A very young Michael Ball and the incredible Shirley Bassey sing this lovely duet. My heart is jumping for joy. Such beautiful music is reaching my ears.
Let me just say that doing a duet with Shirley Bassey can be quite a challenge because first of all Shirley has a vocal that belts and the singer has to have a voice that can keep up with her and second of all there HAS to be chemistry between Shirley and the other person doing the duet. Let me just say that Michael Ball did a fine job on this duet with Shirley. And Shirley tugging on Michael's coat was . . .gosh . . . she knows how to feel the lyrics of the song, doesn't she? Wow!
The song actually was written for a 1952 movie called "One Minute to Zero" long, long before "Sleepless in Seatle." Music by Victor Young, lyric by Edward Heyman.
They are both so great as they are singing this together, and they totally lose themselves in the song, and also a bit of flirting seems to be going on as well.
The thing with the lovely Michael's weight it goes up and down as he has now reached the big 6 who bell cards get his Cathy was saying where did I put the scissors bless him
In an interview he revealed how he would come home & cook rich meals for his family. Apparently he loved to cook. But I agree that he really looked good when he was slim.
Michael Ball's voice is nice, harmless and quite pleasant. But he is not nor has he ever been what you would call a great talent. Doing musicals and singing well enough to do lovely show tunes is one thing, but here, Shirley Bassey just shows what real singing is, and what real acting is. She is a great talent and performer.
Terry Stearman right?? I would like to hear the op attempt to belt out the final note in Love Changes Everything night after night. Michael is one of the greats.
Fabulous arrangement. Fabulous vocals and artists. The sound of falling in love.
The incomparable Dame Shirley Bassey & the handsome Michael Ball. They are UK's pride & joy.
She was very unique. Powerful voice that expressed her spirit. Beautiful ❤️
Both MAGNIFICENT VOICES , both younger, and BOTH singing a FABULOUS DUET!! MAGICAL!!
What a great performance by two iconic vocalists! 🥰👍

I like the chemistry between them. So lovely!
Really good their vocals blended really well love to them to do it again as Michael's vocal voice has really matured since they did this
I remember always skipping this duet every time it would appear but I just watched it . . . and I LOVE it!! An absolute beautiful and fantastic duet.

Beautiful. Thank you. I have seen both onstage many times, but I never knew they had performed together.

Duetto unico, strepitoso e soprattutto emozionante

DEar Michael:
Michael was so handsome when he was slim. Such a shame he got chubby.
In an interview he revealed how he would come home & cook rich meals for his family. Apparently he loved to cook. But I agree that he really looked good when he was slim.

Shirley Bassey, like Luciano Pavarotti vibrates my bones. One of a kind.
Are you serious,he is considered by most the best theatre performer ever, incredible voice and range, who in the hell do you consider better lol

Michael Ball looks like that guy who designed Diana's wedding dress here...and I have to say, a tad out of his depth.
