ooooh... so suspenseful. ...so mysterious. ...so original. ...so creative. ...Just brimming with intrigue, curiosity, anticipation & excitement! Is THAT the reaction you were shooting for? Sorry, but your comment wasn't ANY of that! Nice Try Though :-) :-) :-) ...AHHH HAhahahaaaah!
I've seen more than enough covers of Death on the internet and I can say that these covers take the cake for sure. I can hear every single note you pick, even more, clear than the damn album. Absolutely fantastic man I'm in awe!!!! Awesome playing!
I was watching an old live show of this song and noticed Chuck doesn't play that chorus riff starting at the 7th fret, but on the 3rd string, if that makes sense. Just thought I'd share. 1:14
This guitar work sounds better than the recording. How did you pull this off. Incredible stuff. I look very similar to Chuck and hope to play him in a live action film of death one day. Mike Esola
You nailed it again! I really like your covers! Leprosy, Spiritual Healing and Human are allways albums that get me back to the 90s when I started listening metal. Keep them coming man 🤘😎
One of the best covers of this Chuck Schuldiner masterpiece that I've heard, Chuck would appreciate I think good luck to you buddy, Chuck legend🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸❤️❤️❤️
I dont know why, but for the life of me I can't get that intro descending riff down smoothly I'm not even sure I know all the exact frets to play correctly ....I keep trying but it's the ending in that beginning riff right before the final 2 power chords I have trouble getting down smoothly
It's poxy! I'm not even happy with how I did it in this video. For me it's the trills. Best advice I can give you is to slow it down and get the technique, then build it up slowly until you're at the original tempo.
@@DeathCovers yea I think that's part of my issue too is the trills and playing them as smoothly and fast as the song....your vid of that part sounds fine to me but I guess we're always our worst critics lol
To learn it I'll usually load the song into Ableton, grab the guitar and stick on headphones. The slower and more melodic parts are usually pretty easy to get right but the fast parts are pretty rough. I'll try to pick out the scale pattern and then just "shred" through it. Sometimes I can immediately pick up the general scale pattern being used in a particular part, other times I'll have to slow it down in Ableton and figure it out with the guitar through trial and error. Once I have the pattern down I just pick fast and move the fingers kind of randomly within that pattern. It usually sounds close enough to the original for me. It's not identical but I think it'd be impossible to try to mimic Chuck's style perfectly. It was pure chaos.
You’ve been putting out covers and tabs left and right. I know almost every Death song, but I always check your tabs to see if I’m playing everything correct. How long does it usually take you to tab out these songs?
14 down, only 51 left to go! Glad you're getting use out of the tabs! I still check other people's too just to see if they've tabbed something better. I'd say each tab probably takes me about an hour or two. I'll probably have known how to play the song for years already but I listen through everything again carefully to see if I notice any inaccuracies. Tabbing the riffs is usually quick and painless but the solos are the most time-consuming. My tabs rarely reflect the fast "shreddy" parts with total accuracy because even if I could tab it out that closely, barely anyone but the man himself would be able to play it. So I'll usually put in a rough sketch that follows the same scales and leave it up to the player to fit it into their own style (like I do).
I've tried to get the tabs but it never works...I would absolutely love to have even just some of the tabs to their songs....Like for example on Left to die I literally just realized I had been playing the guitar chorus wrong all this time and finally figured it out myself and now it sounds 10 times better than the original way I was playing it lol I tend to make things more difficult than they could be or actually are played
Ohh I see I just wasn't signed into my Google account now its available for me to see the PDF for the tabs this just made my day man thanks for all the extra hardwork that's really cool of you to let others see the tabs you worked on putting all together!! Especially knowing the way even "authentic" tab books that are horribly transcribed and are not accurate by ne means and to find even anything on Death is hard enough
That ending riff of the chorus that you play starting @ 1:13 I think you play it all on the Low E string but I find it easier to just play it like D string: 2nd fret A string: 1st fret Low E string: 3rd fret And then... A string: 2nd fret E string:1st fret to open E......I just think it feels easier to play it all down low on the fretboard close together....I'm not sure which way Chuck plays it live
@@danielblake1537 I just looked up Left to die live and I saw that he plays it the way you and I play it. Nothing wrong with playing it all on the E string though.
one of my favorite Chuck solos. I remember the first time I heard it, it sent chills down my spine.
The guitar tone is orgasmic, you did a great cover dude!
That initial scream always gives me goosebumps
The one later in the song too. Some of his best screams. I'd say the only one that beats it would be Within The Mind, around 1:06
Leprosy is a masterpiece.

What a wonderful comment. Thanks mate! Truly appreciate remarks like this!
Nailed it one more time mate!
Especially the pinch harmonics were on point and the solos of course too.
A pleasure to watch 👍🏼
2:57 when that temp picks up🤌🤌 and when it slows down again at 3:16 heavy as fuck🤘. Fire tone and fire video
That tone!! Awesome playing 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Superb cover. This song has one of the best drum tracks ever. Great fun to play this song live. Good stuff!
Great stuff as allways. This is so clean. You rock man, true inspiration to pick up my guitar and practice.
Keeping the inspiration going can be tough alright. Thanks for the kind words mate!
Nailed it brother! Awesome cover🤘🏼
This camera shacking at 2:47 was so accurate
Excellent cover
Excellent cover and beautiful Solar!

2:06 that riff can't be more death metal
Heaviest riff on the album IMO!
@@DeathCovers it’s this riff vs the chorus on pull the plug tbh 🤘

A riff so heavy it made an earthquake

hahaha yes! Totally unintentional effect of foot tapping but it worked out perfectly for the video.

"No preview availabe"? That's the .gp5 file. You need to download it and open it in Guitar Pro. If you don't have that, you can use the PDF version.
