The War Romance of the Salvation Army by Grace Livingston Hill is a non-fiction title that tells this wonderful story. Hill's figure of how many Salvationists were involved is much higher than 250. A fascinating read.
It’s such a shame the the Salvation Army is known now as an intolerant organization, instead of one of peace, love, and tolerance. Hopefully one day they can return to these things.
They have never stopped being an organization of service to those in need. One person's comments does not reflect an entire organization. I have volunteered with them for nearly 10 years and I have yet to see a more giving organization.
My grandpa remembered the doughnut girls from his WWI service and always spoke well of them.
Thank you for the video telling history of Donut Girls / Ladies , their dedicated service should be appreciated and recorded for history . 💐❤️👍
This was such a lovely video. I loved all of the old clips. Thank you for sharing.
This is good ole American apple pie & baseball version overseas. Great video of history.

What about the Men? They were in on it too. Somebody had to drive the trucks.
