Also, in various points of the arc, Qibli has said or thought things along the lines of “if only I had more power, I would be able to stop all these bad things from happening! I wouldn’t be anything like Darkstalker!” If you replace “I wouldn’t be anything like Darkstalker” with “ I wouldn’t be anything like Arctic”, then you are pretty much paraphrasing Darkstalker’s entire mindset!

I have an idea for a ‘what if’ scenario I’m actually really interested in! What if Clearsight had mated with the LeafWing ancestors instead, and created a new tribe of night/leaf dragons instead of hivewings? And instead of leafwings being nearly wiped out in the tree wars, it was the beetlewings (who would still be around) instead who went into hiding? Maybe the night/leaf dragons could be mushroom themed, and the alternate Queen wasp for this world could control dragons with spores?
@@SandpiperArtsofWOF Silkwings technically wouldn’t exist, they were created from the beetle/night hybrids. The beetlewings branched off into both hivewings and silkwings.
Some thoughts: I really like how Cyprus highlighted Thorn's battle to control the Scorpion Den instead of starting with "Oh ShE's QuEEn NoW" and i really appreciate that because the books dont talk about that. Also, in the sketching, I adore how you added Qibli's earring but made it slightly different, like, "oh, this is Qibli...but a different Qibli." I love how you made this from Thorn's perspective! Here’s an idea: what if the events on Pantala and Phyria switched? It would be the same tribes and queens, except Pantala would have the Great War, and Phyria would be dealing with the breath of evil! I think this would be very interesting, and quite a story. This is only a suggestion, but, if you would consider it, I’d be thrilled! Ur the best

I have a what-if suggestion. Basically, Chameleon follows kestrel after she took their egg. I imagine that chameleon would try to protect them, like chameleon and kestrel both take one of the two dragonets(like chameleon grabs sky and kestrel grabs peril) and they make a run for it, hoping scarlet doesn't follow.
This is probably one of my favorite ‘What If?’ episodes yet! Amazing detail in Thorn’s perspective! These videos always make my day and get me hooked on the concept of each one for multiple days. Also, I have a suggestion that I would be thrilled if you decided to look into it. What if Darkstalker’s scroll actually worked and preserved his soul? I honestly love this au! If you need some suggestions, I have a few: What if Starflight grew up with the Nightwings? What if Carnelian survived the explosion? What if Viper didn’t die?
What if glory went visible and ran away whenever Scarlett was invading the cave, so she was never there to stop scarlet and the fight between Clay and Peril. And Clay wins by hiting Peril to hard with his tale and accidentally kills her after she threatens to kill his friends. Sunny is At burns castle, and Glory is planning to get everybody out of the Skywing kingdom, Starflights with the other nightwings and Clay and Tsunami are stuck in the Arena.

Assuming that were possible, would Darkstalker make it so that Clearsight returns to the place where he is and where the spell is cast, or would she return to her last known location all the way over in Pantala? Either way, the Pantala refugee dragons would lose their collective minds, since from their perspective Clearsight is a religious figure and author of their holy book. Her being magically resurrected seemingly just in time for the events of Arc 3 would be taken as a sign. She would have some choice words for Queen Wasp, that's for sure.
You've written some terrifying stuff before (Animus Sunny inventing the Matrix comes to mind), but this is definitely up there. It was made highly evident all throughout the second arc (but especially Book 5) that Qibil could've easily been a unstoppable villain if not for his kindness and loyalty (both traits instilled in him by Thorn) and his deep insecurity (which was undoubtedly squashed forever when he killed Vulture). It would not surprise me to learn that this Qibli killed (or at least arranged the deaths of) not only his grandfather, but also his abusive siblings, and possibly his mother. This Qibli would be perfectly capable of putting up a charade at the Academy, likely by using his relative anonymity to assume a false identity in order to spy. If the events of the second arc ended up happening in a more or less similar way, I have no doubt that this Qibli would first accept Darkstalker's offer, eventually find some way around whatever conditions or limitations he instilled, then kill him and take his place.
I think an interesting what if would be what if Peril travelled with Kestrel? I think this would bring up many things, like would Kestrel still die? Would Peril still free Scarlet in book 5? I think this would be incredibly interesting au to dig into!
OMG. What if he knows Charmeleon?! Look they can never find him, he has the tranq darts, which only rainwings have I think! That would be so cool! AHHHH. Of course I haven’t read the books in a HOT MINUTE, but just imagine

10:40-10:54 Ostrich? Why would she have any motive to lead them to Qibli? She's the daughter of Sic-claws, one of Thorn's most trusted generals. Do you mean that it would be Onyx in the Jade Winglet? I feel like it would just make more sense that she and Qibli just have the same plan she had with Vulture in the main story.
Qibli has a bit of an Ego. Certainly so. However, it is worth noting that he likely still has that innate desire to be liked, potentially just morphed slightly but still craves approval. AND had taken multiple steps to take efforts not to be an **overt** threat. Money rules more times than not in that life. And while I could see him holding onto some groups via politicking for lack of a better word. Yet he still needs an influx of funds and by the sounds of it, the scorpion den is no longer overtly that haven. So I would bet more than I own that Qibli has taken more subtle ways to keep his followers happy. lifting from supply shipments from different kingdoms. Subtle infiltration of different public offices. perhaps and most certainly not focused on the sandwings, just where ever the opportunity presents itself. All of the above rambling to note that I sincerely doubt He would warn Thorn like that just to try and get her to back down. A few options come to mind. Perhaps he is trying to keep her looking into the den? but even still, It feels odd for him to have surrendered one hell of an advantage, that being his anonymity just to make a threat. Not many things come to mind but he knows something. there is something coming that he feels is worth exposing himself to probably open a dialog with Thorn... the best thing that comes to mind is maybe he knows Scarlet is making plays? Or perhaps he found Onyx? Id... I can't say for certain what he would do if placed into a situation like what Vulture was with Onyx. I could see him just as easily planning to try and overthrow Thorn if he thought he could influence her properly. And OR set Onyx up to try and gain favor with Thorn? Many possibilities. Many turbulence.
What if... the Jade Winglet couldn't save the Icewings before defeating Darkstalker? Pantalan perspective. Alternatively; What if Winter returned the Pyrite necklace to Hailstorm instead of taking him back to the Ice kingdom?
I feel like qibli would become worlds youngest and best criminal, it honestly scares me for him to maybe attempt to assassinate thorn or vulture, even a dragonet of destiny, anyways pls make one where qibli becomes evil and goes on a rampage in the skywing kingdom

You've written some terrifying stuff before (Animus Sunny inventing the Matrix comes to mind), but this is definitely up there. It was made highly evident all throughout the second arc (but especially Book 5) that Qibil could've easily been a unstoppable villain if not for his kindness and loyalty (both traits instilled in him by Thorn) and his deep insecurity (which was undoubtedly squashed forever when he killed Vulture). It would not surprise me to learn that this Qibli killed (or at least arranged the deaths of) not only his grandfather, but also his abusive siblings, and possibly his mother.
This Qibli would be perfectly capable of putting up a charade at the Academy, likely by using his relative anonymity to assume a false identity in order to spy.
If the events of the second arc ended up happening in a more or less similar way, I have no doubt that this Qibli would first accept Darkstalker's offer, eventually find some way around whatever conditions or limitations he instilled, then kill him and take his place.

I think an interesting what if would be what if Peril travelled with Kestrel? I think this would bring up many things, like would Kestrel still die? Would Peril still free Scarlet in book 5? I think this would be incredibly interesting au to dig into!

If Qibli had gone bad, he would be he would be one of the most dangerous villains in the series, really only being beaten by Darkstalker

10:40-10:54 Ostrich? Why would she have any motive to lead them to Qibli? She's the daughter of Sic-claws, one of Thorn's most trusted generals. Do you mean that it would be Onyx in the Jade Winglet? I feel like it would just make more sense that she and Qibli just have the same plan she had with Vulture in the main story.
Qibli has a bit of an Ego. Certainly so. However, it is worth noting that he likely still has that innate desire to be liked, potentially just morphed slightly but still craves approval. AND had taken multiple steps to take efforts not to be an **overt** threat. Money rules more times than not in that life. And while I could see him holding onto some groups via politicking for lack of a better word. Yet he still needs an influx of funds and by the sounds of it, the scorpion den is no longer overtly that haven. So I would bet more than I own that Qibli has taken more subtle ways to keep his followers happy. lifting from supply shipments from different kingdoms. Subtle infiltration of different public offices. perhaps and most certainly not focused on the sandwings, just where ever the opportunity presents itself.
All of the above rambling to note that I sincerely doubt He would warn Thorn like that just to try and get her to back down. A few options come to mind. Perhaps he is trying to keep her looking into the den? but even still, It feels odd for him to have surrendered one hell of an advantage, that being his anonymity just to make a threat. Not many things come to mind but he knows something. there is something coming that he feels is worth exposing himself to probably open a dialog with Thorn... the best thing that comes to mind is maybe he knows Scarlet is making plays?
Or perhaps he found Onyx? Id... I can't say for certain what he would do if placed into a situation like what Vulture was with Onyx. I could see him just as easily planning to try and overthrow Thorn if he thought he could influence her properly. And OR set Onyx up to try and gain favor with Thorn? Many possibilities. Many turbulence.
