We just bought a mobile home, haven’t had it delivered yet but in the meantime I will be binge watching all your videos. I have a wall in the kitchen/ dinging room that I think shelves and buffet just like the one y’all just built will be perfect for the space. I don’t know where you get your ideas from but I love every room you have decorated. Still watching, but I removed the wall strips in a single wide years ago. I mudded and taped. I added compound to wall paint and used a texture roller to paint the walls. It looked great! A professional painter told me I did it wrong, but it held up and looked good for the 10 yrs I lived there 😅 Back to watching to see how your wall comes out now.

@@NoFarmFarmhouse I think the tape definitely helped. Adding dry wall mud to my paint dulled it a bit and made it look more like chalk paint, but I actually liked that better. Habitat for Humanity here in OIB often has rolls of dry wall tape for next to nothing in the back with the construction stuff- FYI, if y'all over this way. I think your wall came out good though!

I think it would look prettier with a large rectangular mirror over it though, rather than the shelves.
And it would make the room look larger.

We removed the strips from our mobile home as well. However, we put tape over a thin layer of compound then another thin layer of compound then sand. In our area the homes are textured so we sprayed the texture before we painted.
