After failing with 4 luggage racks of different brands, after having reinforced, protected and finally failed; I found the best luggage rack that exists on planet earth. I have more than 25 years of MTB on hard roads and very difficult trails. Tailfin turned out to be the best of the best! Lightweight, strong, well thought out. You can tell they have studied the problem of carrying luggage on a mountain bike and have solved it at NASA level. Thank you! And the interaction with the website to buy exactly what you need is very good! They have even thought about how to support my Garmin Varia! Geniuses!😃
Sort of a silly question but, does the top rail of the rack accommodate third party rack top bags? My most common use case for the rack/bag is only carrying a second set of gloves, vest, jacket, things you would want to swap out for rides where there's a significant change in temps. I love the look of your bags, but every time I see one, it's always loaded up. What does the bag look like when it's only partially loaded? Another suggestion perhaps, would be offering a smaller rack top bag for the circumstances I described. Love your products, not afraid to spend the money, but also considering the Ortlieb Quick Rack + Ortlieb Trunk bag for my particular use case.
Are you able to actually install an aluminium version and a carbon version tailfin rack system onto a road bike or gravel bike to enable the customers to understand more clearly before buying? Such a video will answer a lot of questions before customers even ask. What is the actual weight of the carbon edition and the aluminium edition?
I said this when i first used this bag in anger There needs to be eyelets for the black strapf to stay put i find they slip away to the sides and hence the bag opens to the elemenys I have added Rok straps which help And doesnt matter if you cross across the straps
Yes, it is absolutely fine fitting to a carbon seatpost - this is what most of our customers do too. The force exerted by the AeroPack’s seat post connector is much less than that exerted by the frame’s seat post clamp (which is typically torqued in place to 4-5Nm). If there is anything else I can help with, please let us know!

Hi Joseph, Our racks are designed to work in harmony with our rack bags, however, you can ofcourse attach a small dry bag using straps.
Of course it doesn't they want you to buy their bags

What sizes are the (alu) thru axles, which you deliver?
They do loads. When you configure your setup it gives you options
My bike is a Specialized Creo with a carbon seat post. Is your seat post mounting system you show in the video OK to use with a carbon seat post?
