I’m an artist and I was commissioned to design a tattoo for someone who’s going to a tattoo artist to actually get it done I’m wondering how I should go about the size. Should I draw it as big as she wants the tattoo or will her tattoo artist be able to resize it?
Hey man. Question do u have any videos on how to match ur thickness of ur lines to wat u want for ur tattoo . Sorry if it don’t mom did since didn’t no how to ask
This is a GREAT question! I actually made a video on how I go about matching line weights and needles to get the desired results. I feel this video maybe able to guide you in a better direction. Hi Daniel, and what about if i make a much smaller tattoo? Let's say 9 high and 4 wide...do i have to make a small canvas in this way? Or is there a way to draw it bigger and then downsize is somehow?
I am using an iPad Pro 12.9 inch if I am correct. I will link you below to the setup I am using. iPad Pro 12.9 Inch amzn.to/45Ijuz5 Apple Pencil 2nd Gen amzn.to/3WSHTOz Paperlike Screen Protector amzn.to/3WKPQp3
Thats a great question! It really depends on what you as the artist is wanting out of your setup. What style of tattoos will you be doing? Do you prefer coils or pen style tattoo machines?
@@ramirezbrian86 Ahh ok ok. I started with an around type of machine which was the CNC Q2. I feel with the CNC Q2 or Q1 you can not go wrong. We can adjust the stroke , we can line, and shade. Getting a kit really depends on factors that you as the artist want apart of your workflow. I recommend these machines because they are easy to assemble, disassemble, maintain, wrap up, break down. These variables I feel make it great for beginners and we can kind of establish some experience and build from there. I love it ! This printer has been working greta for me since I got it and I am grateful I am able to print stencils as I would not be able to draw in each and every stencil. When I used to do stencils by hand I was far too fatigued when it came time to apply the actual tattoo. My hands were hurting as if i had been tattooing for hours, so I quickly found out that I needed to create digitally and print.
I would recommend looking into it man! They can change the way we tattoo. I also feel that they can change our entire workflow when tattooing. I used to draw everything as well but it was too taxing on my hands before I did any actual tattooing.
Yes! That would be technically correct if I a correct. I think we would get similar if not the same results. I go this route because I am able to change certain aspects about screen recordings within procreate that I can not change selecting the A4 option.
As someone who’s already an illustrator but trying to move into the world of tattooing, this is something I hadn’t given much thought to before, very helpful!! #DanielYuck
