our split system. Gonna send one outlet hose to the existing sand filter and thesecond outlet to a cartridge filter or a second sand filter I may install. I would like to cut a whole second return valve but it being a larger rectangular pool I'm thinking about buying two large patches, using your gasket trace technique to cut holes in matching patches. Then stick both patches on the inside and outside of the pool to brace the pool lining before I cut a hole in the pool. I only wanna take this precaution on ours because it's 8,400 gallons and the existing return port is actually done the same way by the manufacturer intex.
Quick question...on the return valve it has an eyeball jet....is your just loose with no way to tighten?. I've just got mine and waiting for the pipes to come.
I cannot find this part on intex's Amazon page. The part you have seems to be discontinued, and I'm not sure what I am supposed to do for the inside inlets.... there are only the outside valves :-(

Quick update for anyone else doing this, after watching this video and despite my initial hesitation to cut into the liner, this worked like a charm. I used the same utility knife seen in the video, got it from Home Depot, slices through like butter so definitely go SLOW! My valve stem piece has a vacuum tube coming out the top, just make sure to unscrew that first if yours does as well. Then tighten the nut on the outside as much as you can, let it sit for a few in the sun and maybe run some water over it, then you'll be and to get another quarter to half turn. Had a small dripping leak at first but that last quarter or so turn of the nut resolved it completely. Thanks again!

The film shows how to upgrade from 32 mm to 38 mm. This is done if you wish and access the Intex 38 mm program with larger hoses and larger sand filter pump.
Do you know the size of the inlet? I have a bestway sandfilter and I was wondering if this would work with it. I believe my connection hose is 2 1/4 inches.

Is there is specific Reason why you've cut the holes while the pool was already partially filled with water? If I cut the hose while the pool is still empty and folded is there a risk that the hose will stretch once the water will be in?
Did you use the inlet nozzle (valve with air black cap from start of video) as one of the outlet nozzles? I'm thinking about doing the second outlet using the inlet nozzle with the black cap on and wondering if you had any issues with air getting in the line?
No I use the black hood on the inlet. The black hood is to be able to supply oxygen to your pool. Examples you see in the video are the exit valve (Where the skimmer is mounted)
Yes you can. It is actually best to make the hole when there is water in the pool as the liner is tight. Adjust the water level below where the hole is to be made.
Hi, recently did this upgrade to my pool after watching this video. Cheers. Wondered tho if yours slightly leak at the bottom as both mine are and they are both screwed in as tight as possible
What pool do you have? Is your pool cloth 100% straight and tight? Did you put the gasket inside? Mine and others are not leaking after upgrading, you are the first to mention it!
@@MortenWork oops, just seen this as I was looking for this video to remind me how to do it again as I just bought a replacement pool. Both pools are bestway steel pro max btw.
I am having the same issue this summer. I did this upgrade last summer and did not experience the leak but this time i did. wondering where I went wrong...maybe i put Vaseline on the black ring last year and this year i did not? I only put Vaseline on the threading. it's not a crazy leak but definitely a consistent dribbling from the bottom of the twist ring. I have it tightened as tight as it goes but still dribbling. do you use vaseline?

Did you use the inlet nozzle (valve with air black cap from start of video) as one of the outlet nozzles? I'm thinking about doing the second outlet using the inlet nozzle with the black cap on and wondering if you had any issues with air getting in the line?
No I use the black hood on the inlet. The black hood is to be able to supply oxygen to your pool. Examples you see in the video are the exit valve (Where the skimmer is mounted)
Hi can I make the hole with water on the pool? Of course lower that the hole
Yes you can. It is actually best to make the hole when there is water in the pool as the liner is tight. Adjust the water level below where the hole is to be made.
Did you build the fence around your pool?
Yes I have 😀 Do you like it 😃
Morten Work yes. I do. Hides the ugly vinyl. How did you do it ? Do you have a video?
@@ashaypatel6563 yes I have a video. But I have not uploadet jet. I will do it later 😃
I have been trying to find this set for months and finally found the kit at Lowes...incase anyone else out there is looking for it.
Great video!
What was the part number for these 1.5” valve upgrades?
See the description for part number. :)
Mine was slightly leaking from the bottom. I got a pair of channel locks to tighten the ring and no leaks since. Hope this helps.
@@MortenWork oops, just seen this as I was looking for this video to remind me how to do it again as I just bought a replacement pool. Both pools are bestway steel pro max btw.
@@orlandoanariba2836 channel locks?
I am having the same issue this summer. I did this upgrade last summer and did not experience the leak but this time i did. wondering where I went wrong...maybe i put Vaseline on the black ring last year and this year i did not? I only put Vaseline on the threading. it's not a crazy leak but definitely a consistent dribbling from the bottom of the twist ring. I have it tightened as tight as it goes but still dribbling. do you use vaseline?
You lost me at “cut holes in your liner”. But you executed it very well. Just not doing it here. 🤣
Come on ... you just have to have a safe hand ;)
@@MortenWork Agree! But the look of fear on my husband’s face was hilarious. So I lowered the water level and cut the hole while he was at work. Still hasn’t noticed we now have a new & improved Return! 😂
What’s part #
See the description
We need a set of exactly what you showed. What is the exact part number or name?
The figures under two parts number 26004 or 26005. It may be worth researching prices as they vary greatly on the internet.
@@MortenWork I'm not so sure if that is right. Because everywhere I've searched only has basically half of the kit your showing.. not even ebay. Where did you get yours from?
What is the size of your pool? I'm asking because mines is the smallest and I don't know if I should try this out.
My pool size is 457x122 cm :)
Hi, do you do this only for the Suction B holes or also output Hole A?
Both 👍
@@MortenWork thank you can you share link?
@@MortenWork Where do you order those?
@@Criaderopelagio801-orem-utah on eBay
What is the kit product number? Or link please.
Please see the description. There you will find part number.
What size hose did you hook to the plunger valve?
Intex have to size hose 32 and 38 mm. Here I use 38mm hose.
I’d recommend putting Vaseline all over the rubber part so it doesn’t crack..
Can u help me
What can I help you with if possible?
Gonna go out cut my pool....won't lie I'm afraid 😨
Do it quietly and it will work.
These valves are kool n all but only of you are running 1 1/4 system. They really restrict the flow.
Not worth the $ to have the same flow rate
