As someone who has lived for many years with the daily or nearly daily soft drink/energy drink/take away food habit, I think you just need to take more time to learn to cook things you actually enjoy, and then enforcing a mental discipline to make those things instead of ordering fast food. Be honest with yourself, is it really just a binary of enjoy or not enjoy, or is it that fast food is much easier/less effort and we as humans always typically reach for the easy options unless specifically disciplining ourselves to do otherwise. Learning to take joy in cooking is a valuable trait, as fast food will eventually get boring, one way or another. Also since you've found yourself in a relationship, this is honestly the perfect time to expand your knowledge on this subject and likely mature your consumption habits a bit as a result. I don't think you lack interest or capability to cook more often, just the discipline to try as a result of money making it easy to take the easy choice every time (and trust me, i've been there, and being of similar age to you, all i'll say is that its worth forcing yourself to do better, because you mightn't feel it now, but you will begin to in your late 30's/40's/50's and beyond.) Your gut will begin to detest eating like a teenager, its only a matter of time, better to get ahead of it now and develop the skills you need to be an adult who can properly take care of themselves in this regard. You would also be surprised how much money you'd save by doing this in a competent way. Then you can take that saved money and do cute things with your gf/go to more fancy dinners etc. Fastfood is wasteful and designed to part fools with their money, paying $40+ for like 1 maccas meal + nuggets + delivery + 'service fee' via ubereats... I could cook myself like 10 days of pasta sauce for that amount of money (cooking new pasta with it each time time i heat up sauce), and that pasta sauce would be a more satisfying and enjoyable meal than the maccas. Just something to think about.
Matto you are definitely the realest Streamer/ TH-camr that I know. I absolutely love your Videos and I got my fiancée into watching you too! Glad to have found your channel.
I think you are not very self reflective about your addiction. It's typical that addicts have managed to quit for periods of time in the past and therefore falsely believe they are in control and "could quit at any moment, they'd just prefer not to right now".

The hardest speedrun is The Orignal Super Mario Bros. Niftski (WR Holder) has grinded that game for thousands of hours and the record hasn't moved a single frame
I feel like with the what game is hardest question, it depends on how you're defining the difficulty. For example, Super Mario 64 16 star is one of the most popular speed game categories in the world. It is extremely hard to get a time that is close to the top, but it's not an insanely hard speedrun to actually do. The tricks are relatively simple and easy, outside of a couple, but there are loads of people who've mastered the tricks, so getting a competitive time is really hard. But, there are games where the speedrun is like 12+ hours long, and I'd argue that is significantly harder to maintain that high level of play and energy for that long
on my end i drink a zero sugar zero calorie monster every day is this bad for me yes is it better then what i used to do oh hell yes * i used to drink a normal Monster every day yea talking 210 calories 55 grams of sugar every day just from monster per week that was 1,470 Calories and 385 Grams of Sugar just from F****** Monster for reference the recommended weekly sugar intake is 210 grams or about 30 a day so literally every day i was violating that recommendation JUST FROM THE MONSTER no wonder i was 219 pounds now I'm in the 150 range feeling so much better
1 individual getting through trauma means that this persons individual circumstances allowed them to and nothing else. also when you don't know politics then labels are useless, but that doesn't say anything abot the labels and more about the ones not understanding them. if you just casually throw on a set of ideas without giving them much thought and reading up on them then there's no need to apply a label other than uninterested.

I started making my own healthier version of pizza it has lower calories more protein and tastes good. Matt I understand where you are coming from but you could always make the food you enjoy healthy for you
I hate this take. You cant make pizza healthy and it still be pizza. Its like those people who say just drink diet coke if you cant drink regulsr soda. Diet coke is trash it isnt even close to being the same. Making healthier versions of junk food doesnt work. It tastes nothing like the original
@TheLastApostle what you consider healthy is entirely dependent on what you believe is the criteria for a food to be healthy. Of course there is objectivity in nutrition, but you can't determine that every single food is healthy or unhealthy. Homemade pizza that uses more nutritional ingredients and less health harmful ingredients is going to be healthier. If you have it once in a while, it isn't really harming your health to any notable degree.
@TheLastApostle It’s something you have to sacrifice in an addiction. Smokers will cut down on smoking with vaping, vaping is not good for you in the slightest but it’s a lot healthier than smoking. I used to consume one soft drink a day, this was very unhealthy for me, now I am down to one soft drink every 2-3 weeks. Which is much better. One of the ways I did this was by switching to the crappier diet sodas, because drinking that as a substitute made me realize how mid soda was in general (especially Coke products, I don’t know how I was ever hooked on that stuff) and how great just normal water tasted. You make sacrifices when quitting an addiction, it’s how you get off
