Great cover... but in the solo all make the same error in the minute 2:05.... This is not a complete scale.....but some fragments.....Chuck rarely used complete scales....
Thanks mate. You know what, his style was so unique and so chaotic that I just have to be ok with never 100% nailing every single note he ever played. I would drive myself demented if I were to commit to such a task. Getting "close enough" will do me just fine.

It's really hard to find a cover for that song, I really like that unexpected tempo after the solos... In Human Form, Perennial Quest and A Moment Of Clarity might be a good choice for a cover in the future
I can't leave until every single Death song is covered! That definitely includes Out Of Touch... although it's pretty late in the order I want to do each song in, but I will definitely do it! And of course I'll do the other three 😉

On the surface it looks pretty basic. It's just a tube screamer into a "5150". I got the tone by using Bias Amp to amp match Machine Head's "Burn My Eyes". I'll post a video about it one of these days on my other channel, @TheBigBryanMurphy

And don't ever say you won't get to a certain level. I don't put in nearly the level of work that I could/should, but there's no point in setting an imaginary ceiling for yourself. But at the end of the day, the most important thing is that you enjoy it brother!

@@DeathCovers your solos are all in scale thats why when we play your tabs it makes us happy. No other tabs have a soul similar to what u make. I played all death tabs on ultimate none of them are as accurate as urs. we look forward to see more death covers. Especially the whole leprosy album.

Even worse is the quality of a lot of “official” tab books that they charge money for. The world deserves decent Death tabs!

I learned to play mostly with just 3 fingers because I stopped getting lessons beyond playing chords and picked up a shit ton of bad habits. As far as I remember, Chuck didn't have much (if any) professional training either, so probably the same story in his case! Whatever the case, don't see "having" to use your pinky as a problem. You're doing it the right way.
Thanks mate 🙏 It's a VERY tough song. If you're finding it tricky to keep up, slow it down to a comfortable speed and gradually build it up bit by bit until you're at the original tempo. Then speed it up more so you're playing it even faster than the original. After practicing that a few times, slowing back down to the original will feel way more comfortable. Oldest trick in the book!

@@DeathCovers It’s the Chuck model! I got it for just short of 2 grand on reverb. It’s in good condition, few scratches here and there, needs a knob, but it’s a total steal.

What pedal effect did u use in the beginning
It's a clean tone in Bias FX 2. First pedal in the chain is a compressor, then a chorus, then the amp which is most likely modelling a Vox AC30.
