I can understand the story with the leopard, sometimes I feel the sacredness of the moment too ! And the character of Sean Penn is like this semi-mystical weird freelance travel photographer. It absolutely makes sense and fits into the story. Into the story of what is important and what is not. BUT !!! There is a much more interesting thing ! He uses a "G" lens on a Nikon F3. They just made a combination of the props they could get their hands on, but it doesn't make sense. With this combination it is impossible to control the aperture.
@@jeffreysproule These lenses only communicate electronically with the camera. He would be able to shoot with an AF-D lens, since there is a mechanical transmission of the aperture value, but not "G". Interestingly, Nikons, however, retained backward compatibility, at least with some cameras. On the D850, you can use an AI or Ai-s manual focus lens without contacts at all, and the camera will be able to close the aperture to the desired value and correctly measure the exposure. We have everything different here on Canon. Complete incompatibility with the mechanical past and complete compatibility with the entire EF system. The first EF lenses of 1987 are not fundamentally different in terms of control... even from RF lenses.
That's very interesting, I wonder why they opted not for backwards compatibility. Sounds like you need to make a youtube channel, you seem very knowledgeable on this subject.
@@jeffreysproule This is the basic knowledge of Nikon science 😁. It's on Wikipedia. As for Canons, it is absolutely the right decision to start new mount from scratch and make the camera and lens сommunicate fully electronically. This is a prophetic decision that made life easier for customers and Canon itself, as they did not have to upgrade lenses just for the sake of the motor, as happened with Nikon when they realized that the motor in the lens is the better solution. All other manufacturers gradually came to this from a screwdriver and mechanical diaphragm, and because of this, not only did they have compatibility issues on SLR mounts, but they now have compatibility issues with older lenses on their new mirrorless systems: Sony will require an expensive adapter with a screwdriver to make autofocus work on old "A" mount lenses. And there are limitations - tracking autofocus will not work in video. And Nikon didn't even bother with such an adapter - You won't have autofocus on screwdriver lenses, period. Thank you, I have a TH-cam channel. And it's in a completely different language and about a completely different topic.🙃
Something different, enjoyed it. If a film camera was smashed the exposed film would be ruined unless it had been rewound into the canister.
Thanks so much for watching! I also should have been clearer for that because, yes, it will be ruined if it wasn't wound back. 😅
The 90's style of slr usually shoot and rewind into the canister. Handy if you accidentally open the back.
Enjoyed this mate, well done 👍
Thanks so much for watching, I appreciate it 🙏

I get it aswell, also I didn't know what about the G lense. That's awesome! I thought it looked kind of odd 🤔😅 thanks for watching!

A Million Ways to Die in the West is the best for showing a camera in use back then🤣🤣
You need to take pictures more dramatically😁
Lmfao, maybe one day I'll use that camera and accidentally set myself on fire 🔥 😅 Thanks for watching Age!
@@jeffreysproule that will get lots of views!
Next you'll be saying the shark in jaws wasn't real...
I mean these are movies, who cares?!😅
It's a fun video bud chill 😎
@@royfr8136 Are you trying to say they didn't use real sharks in Jaws???
You know the people filming it, by definition, know, right? It's done on purpose, for fun.
Yeah, but it's still fun to react to it. No harm in poking fun.
Fun vid. More like this, please!
Awesome, thanks so much! I'm going to get thinking about more ideas 💡
"The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" was so dumb but trying to seem to be smart.
Right?! I love the movie but that part was annoying 😅
