JOYING Newest 9 Inch Car Stereo Android 10.0 Car Auto Radio for Honda Civic 2016-2021 Support Right Lane Cam, Carplay, Android Auto, Subwoofer Output, SWC a.co/d/da67Ner
Hello, love your video. I am looking to see if you can help me with something as I am struggling a bit. I have a 2016 Honda Civic LX just like yours, and I followed your instructions closely, even re-watching your videos multiple times. However, I can’t seem to get the backup camera or the steering wheel controls to work. Do you have any thoughts on what might be going wrong? Any tips to help me troubleshoot this? From my understanding, I wouldn’t need any special adapter to get them to work-am I missing something?
A couple things to check. 1st off, did you make sure the connections were secure? I mean they have to be locked tight. If all wires are properly connected, my second piece of advice would be to make sure your CarPlay Unit settings are set right. At 9:04, I included the settings you’ll want to set up for your vehicle. I believe that has something to do with either backup camera issues or steering controls. Keep me updated, hope this helped!
@@IvyBuilt Thank you so much for getting back to me! I missed the part about the settings at the 9-minute mark because I kept focusing on the connections. I double-checked everything, and I’m confident I connected everything securely. However, my factory code seems a bit different from yours. When selecting my vehicle, it was listed under "Simple" and then Honda Civic, whereas I believe yours was listed under something with "X." I’m still having issues with the steering wheel controls and backup camera. Just to be sure, I’ve reordered another unit from Amazon, which should arrive today, but I may not be able to test it until tomorrow. I'll keep you posted on how it goes! Thanks again for your help, and I’ll let you know if I run into any further issues or if I need more advice for troubleshooting.
Does your civic have the lane assist camera in the right mirror? If so, is the new radio able to display the camera view when turning on the right blinker? And, what brand stereo did you install?
@@Akg6341 you don’t have to, but it can be recommended. technically, there is no power running through the radio when the car is off. but it’s always better to be safe than sorry
@@IvyBuilt oh ok so no problem with fuses or dash lights after you installed it? I don’t wana mess it up trying this for the first time, thanks for the help
My Joying came with a mic. I ran both the mic and the gps antenna up the driver's side A pillar and put the mic in the location where the factory mic was and put the gps antenna on the underside of the roof. I was getting random gps dropouts and I wanted a factory look to my hands free.
Sound quality is the same as stock, but I’ve also installed new speakers in my car in the past. Yes! The screen dims and brightens automatically with your headlights. On auto, when it gets dark your CarPlay will to.
@@IvyBuilt That's the information display, which shows things like how many days or miles are left to the next oil change. Or when to change transmission fluid, brake fluid or air filter etc.
I have a pilot lx I’m gonna try to fix my camera. I don’t think I connected that part. When I i stalled mine it worked fine radio and everything except camera. But then it stopped I couldn’t push anything it was just on but none of the bottoms worked. I wonder of if I have to factory set it like you did
It came included on a separate cheaper carplay unit. It sounds really bad, windy, cut off. Unless placed extremely close to my voice, it’s no good and I wouldn’t recommend it. Currently looking for a better mic elsewhere, I’ll keep you updated.
@@alexismartinez7835 Only the extra usb port. It’s bluetooth wireless so you don’t really need to worry about connecting it manually. Or find a permanent spot to adhere the extra port for more accessibility.

Does it come with the backup camera
@@keishunnajhare No, if you have a 10th gen civic your car should already have a backup camera though. The radio connects to your oem cam

Yes, doesn’t overheat though.
Loved your Amazon review ❤
Lmao I have scouring the internet for info on this thank u so much
Thanks marco! Good luck on the install :)
How did this hold up ? Did it last
how does the screen behave in hot weather? I have the same audio head and in the heat the screen presses itself, turns off or shows artifacts
I am unable to connect car play with my iPhone 15. Do you have any suggestions? Would appreciate.
what do you mean by dont connect to bluetooth while using carplay ?
Which one do I buy with or without factory amplifier 😭
if you have the original stereo that looks like hers, you buy the one without amplifier
Why does it say android can u still connect with iPhone?
