When it comes to fighting, staying alive is more important that getting kills, if you're in a bad spot don't try to kill everyone. Roll away to make the odds more in your favor.
I feel like you danced around the fact that once a piece of gear gets to 105, you can do a full reroll to raise its level by 1, giving you an avenue to get 110 gear. Currently this is the only way to get 110 gear aside from completing the nightmare challenges each week. So I'd recommend rolling a piece of gear up to 110, then rolling it to get 2 out of 3 of the things you want on it, then rerolling the third until you have what you want.
@@kassaken6521 if you do get a perfect roll prior to getting to 110, I can see it not being worth losing it just to go to 110, especially on a legendary.
Tip: BEST DPS/AOE Samurai build for nightmare mode: Masamune edge(Ultimate damage)(Water stance), Samurai cham: Melee damage+ explodesive blade radius 100%(important) (combat regeneration) Dirt Throw: CD reduction, cooldown reduction on kill (RANCID) applies weaken on hit. Caldrop for more rancid debuff. (Gameplay) Debuff with Caldrop or Dirt throw> Pop explosive blade > get massive damage aoe everything. build resolve quick > Ultimate hachiman fury 5x slash = Profit. everything has 20% chance to crit including ultimate. Also dont know if explosive blade works with hachiman ult... but that would be crazy. 5 slashes explosions everywhere. against onis- debuff as many as u can, pop ult easy clean up. Give this build a try
Ive tested it out, u can pop ultimate then explosive blade for aoe damage. Also get smoke bombs instead of the caltrop for support play in case u need to revive ronins. Also get as much melee damage buff as u can. Technique 10% melee, charms 12% or weapon 12% for maximum dps. Just dirt throw on an oni and hack away. Using explosive blade also staggers non oni such as swordmens,bow, explosive dogs ,shieldmen and brutes so u can keep attacking for aoe. Also use water stance with explosive blade using the 8 slash combo If it crit it does double damage to their health and stamina too. Making breaking shields very easily. Also against oni with spear or invisible spearmen u have wind stance as a bonus to knock their guard VERY quick :) great for slaying onis. Last tip, smoke bomb + exploding blade and water 8 slashes combo is very strong. Dont assasinate, u will waste explode blade, just combo under smoke for delicious dps

I never knew heavenly strike could be super useful for mini stagger to add more damage with flame sword + explosive blade, just hack and when he attacks or teleport then use heavenly to stagger him. Totally amazing build
They should add the option to just upgrade the ki of your gear and that’s it. I got a god role skipping bow to drop with headshot damage, ranged damage, and headshot refund but it’s ki 100. I don’t want to reroll it lol.

Facts. Me and my friend did a nightmare story last night. My ronin and his assasin. Took us the second try to complete it. We were patient. I would distract, he would stealth crit, I would keep us healed, ECT. It's super fun.
If you wanna farm purple and legendary gear just go to ‘challenge’ hit story then turn off match making..once you get in run outta bounds then vote to replay the mission then once your done it a few times head to your gears and your see a lot of equipment that you can use or dismantle it’s really upto you and no it hasn’t been patched yet give it a go 💯
I didn’t use any resources until I reached 105 ki, in that time I just aimed to master the combat as best as I could, by the time I got to 105 ki I had more than enough resources to reforge all my gear to exactly what I wanted. Also focus on one main class until you reach 105 ki and above so you can instantly increase the ki of the other classes straight to high ki.
Tip: when you play with melee ,oni, and stagger perks on your gear when you reroll to upgrade you’ll get more stealth atk and stealth rolls. If you play with all stealth perks you’ll get more melee and resolve when you reroll gear.
currently in top100 for nightmare story leaderboards now, if i do the runs with my buddy we are getting at around 12min per run for a full completion run. This was with a skipping stone bow setup mixed with a hunter charm that boosts oni dmg as well as weaken on all HS's (which is 2 per shot thanks to the bow) we had quick and smooth runs with a Ronin+Assassin mix too the weaken status effect speeds things up tremendously as for the gearing up its best to simply stack up enough resources so you have plenty to burn through for getting the most optimal stats available on ya preferred gear. and stacking properties that cater to your used abilities and play style. doing it for legendary gear is easy cause the property stats are always at the max rate for what's rolled. the stockpile of resources for rerolling will be to sort out the purple gear and like he said waiting for the lucky 2/3 and then rerolling the off one. also always equip the highest level stuff you have when rerolling (even if you don't use it for said character or for current setup) for me it's some 110 it's i don't directly use cause some of the 108 and 107's i have are ideally statted it's a matter of grinding and rng how quick you'll have it sorted.

So I like 2 play surviver and tho I've only made it 2 sliver one thing I've noticed as I was guilty of it is. When a base is under attack all 4 people will charge after leaving other. Bases vulnerable. So for example the shipyard what I do is I stay atop the cliff. If the ship is attacked and all 3 of my allies go there I'll stay behind to defend the beach and cliff. I dont have 2 beat all the enemies just hold them off till help comes. I would suggest working in groups of 2.
My advice is always rank up before you start running it and gold or silver even if you have good equipment you will not have the perks to have game-changing and always always save your honor as long as you can
I really don't get why you can't do the oni treasure or Gyozen's curse solo. I've done the nightmare story solo completely twice, but it doesn't mean anything because you need to do all the bonus objectives, which REQUIRES two players, so I got no meaningful rewards
I guess it’s just because they really want this to be coop only. It would be nice to do everything solo tho. Mainly because half of the players I get matched with are trash or leave when they go down once.
Yea I notice that they put heavy emphasis on co-op which is awesome but when you get that one player who is a troll or sucks it really takes away from the game

can someone please convince me to take caltrops over healing gourd as hunter main. I usually stay on rooftops and move fast across the map to I don't have time for the ronin ability heal => self heal required. I don't feel stronger holding a point with the caltrops.

Tip: Dash attack cancel is easy to do, can be used with any weapon and even faster than water katana surging strikes. Learn it! (Moon katana cancel is too difficult for me 😞)

Didn't know you could eventually raise the Ki of older gear, great tip!
Though to raise the light you have to Reforge it so you’ll lose all the perks remember. So really it’s about having the right base item
The higher the item you get from the Loot of challenges survival received, the higher you can re-roll for a higher Ki individually items/weapons

Tip: If you're a hunter try and stay on the roof tops. You should only be on the ground if you have to touch the point

Do you need to be a certain class to get class item legendarys? Skipping bow for hunter, blow dart for assassin, etc.

It’s better to dismantle epic gear since it gives 8 honor while rare is only 5. Rare gear can also be refolled to epic while epic is capped to epic.
Tip: Spirit kunai is the best legendary, next to stepping Stone Bow

You can keep good rolls for a different build, like ones with ultimate or fire damage rather than straight damage.

All rank does is unlock you skills and outfits. After level 20, rank serves no real purpose
